When poppy spoke I didn’t think she could move her mouth, I though she just spoke out a voice box through her mouth, I was actually shocked when it happened
Honestly it would have been better if her mouth didn’t move. It would give the possessed doll feel better than that mouth animation

She actually reminds me of one of those Betty Spaghetty dolls. I had a couple as a kid. Her design was clearly based off them, combined with those sticky elastic hands.

That's what I thought too. I used to have these dolls when I was a kid (the McDonald's version) so it's kind of feel nostalgic.
I had a few of those dolls as well and I liked them but also found their faces unsettling so Mommy Long Legs has a special place in my heart already
Besides Betty Spaghetti, it might also be possible that Mommy's design may have also been inspired by "Jigglypuff" the poke'mon.

@@EmmyLayton it’s as Meru said: MOB games released some NFTs with a fragment of lore locked behind them. It was cynical as hell and preyed on younger fans, trying to get them to fork out a lot of money for multiple NFTs for what amounted to *very little* additional information.
This is on top of a *lot* of other extremely unethical crap they’ve pulled, from exploiting their workers, to bullying and intimidating a 15 year old animator, who they also plagiarised from. Oh, not to forget the sexualisation of child characters on their animation co-company. Not the nicest bunch.
Edit: CYNICAL as hell. I’m sure hell has cycles as well, but that’s diving into some deep theology that I for one know little about.

The commercial-like trailer is giving me flashbacks of watching tv while is was raining outside, sleeping on the sofa and waking up on the bed and spending months thinking I was some sort of powerful wizard. Good times

@@kaitlando636 not to my knowledge, although somewhere in the game there was a Huggy Wuggy jingle that plays when you first meet him and press a button on the podium describing what he is. Would be cool to see an actual commercial for him though

I never actually realized how big/strong/heavy Mommy long legs was until today. You can see that as she moving, she's causing the pipes and the entire area to tremble.

yeah, I think she will likely be incredibly slow due to that. If not for her super stretch arms she probably wouldn't' be much of a threat.

Did you notice in the commercial what’s on the shirts the kids are wearing? The yellow shirt has Huggy holding a sign, the red shirt has a huggy hand giving a mommy longlegs hand a high five, and the blue shirt has that kitty toy on it

Probably the same kid we first saw holding mommy long legs bc after we see the distorted face, the regular colored video pops up and the face literally matches the girl

@@christianparrish6647 It's a plastic doll that pretty much looks like a more "human" version of Mommy Long Legs. Being that her color scheme was more human-looking with tan skin and blond hair.

I'm betting during Mommy Long Legs' final boss fight, we're going to use something to freeze her, to slow her down, so we can lure her somewhere that will melt her.

Very likely. Use cold to slow her down to give us time to escape, and then melt her to finish her off once and for all. In a way she could be like Mr. X from Resident Evil II, always after us but you can't kill him till you reach the right point in the game to do so.
Man, I feel like my interpretation is dark 😅. We would somehow tangle her and use her limbs to strangle her OR we would have an epic boss fight using our long arms 😂

Just around min 1:59 and 2:01, there appears to be like a darkened missing clip from the 90's style commercial where it almost looks like Mommy Long Legs crawling through the leaves.
You can just barely make out motion in the lower left corner moving to the center of the shot.

Something that’s confusing me: There’s one Playtime Co. toy without any advertisements for it, in-game or trailer-wise.
In Chapter 1, there’s posters everywhere for Poppy, Huggy and Kissy, Bron, Boogie Bot, and Candy Cat, and Poppy has her commercial. And now, we have a commercial for Mommy Long Legs. But there’s no advertisements for that cat-bee toy that we made in Chapter 1. What’s the story for that? Is it a future enemy, a future companion (it always looks sad, even in toy-form)? Am I the only one who’s curious about Cat-Bee?
Me to, I feel like cat-bee will be someone like a twist companion that doesn’t like us at first but starts to trust us as time goes on.
Same here, I think Cat-bee looks like a prototype of some sort, maybe they were the latest/last toy Playtime managed to work on before being shutting down?
I have a theory that Cat Bee is one of the last toy Playtime Co. Made before it shut down and the Cat Bee we made in Chapter 1 might come alive and be our ally.

Agreed, it's WEIRD! Though Cat Bee does appear in an illustrated form in the main atrium where we first meet Huggy Wuggy, it's strange it doesn't exist in marketing in the factory. I'd love it to be our companion since it does look sad and not at all malicious, and honestly it's my favorite toy of all in the game from a visual standpoint and chapter 2's first trailer hints that Poppy might be unhinged as she says we are "perfect" "too perfect to lose." It'd be nice if Cat Bee turns out to be our only ally against the perfect toy, Poppy. Imperfect vs perfect.

Speaking that they mention that it’s “elastic plastic”, I believe that freezing temperatures will prove more effective (for a quicker way to stop her) cause even though plastic can melt, it won’t necessarily break immediately, and instead give her more reach and/or flexibility before the limbs break.

I dunno man, she looks like a 'kill me with fire' kinda gal to me.
As it should be known to everybody, in the new chapter we get a new glove that can hold an electrical charge, and lightning (or power or electrical power) can be extremely hot, I think that at the end of the chapter, we will need to interact with a machine that holds an electrical charge to only stun mummy long legs in order for us to escape her.
This chapter gives a BATIM: Chapter 3-esque vibe, where there is this entity giving you tasks and watching you, and in the end you find that the entity needs to be destroyed and you do destroy it
I love that they literally used the "itsy bitsy spider" melody for the Mommy Long Legs Commercial tune; just a really nice added touch
I… kinda wonder… if her hips could possibly be another face… When she flips upside down, the light reflections remind me of eyes, as well. Also, if she could do that kinda transformation, it’d be easier for her “hair” to become the other four “legs” of a spider.

