- We talked about most viruses and parasites on our last conversation, but we conveniently skipped the one virus that is actually found in Resident Evil 5.

When there's a game with great lore behind it, I typically will do ANYTHING in order to learn more about it. Good thing you are here to teach me about this game's lore.
Uroboros is not the combination of all the previous viruses. I originally assumed that aswell. But the truth is that this virus is a new strain of the Progenitor Virus. In order to create Uroboros, they needed an unaltered strain of the Progenitor Virus, which can only be found in one place.
This would be sound logic, if not for the fact that the Revelations 2 final boss is a successful host that *also* became a Tyrant in the process, showing that the T-Virus or some strand of it was involved in the Uroboros when it was being created.

I... think you got REvelations 1 mixed up with REvelations 2.
The final boss in RER does indeed resemble a Tyrant. Norman has injected himself with an overdose of T-Abyss, which is a combination of the newly discovered Abyss Virus and Umbrella's T-Virus. So it's not surprising that Norman turns into a Tyrant-like creature.
The final boss in RER2 is Alex Wesker, who injected herself with Uroboros right before the boss fight. And she was already mutated before that. After she shot herself, the T-Phobos Virus in her body brought her back to life and mutated her, which is why she looked so hideous. None of her mutated appearances resembled a Tyrant.

Ah, you mean Neil. He does vaguely resemble a tyrant, but he isn't one. He is a hulking beast. And it wasn't exactly his heart that was outside, but his core that every successfully Uroboros infected had in the same place. The same thing applied to both Weskers when they were infected with Uroboros.

In Revelations 2, you do actually get to see what happens when a compatible host is exposed to Uroboros. Avoiding spoilers, I'll just say it's a boss battle.

Actually the Uroboros virus was meant to evolve someone or something. The only proof we have is the Reapers from Resident Evil 5 that were originally cockroaches until accidentally exposed to the Uroboros Virus. Which evolved them into big Ass unstoppable monsters.

I could but there's really just a little bit on him outside of what you directly see in cinematics from RE:6. Definitely not enough for a full on Lore video, though i could do a commentary on it.

@@sherif956 I had this thought of another antagonist basically a combination of Mendez and Krauser. The leader of the warrior type majini, you'd meet him after beating Irving and he'd replace the second Uroboros fight but actually be a perfect vessel for Uroboros so we actually get to see what the real threat is.

It can be debated that if you have any Progenitor virus variant, dormant or otherwise, your body will take Uroboros. Hence, Neil was able to take it, much like the Weskers. All of them had the Progenitor virus or the t-Phobos virus. It confuses Uroboros, enabling control over the virus.

Also, talking about Uroburos not merging with anyone correctly, aside from Wesker, it has only successfully happened once and I think that was in R.E Revelation 2, with Nick being the host.

What I think would be really cool is if you had some nutcase who was intelligent enough or uncaring enough to either mix all the viruses together or take traits from all of the different viruses in order to create something amazing. Perhaps it would be better to say take the traits of perfect specimens affected by strands of the viruses things that were near a complete success and take their DNA to use in another specimen with another virus until you get something perfect. I had seen I one character in one of the game's who was affected by the C virus and he was able to willingly change his form from various creatures and back to human at will. Wesker himself has a strand of the t-virus in him which makes him stronger I believe he got it from the Tyrant that slashed him. Jack krauser has the parasite in him that allows him to be more resilient in combat and even mutate one arm into a weapon at will. Even the sniper who assists Chris Redfield in that underwater facility has a strand that turns one of his arms into an electrical or EMP weapon. Just imagine if you can take what you want from the viruses or creatures and engineer into a new bio weapon. Let's say you have perfect genes and would not need to die in order to receive these traits and were actually in charge of your mutations. imagine being able to heal like the regenerators and your organs all became individual creatures with a hive mind and the Soul Purpose to keep the main organism or body alive. Imagine if every individual organ could also heal itself if given enough time. the strength of a tyrant the ability to regenerate lost limbs or any damage they have been done. to mutate any appendage or even the entirety of your body into almost anything you could imagine. Imagine being able to shrug off bullets like a duck sheds water. Would that be something you would want?

I've just noticed the similarity with the Uroboros pulsating orange spots and in RE: Biohazard Jack Baker's pulsating orange eyes. There's also the fact of the tentacle like state of the Uroboros and Evelienes final form. The fact that she was genetically engineered and has quite a similarity to the virus is kinda leading me to think that Evelienes infection may be an improvement on the Uroboros virus.
And I'm sorry if I'm spelling the virus wrong I honestly have gone blank on how it's spelt

Jill got the t virus from nemesis, but carlos finds a vaccine not a cure to the virus, thus the t-virus just suspended in jill not eradicated completely, just like when William Birkin from RE2 when he infected his daughter with the G Virus and claire saves her but not curing it but suppressing the virus only

Personally i have the headcannon that wesker ironically wasnt a suitable host for the Ouroboros. He was just able to "force" it to behave as he wanted because of his bloodtype and rabid desire to murder his arch-enemy, Chris Redfield. If he had suceeded in killing chris and sheva hed eventually succumb to the virus and become some birkin-esque blob of doom.

Uroboros wasn't successful. Wesker did weaken it to a degree using Jill's T-Virus antibodies but it still had too potent an effect on failed hosts.
The third strain made by Alex Wesker was more controlled thanks to the T-Phobos virus, and actually kept incompatible hosts from mutating uncontrollably. The catch? The third strain was even weaker to heat and still created central weak points. That said it also created the Glasp, so I'd call that a success if the goal was pants crapping terror.
