Even though people struggle to accept, Mamamoo are the best vocalists of this generation, they're original, they don't fake their voices to fit any pre made style and sing so well even while making choreographies, they reach high notes with more stability so effortlessly that we might think it's easy. They cover other artists songs wonderfully, but when other artists cover their songs you can see, Mamamoo is unique.

i love them but you're kinda forgetting people like ailee taeyeon luna or even wendy from rv they're all so good and i think technically better than mamamoo. The strength of the group is that they balance each other so well and performance wise they're unmatchable but if we talk about vocals alone and put taste aside, they still struggle with high notes for instance and don't control their voice like idk taeyeon

moosomnia taeyeon (and luna, Ailee) (and Wendy is just a queen) has more experience and has improved since their debut which was in 2007, give mamamoo a few more years and they might be in the same level as her
I’m ngl, mamamoo does not have the best vocal, not when there people like Ailee, Solji, etc.
But they compensate that with their vocal harmony I Guess.
Actually, the rapper is not forcing her voice to be deeper. Her voice IS that deep and when she talks slowly, her voice sounds the same as when she rapped in this video.
Agreed! I think the initial part she was actually forcing a higher pitch. It sounds unnatural, but she got more comfortable towards the end when she went low because that's actually how she sound. 🤣😅
Great advice for all performers, not just singers. Thanks for explaining some of the techniques Mamamoo used in this beautiful performance on Immortal Songs in 2015. They debuted less than 18 months before Backwoods and though they've always been captivating performers their stage presence has improved since then and I think it's fair to say they own every stage they perform on these days. I'd love to hear your explanation of the vocal gymnastics in Paint Me, which is a more recent recording that was released in Jan, 2018. Imo they're best live but Paint Me is their vocal masterpiece in a recording studio.
I hope you react to Mamamoo's cover of Road to Sampo. I know Backwoods is their more popular ballad performance, but Road to Sampo is legitimately their best vocal performance (musically slash emotionally) to date imo.
Same, surprisingly backwoods is my least favorite out of all their immortal songs performances and road to sampo is in my top 3

Mamamoo have such amazing voices and when they sing together they become even more amazing if that's possible, I've lost count of how many times I've listened this song but everytime I got goosebumps, that's for sure!
Mamamoo are the best live vocal performers in Kpop:) Wheein’s voice is definitely my favorite though - pure honey.
Delilah and The Way to Sampo remain superior. All of their stages are amazing but those 2 covers are god tier. Thank you for your in-depth reaction! The cherry on top about mamamoo is their chemistry. No matter in terms of their stage performance and also their voices when they sing together. They are a great group and every one of them can sing.
My favorite Mamamoo performance ever. They nailed the technical aspects but in a way that just draws you in and takes you on an emotional journey.

Dr. Marc. I'm so glad that your listening to Mamamoo! Definitely one of the absolute best group of 4 female vocalists in Kpop now!! They are also one of the few that actually sing live as opposed to lip syncing especially on broadcast shows just about all others do (except BTS) I really hope you see more of their performances! To me, this was great but there are much better!!

I agree about Moonbyul aka the rapper's voice sounding like she's trying to make her voice lower. I really love her rap but I can't help but get an *itch* about her voice sounding unnatural (not sure if that's the right word) as if im cringing. Especially on their live performances because you can hear the 3 singers with their heavenly voices heavily contrast with moonbyul's clear and deep voice (which I really appreciate when she's harmonizing with another member, btw). At first I wasn't sure if she was forcing it but when I heard her sing, I felt much more comfortable hearing her voice!
Im not sure if it does any harm to her, but if it does then I hope she gets better coaching or something. It could also just be an artistic choice, and if it is then I'll just gladly continue to enjoy their music.
But her voice does have a deep tone and that is her natural voice.
React to Red Velvet Bad Boy and Umpah Umpah pls. Just like Mamamoo, they also have good vocals.
I like most your videos but this time you spent way to much time talking and over explaining it was redundant on top of redundant . . 3 minutes on their soft airy tone ? MAMAMOO are great singers but Taeyeon is even better (in my opinion)

Yeah, Wheein got one of the best voices out there. She sings with as much emotion as Tayeon, AND her technical skills are off the chart.
Mamamoo are still the best singers. I grow-up in the country of best tier singers. And Mamamoo are into that level. Just go to her video not her.
It's a fact, Taeyeon is really better... I am surprised that he hasn't checked any of her singing. Also Wendy she is even better than Taeyeon. It's not like I prefer her voice over others. It's just that she is better than any of the Mamamoo singers.
Mamamoo has their distinct voices. . Others have similar voices that if you put them in a one song, they can't be recognizable. Tbh, kpop gg have the same voices so Mamamoo is so a refreshing sound in your ears. Y'all don't heard MMM's stages and other Bsides though.
