- Hey everyone it's Rosie from @Rosie Crawford here. I actually forgot to add my socials to the video itself so they're here in the description - big oops! I hope today's video is useful for you. I know I've used some of these tips myself whilst writing my MSc scholarship applications and could've done with knowing them during my undergraduate application too. The aim of this video isn't to tell you how to write a personal statement, but how to complete supercurricular activities & show your enthusiasm for your subject with lockdown looming over us.

Background:
I graduated from the University of Oxford in 2019 with a degree in Archaeology and Anthropology and next year will be doing an MSc in Forensics at Cranfield University. I went to a state school in the North West of England and was on Pupil Premium.
Would love more videos like these! They are so helpful!!
Something I found my university offers is free access to LinkedIn Learning. There are so many courses to do on there, and once completed, they automatically get added onto your profile. It's usually paid, but it served as an opportunity when I found out to see exactly all the things my university offers for free.
For subjects like media, adobe at the moment is offering all sorts of free things in lockdown I think so you can learn to use software like photoshop or audition (sound editing).
And also DaVinci Resolve is a free editing software that can be easily downloaded and it's industry standard to use (it's a little difficult so especially if you live with other people, download it overnight, and be patient with it, expect it to take a little while to load up, but it's a great software)
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for such an informative video!!
This is such a helpful video for someone like me in Year 12 xx❤️❤️
Yay!
Online classes are THE BEST
In the beginning of quarantine I started a class called "Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology" (or sth, I am no sure?😂) but I got a bit bored of it... However, I recently finished a class I ABSOLUTELY LOVED called "Cultural Anthropology and World Issues". Now I am in the middle of "Intercultural Studies: Language and Culture"! I totally recommend all three.
I did Forensic Archaeology too - no boredom here but it is what my MSc will be in 😂
@@thestudytubeproject5210 oh that's sounds awesome! i liked the class at first, you know the stuff about the stages a dead body passes, but then there were all those animal bones and stuff 😅 I guess I am more into cultural anthropology
Also, good luck with your degree!💛
Where do u want to do your masters?
How can I study for long hours by staying concentrated ?any tips?😑☹️
Think about your future and the pros of studying now, like getting better grades and going to the uni/work area that you want. Also think of the cons and all that. If you think of good enough cons, u’ll actually get scared of not studying haha
A trick I use it to change positions or destinations of studying. For example I'll work at my desk for an hour, then lie on my bed, then go work at the table downstairs. It feels almost like you've done less work that way lol - Rosie
The StudyTube Project thank you very much
All online courses cost so much tho 😭
Most of the ones I discussed are free!! I made sure when I did my research to look up free courses. FutureLearn.com are all 100% free for sure xxx
@@thestudytubeproject5210 did I just .. get a reply !!! 😄😄😄😄
