I just cleaned a house that had 4 animals let loose in it. The peed on the doors and walls, the tenants had not cleaned anything in 5 years. The smell alone would make you sick. It was a nice house in a beautiful neighborhood. This looks amazing, it could have been so much worse.

Just an idea..... Remove the upstairs deck completely and replace the door to the deck with a beautiful window. - might help bring down the construction cost. I look forward to the next video. Cheers..

It looked okay to me, just looked lived in. From your initial reaction I was expecting a real disaster. It just looks like some cosmetic stuff and replacing a few fixtures along with sprucing things up a bit inside. If I were you, I would skip painting the exterior since you have to replace the roof. I would consider putting a roof over the deck while you are replacing the house roof and replacing the deck. Good luck and hope you can keep costs as low as possible. Owning a home is never cheap. :(

As someone in the rental industry this house is not at all in bad shape! Without mentioning the disgusting stuff, I have seen appliances taken, doors and cabinets removed or intentionally destroyed, concrete poured down toilets. The stuff in the garage is nothing!

It looks as tho mostly cosmetic. Luxury vinyl flooring won’t break the bank. Curtains horrible but when you take those down, raise the rods high and install drapes that go to the floor it will

I just cant understand why the property wasnt properly maintained over the 10 year period? Not painted for 10 years? Why? I feel like renters cant the crappy end of the stick many times. So sorry i cant feel sorry for you at all. I do think that you will make it beautiful however.

I have just started the video and needed to pause to comment. Guys, this is a palace!!! For all the years it hasn’t been taken care of by an owner who takes pride in ownership but tenants. I was expecting it to be so much worse from your comments!! There are so many possibilities in choosing what “your” renovation plan will end up looking like. I know some folks who would just sell it as a fixer upper and avoid the stress and walk away keeping in mind all the rental income you’ve earned from it. Some would be sneaky and see what they could get away with band aiding the reno. Literally so many levels of renovation and dollars spent. But . . . . I have been watching you for years now and know pretty much the direction you two will choose. 😂 You both have ethics, morals and a New England work determination!!! Plus, look at the series you’ll produce for CZcams showing others what can happen when you make your choice and “do whatcha gotta do” jumping in with both feet and your eyes wide open. Looking forward to 👀👀👀 you work your way through this project. You’ve got this and you’ve definitely got the “Power”!!! ❤🌲🦞
