On April 30, 1943, in the middle of World War II, a body washed up on the shore of Huelva, Spain. The deceased man was wearing a British military uniform. There was a briefcase strapped to his body containing British and American military secrets.
The man was Major William Martin, a British Royal Marine who was the single victim of a fatal plane crash at sea.
He had just returned from temporary leave in London, where he had gone to the theater and purchased an engagement ring for his fiancee, Pam.
But there was something very strange about Major William Martin.
He didn’t exist.

One of the best unintended consequences of Mincemeat was that the Germans started to distrust genuine documents that they found later in the war, as they assumed that they were fakes planted by the Allies.
It was a real treat to see one of my favourite stories told by one of my favourite channels!
This sort of thinking is only defeated when you are consciously aware of your enemies overall intent and strategy. We know they lie and deceive and as the credibility wanes so does their ability to misdirect. They become obvious. Hitler was on a lot of drugs towards the end... supposedly

I have an episode suggestion. The conspiracy surrounding Stanley Kubrick’s death and his last film Eyes Wide Shut. There’s a lot of lore suggesting that he was murdered by some shadowy elite organization for exposing their secret rituals in EWS. I think you could definitely do this story some justice. Love your channel!! Your content is always top notch.

Stanley Kubrick exposed all kinds of things. I saw eyes wide shut. There was nothing in that movie that we didn't already know. Stanley Kubrick made a deal with the devil. And his contract came up. Stanley Kubrick could have gone on exposing all kinds of things but the other side doesn't care because nobody pays any attention. Stanley Kubrick's contract was due. Simple as that.
I'm a huge fan of Mr. Ballen before I discovered Why Files. For the 1st time ever, they both uploaded the same story, with AJ's just a day ahead. And I just gotta say, AJ's take on this topic took a deeper dive 🔥

I've heard the Martin story numerous times as I am a military history buff, but I like the way you segued it into the CIA's activities. I wish more people were aware of the CIA's past and be able to understand what they are capable of and how they really cannot be trusted to keep our best interests in mind.
They seem to not be working for the interests of our country and possibly taking orders from globalist organizations
The CIA could be forgiven for their past mistakes if they only could protect us from the CCP. This is like the Super Bowl and the World Series for them combined. And our country is in a lot of trouble. I don’t see how they can protect us when half the politicians in the government are on the take.

Same. I thought hecklefish was a terrible and unneeded character initially, but he’s SUCH BRILLIANT AND NECESSARY comic relief. And he’s perfectly used, like a spicy seasoning.
I remember after a particularly distressing Why Files, I was dangerously close to preordering the hecklefish talking plush… that’s how much I enjoyed and appreciated his asides in that episode
Hecklefish is fucking brilliant. It gives him an outlet to express the craziest parts of theories while simultaneously coming across as MORE reasonable instead of less!

You know what would be a good idea for an episode, that story about the guy who got off a plane in Tokyo 1969 and said he was from a country that didnt exist, Taured. He pointed it out on a map and it was named something else but he swore that was his country, Taured. His passport had his countrys name in it and everything. Then the guy disappeared from a gaurded hotel room overnight.

Yeah I agree, this show is just always a good time. A lot of them are stories I've heard, but still enjoy them.
It could be even better if it would start exposing the corruption in our government today. Start with "Crossfire Hurricane", or maybe Hunter Biden's "Laptop From Hell".
Would really like to hear you talk about more topics like this. I've always loved learning about history, and in particular learning about mysterious events during world conflicts. The channel Bedtime Stories sometimes has videos recounting the eyewitness stories of people in the military. I surely there must be some wild stuff out there.

I watched The Why Files on Thursday night when it dropped but just now on Saturday afternoon I was watching Mr. Ballen's new video and they both touched on the same subject less than 48 hours in-between each other. Crazy that 2 great channels both touched on the same story so close together.

The why files Never disappoints. It’s so important for people to not believe snippets of what they hear and actually do research. The age of information has so much misinformation and no one seems to check. Your videos show how important it is to WAIT till the end (or find independent research) to see if what we hear or see is indeed true.
