@Natalee I seen the countertop but not the sealer can you send me the name of it please
My😅
Please include the caulking used-I’ve used many before for moulding projects snd they end up cracking-and looking for what u used. Also please share ur clamp down that u used to cut the butcher block with. If from Lowes, I’ll support them.
Do you find eggshell paint on the walls hard to clean?
You never cease to amaze me. I see why HGTV wanted you & why you did you bc I cannot imagine us being us denied your independent talent & designs. Bravo, Beautiful Lady. You are going to make me replace my dining room table with that amazing herringbone!! Miss Natalee you always inspire us….THANK YOU for helping us Love our surroundings & home, even if alone like me !!
You are one gutsy lady tackling the butcher block table. So proud of you.
🥰🙏💕
I am at the hospital with my husband. I’m here 12 hours a day. He sleeps most of the time so I’m here looking for things to do. I decided to watch your channel and I just wanted you to know how you’ve saved me! I so enjoy your episodes, your talent, your energy, your outlook, and your smiling face! Thank you so much! I’m so bummed because I’m closing in on seeing all the episodes! Keep up the great work and I’ll be looking out for new episodes! Thanks again and God bless! 😊❤
You are so incredibly talented and inspiring. I'm 65 years old and recently retired. You have me thinking I can take up my old DIY hobbies from my 30s and 40s. I'll never be able to match your skills but I'm excited to try. I hope your hubby knows how luck he is. I think he does ❣
Natalee you not only could turn them into cutting boards but also little mini risers add on some feet and you could use them in the bathrooms and kitchen..This turned out beautifully...love it
Risers? Cute!!!
Dolly is just the very best helper you could have! Sweet Dolly!
The cost for the materials and decor is under 1500.00. But the craftsmanship is priceless. Great job!🌺
So glad you made the table long and wide enough to accommodate the length of the bench. So often I see a way too small a table paired with a longer bench, which makes no sense to me.❤
You are the Queen of carpentry, painting and decorating! Small cutting boards would be awesome!! Love your videos!
Impressive job! I am sure your husband is amazed by his talented wife. You might consider using the extra butcher block down center of the table for decor or charcuterie board for parties or riser’s for decor. Love the space
Charcuterie board!!! Awesome idea!
Your skills are amazing. You certainly can design and create your vision. The breakfast nook looks great and I'm sure that your family will really enjoy using your new space. Well done!
Looks amazing! It’s a good idea to put the finish on the table bottom as well so that it is sealed all over. It stops the wood warping and is recommended for all natural wood surfaces that are finished in any way.
Great tip! Thank you 🙏
I used to have your level of energy NataLee...I so miss those days. Health issues have knocked me down. Im trying to get better! I love what you have done with the nook! I just love it!
Me too….recovering from cancer treatment but getting better and better. Natalie inspired me with sharing that her own health challenges has taken her out of commission for some time….but she is Superwoman! She inspires me not just with her abundant talents but with her positive attitude and resilience. God bless and 🙏 for you Debra! Hoping you recover too.
So many designers put a round table in an L-shaped nook like this. Your rectangular one really maximizes how many people can sit at the table!
You truly are super woman, a carpenter, designer ,painter and seamstresses 👏👏
Yes, I agree with you I envy ( good) HER TALENT it amazes me to see how she made everything so easy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful elegance, NataLee! Huge impact in a small space. I love it when you are moving at high speed - I wish I had that Superpower!
A tip for getting the foam in the cover - save or pick up a long dry cleaner bag. Put the bag over the foam, tear the top open & fold it over the foam. Slide the cover over the foam - your idea to fold the inside out half way is perfect - then work the cover over the foam. Once everything is situated, tug on the dry cleaner bag & it will slide out. I used this on window seat cushions and it was a life-saver.
Thank you again for a fabulous tutorial & a load of inspiration! xo
those corners would drive me nuts... they just need a little rounding to take the sharp off.
This extreme breakfast nook makeover was a revelation. The step-by-step breakdown made it seem achievable, even for a DIY novice like myself.
