I always noticed that Mommy’s hands and the hands of the grabpack were similar in design and functions. Those thuds as she comes into focus were surprisingly loud; she must be a lot stronger than she looks.
I know that Huggy Plushie that she drags isn’t the one from the first game, but I wonder if once a toy “dies,” they revert back to their original form. Unless these monster forms are their original forms since the tapes do mention test subjects.
You could be on to something.
I'm pretty sure the toys don't revert back to their original form since multiple toys had their head chopped off or were dismembered. All the broken toys were just still and most likely dead. We also would've already seen them turn into something different in the first chapter when looking at all the "dead" toys. Instead of reforming themselves, they just kinda stayed dead.
I notice too, how the thuds were loud and I think she is pretty strong but will be stronger later on in chapter 2. Also I think when the toys die they don't go back to their toy form and just stay dead and I think the other toys or eating/killing the little ones.

I follow the "The living toys are made from the orphans idea. The company created Poppy as a living toy prototype from the one woman who wanted to make kids happy. This carried over into Poppy the toy who seems so far to be a bit more sane and benign. She wanted to play nice with others. From this success they thought to do the same with orphans thinking kids would want to play with other kids. Instead their more self centered and childish minds created psychopathic toys that didn't really understand empathy or morals. This is reflected in both how huggy clearly is messing with us in the first chapter and mommy longlegs is looking to play games with us in the second. They are only focused on their own amusement.

"Make me part of him" could relate to how she brings toys to life (if thats's what her goal is with the webs. She puts a little bit of her essence in each of them, so she in a way could control the toys like a hive mind, wanting to make our protagonist her next puppet

When I saw the message I had no idea what it meant and I like the theory SHB made in this video that Mommy will help the protagonist and wants to keep him forever as her playmate. And the little skeleton spider kinda look like the skeleton hand on the black tape in Chapter 1.
@@Hannah77550 i agree with you on the black tapes hand thing. think about it. one repeating theme in this game so far is "hands" each tape has a corisponding hand on it, there is a hand on the wall in the power room in chapter one, and now it shows up again here with the grabpack green hand and mommy long legs hands.

One thing that i’ve had on my mind since the trailer, Mommy Long Legs Says “A New Playmate! It’s Been So Long!” But Poppy says “Mommy Doesn’t Like Guests”

this is interesting to think about. think of it this way. if someone wants to join a game or something online but don't want to make an account they are entered as a guest. maybe she doesnt like "guests" as in those who dont want to stay and play forever.

I'm leaning towards the she's eating them theory more than the lifebringer theory, if you examined the merchandise shop over time you would get a bunch if screenshots of security footage, which would notably be after Huggy dissapears from the stage, first you see a bloody catbee toy on the stage, a couple days pass and then there's a blood trail and the catbee is gone, at the same time you can see a streachy hand stretching out if one of the machines
That cat bee was bloody, she was taking it to incubate it back to life.

Gotta say, I never thought about MLL breathing life into broken toys. While I believe its more like she's eating the toys caught in her web is most likely, that other idea sounds interesting given she is called Mommy Long Legs.

There is one thing everyone keeps saying that I find funny. Her name is Mommy Long Legs so she is based off of a Daddy Long Legs. Now daddy long legs are not spiders they are insects and have six legs not eight. Everyone keeps saying she is missing limbs but she may have two arms and four legs which would fit.
Atleast in my region of the us, daddy long legs are name for a spider.

I think that mechanical hand belongs to experiment 1006, which i dont believe is huggy. That's the hand we see on the tape talking about exp.1006. I think the "make me a part of him" is mommy referring to exp 1006. So excited for the new chapter and cant wait to see what's in store for us! love your theories and excited for future content.

I get the feeling a big part of Chapter 2’s objectives isn’t just gonna be our survival, but Poppy’s too. If Mommy Long Legs is really eating the toys she captures, then Poppy’s in just as much danger as we are. Her voice in the trailer is terrified, warning us about “Mama”. We’re gonna have to protect Poppy from Mommy Long Legs just as much as we protect ourselves.

