You’re DIY’S are always a hit, and keep us all wanting more! I want to hang out stockings this year from a mantle, I will make. A week ago Tuesday my son in law passed away. He tested positive for Covid, Unfortunately our household got it except for our eldest son- Thanks to our Loving Heavenly Father we are All doing better and will be better before we know it. My son in law had no idea he had this and his job was with the public. He was always very consciously about contracting it. When I’m better I will make the lamp post! Everyone please stay safe. The community I live in has been hit hard with this stuff. I try not to say the name of this virus as I don’t want to give it any Power and for it to manifest!! My flipping FAVORITE, I love love it! Being able to change it out through the seasons. The price blew me away. I had a birdhouse that was about half the size spindle in my 1st. place, and I put greenery around the base,and adding roof panels, made it mine, and I always wanted sum thing kinda similar, but this lamppost is my dream 😁
I love your videos, I love Christmas decorations, amazing how ideas I get from videos that I see on Pinterest, or CZcams, I been doing craft for many years, love it, I been retired for almost 11 yrs. and all my learning experiences for Christmas came from my parents, they used to do all the decorations, now they are gone, and I continue on my own, but looking at your video, this is amazing , you have great ideas, I love it, I will continue following you, thank you for sharing your experiences and taste on decorating, you're in a nice climate warm, we are in Massachusetts and it is very cold, expecting a snow storm, so my Sunday is going to be busy doing my Christmas decorations around the house, I love putting my decoration around the house.

@@designedtothenines Thank you for responding , I live in Milton, Massachusetts, but many years ago visit on vacation Wells Beach in Maine, I love it, I was very young, went with my parents and my sisters, I haven't returned, but I love New England, this is my residence since I came from my beautiful island "Cuba" when I was 12 yrs old, many years ago, almost 50 yrs. next year, I love your decorations, I decorated my house, and use my mom's dolls collections, I love this time of the year, but you inspired me with your decoration, it is too late now, but I love the light post, next year I will do it, thank you again, and wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,looking forward to more of your decorations videos.

BTW, I am subscribed to your channel and recently posted about how I have to move and give up my work shop but I can still sew, etc. As a renter, whenever I spend $ on "upgrades", I try to "make 'em so I can take 'em". I could be wrong and perhaps a million people have had my idea, but maybe not. It sold the first day I listed it and a lot of people were disappointed that I wouldn't be able to make more as I'm moving. I didn't find a way to share privately and I promise I'm not a gimmick or stalker, you inspire me and I would just love to see you improve my idea for other renters like me

THis is a great project. Frost the glass and put a color changing candle or bulb inside and it would be great for a Christmas party.

Having children, you always inevitably have bits and pieces of games. I've saved them in a re-purposed gallon pickle jar - everything from old Barbie accessories to games pieces to scrabble tiles to things that have come from cracker jacks or happy meals. Buttons, old drawer pulls, windows from an old dollhouse that i made over.... the jar is full or everything! I am constantly adding to and using things from it so it's never been completely full, but it has been well worth my effort. My children argue over who will inherit the Treasure Jar... LOL This project is awesome! I agree that the dollar tree projects are great but are not sturdy enough to survive year after year with children and pets and now, grandchildren. And this is one I can do on my own without having to schedule time with DH to help! Great job!!

I LOVE the Treasure Jar idea! Going to start one Today! And I'm sorry but those Dollar Tree diy's seem almost a waste of money! I don't know how some of the ones I've seen, last for a single holiday for a home with no kids or pets and much less when you put children and or pets in the picture! This one however, is not going anywhere anytime soon!

So totally brilliant! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that you made that lamp out of real wood. Dollar Tree materials are so flimsy and the projects I have seen, while cute designs, just look cheap. You really rocked the lamp post project. I was thinking you could easily sell them (to locals, of course). The stocking idea is cute, too. I held my breath as you applied the black vinyl lettering. It helps that it’s glitter vinyl, but white, silver, or gold glitter vinyl might add just the right amount of contrast.

I am going to make a halloween one with a skeleton around the post and probably skeleton bats hanging upside down or a crow on the dowels or both. Can wrap battery lights around post and a color changing candle in lantern. Got my creative juices flowing. THANKS.

Nice if you did this yo can do a fireplace. Stockings really added to project. When in large room you understand placement and craft projects height with size. Really high end yet it's beautiful.

LOVE this!!! This is going on my "To Do" list for sure. Great job with finding the checker and chess pieces to finish off the dowels, very creative.
