Hiya Folks! The culmination of 4+ weeks of Warcraft 3 campaigns & video editing. Sanity lost. PC toasted. Hotel? Stratholme. (Re-rerecorded some scenes for updated animations. I added all the music. Changed some parts due to constructive criticism. Thank you!)
Thank you all for following my gameplays & compilation for Warcraft 3: Reforged. Considering this release fell in line with patch 8.3, I’ve been producing videos since like January. My coffee infused IV never fails. This is as close as we’ll probably get to an Arthas movie. My hopes and dreams go linger that one day we get a trilogy or full CGI movie that does his story justice. Now, I retire, and collapse unconscious.
What is so different in reforged from the version before that we had to pay 24.99 for it?

Arthas always had been a good prince, if you played the original WC3 you can feel that he truly wants to save his people, every chapter in the campaign he gets more and more desperate to save his people, no one but him saw what he saw with the plague, and worst of all no one believed him it was that serious, to everyone else he was just an amateur prince playing knight. He does sound mad when he wants to purge his city without any proof, and it seems like he just wanted to kill people because he's gone mad. But in reality it was the only way to save his people and no one was able to accept that fact but arthas. He always did what's best, sometimes he stoops low but it was all for a good cause. Until he touched the frostmoure, then there was no turning back. In the original WC3 the people in the city didn't seem sick, because of the lack of animation, they just seem like normal people, if only someone believed in arthas, he probably never would ended up on this path.

Huh... so, knowing what we do now about ICC's architecture, after Arthas sat on the throne on top of that ice spire, the actual metal citadel was then constructed around it (by the Scourge and/or the Cult of the Damned, I assume?), based on the architecture of Torghast.
Reviewing this during SL 9.1... very intriguing. It would seem that the Lich King is playing the long game under the direction of the Gaoler in order to fight off the Legion once and for all. Worth the sacrifices... Sylvanas is caught up in something she never understood the scope of and the Old Gods are still around...

Even after Arthas death Slyvanas hates him alot. Alot people hate her alot and now all shock how evil she is. When she been like that since she was turned into Banshee. Jania has commited war crimes too without being punished. The blood elves was going join the Alliance again until Jania killed and prisoned some in Dalarn. It even made Varian pissed off at Jania for doing what she did.

This really needs a live-action series adaptation, with Henry Cavill as Arthas! But for the love of god, DON'T MAKE A MOVIE! DON'T DO IT! Imagine if they tried to fit all of Game of Thrones into just one 1.5 hour movie. It would never work! Instead, do it like a series. And take it slow. Use the first 3-4 seasons to describe the Arthas plot as a human paladin until he acquires Frostmourne. And do it sloooow! Take your time to flesh out the Arthas-Jaina love plot, introduce the characters like properly, like Antonidas, Terenas... Spend time on the court intrigue at the Lordaeron court between Terenas and his advicers, the political relations to Silvermoon, Gilneas, the Arathor kingdom and other human kingdoms, the Dwarfs, the troll savages ravaging the lands... Take your time to flesh out the lore.
And introduce the threat of the Cult of the Damned and the scourge plot as a mysterious, eerie slow threat as first, that nobody really knows anything about at first, and people maybe even don't want to acknowledge/talk about seriously (like how the White Walkers threat in GOT was introduced in series 1-6, but without dropping it all on the floor in season 8). And then slowly scale the threat upwards, until Arthas begins to loose his mind and culls Stratholme in Season 2-3...
But whatever you do Blizzard, DONT MAKE A MOVIE! Make a series like the Witcher / Game of Thrones, downplay the fantasy elements as much as possible, and DON'T name it "Warcraft". Make it accessible to the general public, like naming it "Fall of a Kingdom" or whatever, so the name of the series don't immediately direct non-fans' attention to 30-year old guys sitting gaming in their mothers basement (sorry but it's true).
If done right, as a series, I think the Arthas plotline of Warcraft could be a massive commercial success. But only if done right.

Something very subtle, looking back. The only cinematic scenes that were properly redone were Stratholme, Sylvanas' death and this. Almost like it was tying into Shadowlands. They even bothered to animate Arthas unconsciously reaching for the sword. But most importantly... HIS EYES ARE GLOWING after he takes Frostmourne. Why is that? Oh, could it be... Domination magic? Tichondruis said that the first soul the blade claimed was that of Arthas.

Medivh is supposed to be a legendary wizard in Warcraft right? Did nobody recognize him at all? Was the gap between Warcraft 1-2 and 3 that long?
That's what I don't like, because why are some moments cut out? Some moments of dialogue or other important points. Why did you cut them out?
I blame uther and jaina for arthas downfall. They could have atleast go with him and verify if his words were true.

If illidan won then the world is doom. Due to lich king is one of the faction that held the legion at bay. Night elf and other still suffer from battle at the World tree. The human on azaroth is so cocky that they still believe they can beat the threat without the help of other race. Which lead to the only faction left is undead. Lich king wiped out all trace of legion in both north and lordragon.
Nothing beats Arthas shredding it at the end...

For me WoW has ended with the death of Arthas. It was a final conclusion of an epic journey worth of a lifetime. There won't be anything like that any more.
WoW/Warcraft is the closet game to what we truly live in called "All of All". King Arthas was born by the flat line and is litterely the Lich King & Linch king. In about two years we will all see that we've been living behind a sinister magic cloak and have been living in a 196 Centillion year old infinity existence.
You'll be suprised what the the devs and others know when they made this game as well as the elder scrolls.

in truth Arthas actually saved Azeroth by betraying the legion. The legion were far more dangerous than arthas (arthas was more powerful than most demons) but he seemed to lack an interest in world domination. He wanted Lordaeron, and took up seat in Northrend. That sliver of him that was in there held the scourge back, and he forced the legion back.
Yep indeed. He did save by cleansing the legion out of his homeland but also the living too.
Awesome video. But the last two "bonusses" completely screwed it. It would have been super epic if you just leave until the frozen throne scene.