My brother in Law worked for Macy's Furniture making custom couches. He had his own Upholstery Company for over 50 years. What I saw him do when inserting the Cushions in the covers, he put the Cushions i a big CLEAN Garbage bag and with his vacuum, he shunk it. It was AMAZING when he would do that. It was FAST, EASY AND SO EFFICIENT.
This idea is bomb! Love it so much!!’🤯
Wow!! You always amaze me Natalee!! Your breakfast nook turned out beautifully!! That table is gorgeous!! Have a great weekend!!
PS..take a well-deserved break...lol!!
Late watching this video. Been sewing new draperies and making new accessory pillows for our master bedroom. Your breakfast banquette turned out lovely. Love the added picture frame feature. Absolutely LOVE the herringbone table. Excellent job. Here is a hint that hubby and I got years ago from a retired upholsterer. Use an electric knife to cut foam for cushions. It slices the foam like butter. Have used this tip many times. Great video!
It does work like a charm! 💕
NataLee, I can't believe how beautiful the color white is. We have been bombarded with color and darker tones for some time. White is refreshing. I have commented on this video, but I'm amazed by your talent. You have taught me so much. I wish I were my younger self.
I absolutely love it! I have everything in my house, basically...as having my hand, or my husbands hands...that made it...or spruced it up. It makes our home.....home to us.
Love it!!
I have a trick for inserting foam ..... if you cover the foam in plastic, like a cut open trash bag, making it into a strip of plastic, or you could use another large strip of plastic..... wrap the plastic around the foam part that you will be inserting into your fabric. It will slide in easily, and then you pull out the plastic and your foam should now be in place. I hope this makes sense.
Love this! Thank you 🙏
💪FYI if the edges/ends of foam are wrapped somewhat with plastic it helps to slip the foam inside when longer than your arms can reach. And if plastic is lightweight such as for garbage-and shorter on one side of foam- just tug- it slips right out😍
I love this idea. The next time I will try it!
The 6" wide piece you cut off the table top could become a ledge for a few photos, a plant, etc.
While I haven't summoned the courage to try projects at your level, I am learning so many tips and tricks by watching, then when I do, I should be more successful. Thank you!
You can do it!
Beautiful! I wish I had a space to put a banquet :) Some tricks for getting foam into cushions: they make a spray that you can put on the foam to make it slick and easier to slide in. But, the DIY trick is to put the foam into a garbage bag, stuff the foam in to the pillow/cushion cover (trash bag open end first), slide and work the foam into place and then pull the garbage bag out. :)
Great idea!!
You totally blow me away with how talented you are and how awesome everything turns out looking. Very impressive, I just love you. Thank you for sharing your life and your talent with us. Your friend from Eastern Washington State. 🥰🥰
Thank you so much!🥰💕
Your space looks amazing!! I love the trim, the bench and the new chandelier. My favorite is definitely the table. Amazing as always!💕
Thanks so much friend!!
Ugh NataLee, don’t wear yourself out girl. It looks beautiful. I have the same light fixture picked out. Love it. Love your butcher block table too.
Love it. Like how the blacks bounce off the picture, light, pillows, center piece, the chairs, all blending it together. Then all the tans with wicker center to chairs, light shades, rug and again the pictures and pillows. You made great choices. Love the trim accents on wall and bottom of base on table it is perfect. Peace!
Thank you ☺️
Once again Natalee, you hit it out of the park!! The look is so high end, but the table is absolutely the best!!
Thanks so much! 😊
Wow NataLee, that looks amazing! What a beautiful table. Looks like such a cozy little breakfast nook 🥰
Natalee, that turned out absolutely beautiful. I have been wanting to do this in my nook and now I think I will after watching your video. You make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning!
Beautiful! I am enjoying these home improvement videos not only at this house but the Arizona house too!!!
Absolutely beautiful!
I love picture frame molding. That small amount of scrape equals great planning!
Yes! Thank you!
My thoughts on the remainder board is to cut it, piece together to make it a big dough (pasta dough too) board, then whatever is left use to make cheese boards & customize with cricut & wood burn technique that you've done before. 😍
Wow! The finished project looks amazing!!
Wow! That looks incredible!
You could use those six pieces of butcher block for wall art; just an idea. Beautiful as always!
Put some little finals on the bottom of those cut of pieces to make little risers! That wood is beautiful!
