Awesome truck and genius setup! Don't worry about the heat from the ESC. It's fine when the ESC get hot, or even felt really hot. It cuts of when it is getting too hot. There is no way that the ESC burns out by getting too hot. So, as long it is not cutting of, don't worry about the temp. Motor might get hot but with the weight and the gearing a 1/5th scale fan should fix that easy. Love your truck and videos 👍 Grz from the Basherqueen!
Nice job. I have mostly same upgrades as you.. and wieght went up fsst!.. im still on the bench regarding cap packs.. apparently they help the esc keep cool
I also think you could drop the pinion to 16/17 and have the same power but increased torque, I love the tires I’m going to try some myself thanks for sharing

Jason, clean motor and esc install. But looks like the JBIRC chassis skips the stock esc tray? Did you mount the esc right to the chassis? The way I bash I’d be freaked of all the chassis slap damaging the esc on big hits.
Yeah racing makes a twin cooling fan setup for the motor & I forget if the max 6 has a 40mm or 30mm fan if it's the 30mm yeah racing makes a real nice one & if it's 40mm search quite a few nice ones on eBay or Amazon
Funny you said that because I was thinking of getting a set. I've bought one NTF set up for the max 6, and just a cheapo Power HD twin set up for the motor. But I did buy upgraded fans for that set up too. So hopefully it will help.

try running stock wheels, i had the same wheels on my v4 notorious and it had over heating issues. as soon as i swapped the wheels back to stock, the over heating issues were gone! 👍🏻

That’s a beautiful Kraton! In time mine will look as nice, Slowly but surely haha ;) What is your punch level set to? I can tell it’s hard to keep all fours on the ground which I’m sure the 500k diff fluid has a lot to do with.
Im running a 20t and looking for fan setup with traxxas heatsink most likely go for ntf setup 2 fans splittet 1300mah lipo as the ntf fans run higher amp's....you can probably run new 8s arrma fan but how long before it stops working;

I jus bought that max6 ezrun esc n installed it in my shredder n I jus ran it on 4s wit the vanguard 2200kv motor n the 6s blx center diff n it looks like it’s on 6s!! I created a monster!! lol 😂!! Ima make a video n post it cuz it’s frkn bad ass now!!
Question.. would you honestly recommend these? I'm about to pull the trigger but the lack of videos of people actually using them are almost non existent. Even on the forums Ps we are so much alike when It comes to cleaning. I spend and enjoy almost as much if not more time cleaning my rigs. I take Pride in my work lol 😆 👍

WFO make some really really good fan shrouds and upgraded fans for the max ESC’s definitely will keep your temperatures down

I use twin NHX fans. Full aluminum and full ball bearings. They absolutely rip on 6 and 7 volts. Durable as well.

What are your temps and top speeds with this setup? I am temptd to get the 1650kv hobbywing as well for my 6s kraton.

Punch is set to 4. It's a lot of fun right now.
Why does thick CD oil cause the fronts to lift please🤔 and then would thinner oil help keep the front down 😎💎

Have same setup but, castle 1650kv with 20th & stock tires tho. Have a the skull skin on the bottom of M2C chassis.

I have the same motor/esc. Mine feels sooo heavy on the motor side. Have you done anything to balance it out.

My factory stock servo says 6.0-7.4 but came set to 6.0 am I safe to run at 7.4?

DSC1320 yeah I do. I like running belted a lot when I just want to rip around at high speeds.