Honestly, mommy longlegs’ voice lines give me MASSIVE spinel vibes. Like spinel from Steven universe. Because she wants to play and says it’s been so long since she’s had a new playmate and her voice sounds very similair!

Maybe she doesn’t want us to use her as are playmate but as food because every one of the toys needs food to survive and it’s been years wince they ate food so there devouring the small toys for food and when she sees us the crack in her voice seems weird because she wants to eat us it would explain all the bloody toys becuase she already ate what she needed from us. Maybe poppy wants to turn us into a doll and she states “we’re too valuable to lose” I think by finishing the levels she’s soon going to backstab us and turn us into a toy because we’re different and have a good heart to go and save people from an abandoned factory risking our lives. Maybe mommy long legs knows that and what’s to be a part of us because she thinks we’re valuable too. That’s what I think 😅
i saw a theory in the hispanic side of the fandom that suggest that the "spider hand" on the corner could be part of Exp. 1006... make a comparison with the hand show on the black tape and compared with the one in the picture.
Onone of the teaser images it says “do not expose to extreme temperatures” maybe we will have to battle mommy by using the electricy from the green hand (since electricity can be hot) it would burn her causing her to flee perhaps.

Sooo, at 6:02 when you show that "mechanical spider" my first thought went more into the direction of the movie "Coraline". To be exact the other mothers hand which chases Coraline! I personally see more the connection to that than the spider from Toy Story. Oh and I love your Videos! :D

I feel that another thing to consider the Mommy Long Leg’s initial size. In chapter 1, Huggy Wuggy already is taller than the player, and in the trailer, we see how big Mommy Long Legs is compared to Huggy. This will make it much easier for Mommy Long Legs to reach for us just from her initial size, and if this size of Mommy Long Legs is in the actual gameplay, then I feel that speed, strategy and distance would be the best option for the player in this new chapter if there ever is a scenario where the player has to escape Mommy Long Legs. The mechanical spider could be like Daddy Long Legs, and may be out of order, because if this toy is anything like a female arachnid, some such as the black widow, females will eat their male mates. So could this mechanical spider possibly be the proof of Mommy Long Legs using other toys for food? We would’t know yet, but these are some ideas I got during the video.
EDIT: also, if it is possible for Mommy Long Legs to give us one of her hands, could that be useful for some sort of chase scenario?
I really hope they change her talking animation and leave it as a static mouth, it would be much creepier and simply just work way better

Ok just a thought. If mommy is trapped behind the door with the bookshelf how did she hang the toys in front of the poppy door? My guess is someone else hung them as a lure to attract mommy over there and then somehow subdued her and trapped her behind the bookcase blocked door. That's why there are warnings. We see the web like trap she has toys on. The ones in front of the door are hung with a rope. It's just a theory but it makes sense to me. Can't wait to see the next chapter to know for sure!

My only gripe about this video is that this whole game could be another Meatly/ Kindly Beast/ Bendy scenario where the devs are just yoinking ideas from the fandom to implement them at the last second, with no real direction otherwise. I only bring this up because evidence has surfaced that the developers behind Poppy Playtime are WAY sketchier than we initially thought, with accusations like the idea of Poppy Playtime itself being a stolen and remixed version of another game (now cancelled) called "Venge", I believe. Another accusation I've heard (with proof) is that one of the developers knowingly made s*xually suggestive content aimed at minors (specifically Minecraft animations) and then some of THOSE animations weren't even entirely done by them alone. Again, heavily encourage you to look into the matter to make your own conclusions, but also please be cautious.
I have a theory each chapter will have a theme . the new toys in chapter 2 are an owl ,a flower ,a catapiller and a spider. the toys in chapter 1 are a robot, a dino, a cat, a cat bee, and two monsters. so poppy might be the kid . the monster toys might be made up friend like little kids have. A kids room will have toys like in chapter 1 . a kids back yard might have flowers ,owls ,bugs ,and spider. it's the twisted home of poppy.
i too posses entomophobia (fear of bugs). Butterflys and caterpillars are the biggest fears of mine. Its the eyes man, those multisected eyes.