Imagine getting two alternate ending routes, 1 is defeating Mommy Long Legs with heat and the other is defeating her by freezing her. Then depending on the ending, we might have two different boss in chapter 3.
Yes!!! I was thinking there may be a diverging point this chapter that affects stuff in the one after, like maybe you either go to an old freezer system or you go to a boiler room, and depending on which way you go it’ll also affect what tools you get to use next chapter to fight the boss then
Now THAT would be really cool! Gives the game more re-play value. Choose Path A for a harder time in Chapter 3, or Path B for a more difficult progression in Chapter 5 or something.
theory: what if the character we are playing as is in a coma and is dreaming the events of the game and is the reason why poppy is telling us to wake up as in to wake up from our coma, My possible story behind this ( I apologise if this back story to add to back up the theory is a a bit weak) is maybe when our character was just a normal employee, He was just using the grab pack on a couple boxes when one box must have fell on his head thus coma thus the events of the game.
So now we know that mommy can’t be customized like Betty spaghetti, but it would be really funny if we could see the Easter egg showing a lawsuit between the two companies because their characters look so similar

poppy playtime leaning into the "lost media" trope of 80s-90s commercial is really nice - there've been lots of ARGs like the hypnogogic archive that are really well crafted
theory: every chapter will have a commercial for the main antagonist at the start until the end where all the commercials are merged together and look creepy. also in the last chapter the antagonist will probably be all the broken up antagonists put together then destroyed
theory 2: one grabpack will be extremely hot and the other will be extremely cold. you can then use these to stun/ kill her. there will probably be machines to change the temperature of your grabpack
but poppy wasn't a antagonist huggy was and he didn't get a commercial

You know I noticed on the playground scene/clip there were some color rings hanging from the ceiling, so I believe that we need to swing cross the area, ( which probably there’s a hole at the bottom in the playground area) using the grab pack to swing from ring to ring to get away from the Caterpillar.

For me, I feel like the major antagonists of the chapters before the final one all serve some bigger threat. Mommy may be a powerful and important servant to that threat, but I can’t imagine she’s the big bad already. And as such I just can’t stop thinking: if mommy is powerful enough to bring the toys to life, how powerful must the thing she’s serving be?
You know, doing merch for this game must be really easy, since they already made real-life versions of the toys for the commercials

Hey Mike I I have an idea for what could happen if we defeat her by freezing her/burning her
Freezing:I feel like we will Lore her into a type of cold room so to speak Or just Throw a bunch of dry ice at her or we lock her in a room with freezing temperatures If so I feel like she’ll just be running around the entire room on the walls ceiling etc. or she might try to bang against the door trying to free her self Screaming and begging us to let her out But Of course we don’t
Burning;I feel like we were slow her into like a furnace of some sort outmaneuver her (Which is gonna take a lot of effort) I’ll maneuver her and get to the door and lock it and activate the furnace and she screams and backs on the door and we see her Exterior plastic body melting off we might see what’s Underneath that plastic layer which I believe is going to be human flesh or muscle

I know the chapter isn't out yet and I'm really excited to see more lore but I already had a theory about mommy long legs: since she tells us in the first trailer that it's been so long since she's had a new playmate maybe this means she was created before the employees disappeared, she could have been an orphan at the time and was turned into a toy that would act like a nanny to the other toys/orphans.
Also that whole train area also gave me a theory: what if these areas are where the orphans children were gathered and taken around the factory, unaware of the dark fate that waited them? That would make it easier to keep the children calm and happy to ensure none tried to escape
I think a playtime employee was getting chased by some toy at night in 6:06 .
And also maybe someone took her in extreme heat so she became monsterous toy (maybe could be). The lores of this game is very interesting.

In case y’all r still doubting that the “Do Not Expose To Extreme Temperatures” thing ain’t important. There’s this thing in story telling called Chekov’s Gun, which is basically, if you make people think something’s gonna happen, It’s gonna happen. So, Unless the devs care more about there NFT’s than they do their writing, That will most likely come into play at some point.
Extreme Heat you say? Like electric heat, transferred by a hand in our grabpack? Maybe I was right about the boss fight! We'll have to wait, though. Also, the Kissy Missy cutout seems to have a freezer behind the door, judging by the snowy environment.
We might be getting new commercials every new chapter for a new enemy type

Hearing that part about extreme temperatures made me come up with a great idea for a way that she could be defeated. I just immediately thought like Hansel and Gretel so like maybe the player will go down to the boiler room or something (all those pipes from the last trailer where her appearance is revealed look like they’d be in a boiler room) and then trick mommy long legs into getting inside before locking the door and quickly turning it on. The features we’ve currently seen could also work with that, the player could use the green glove that seems to send electric shocks towards areas to power them and use it to activate a boiler that appears to be shut off so mommy log legs would think you’ve just tried to hide in it so she’ll run in after you then you can get out and turn it on yeah

i think we fell asleep right when we opened her cage. After all poppy seeds are known to have sleepy effects so it wouldn't surprise me if this happened. And poppy maybe asks us to wake up during the beginning of chapter 2.
I know it's not going to happen, but it'd be a great crossover cameo if later in the game there was a hidden storage room full of Tattletails. And maybe Mama.

Taking a hint from the warning at the bottom of the screen next to Mommy Long Legs where were not supposed to subject her next to heat or cold I predict that either the pipes will contain steam so we can scare mommy long legs way. And since the lvl more than likely be in a Warehouse there may be a storage unit where they hold the meat to feed all the other monsters. More than likely will have to keep her in there and freeze her to death
