My initial thoughts about Kissy Missy is that she’s friendly, I find it curious that, unlike Huggy, she seems like she doesn’t properly control her body, she also looked worried for our character.

Maybe she’s still sane, and didn’t turn bad like Mommy, so she worries that someone else fell to this trap, and she hasn’t gotten used to her new body despite being in it for so long, but she still does her best to help and not get in the way
Ooor, she’s working for someone else, and that person told her to help us out and leave us unharmed, and she struggling to pull the lever could be that she ain’t used to doing tasks like those, let alone letting such an easy prey go like that
Maybe she believes that he isn't a worker or is not a threat
@@evelynnjones5442 I read somewhere that Huggy was programmed as a security system but Kissy was designed to be kind and helpful to children, maybe she thought we were children but that second last glance gives me a hint that she might be a bit conscious about the real situation.
I feel like she’ll turn on us because we did kill her cannonical love interest
“She seems kinda vulnerable” really got me thinking! It looks like Poppy is a porcelain doll just based on appearance, and she is the smallest creature in game. A tiny, porcelain doll wandering around a huge factory with larger and more active toys? Someone could have placed Poppy in that case to protect her from the factory and it’s inhabitants.
That doesn’t account for why there were so many frantic written warnings to keep Poppy enclosed though. I’d guess she has an incredibly dangerous ability despite her fragile form that freaked people out.
I like her and I want her to be a good guy, but narratively I don’t think it’s likely she’ll turn out to be our friend unfortunately:/ here’s hoping to being proven wrong!

With respect, I must disagree with you about Poppy being an antagonist in this game. I think those writings that warn not to go near her was more for HER “safety”, and not the player’s wellbeing. I think they were written, and in that way as well, for the sole purpose of seeing to it that no one would free Poppy. Presumably, this was done by the scientists who worked in the innovation wing as a way to lock the secret of Poppy being alive with a mind of her own away so no other toy company would ever discover the secret and put Playtime Co. out forever, as I believe that after Playtime Co. first closed, anyone who remained from the company who wanted to reorganize and reopen. Or, she could have been locked away in that case by a malicious being to keep Poppy from ever destroying the monsters within the factory. Additionally, if you play through/ watch through until the end of the chapter, Poppy makes it clear that she wants to destroy the monsters that remain, and to do so, she needs the player’s help. So I do not believe Poppy herself to be malicious. But that is just my opinion.
They clearly wanted to protect the Factory's denizens from HER.
A part of me wonders if she's unintentionally evil. Like maybe she's good but what if she expels a pheromone or something that makes the toys go phsyco.
My first thoughts about Kissy is that she wanted revenge at first (whether it was being turned into a toy, trapped, or something else that hasn’t been theorized) but slowly realized that she did not need to take her anger out on innocent people. She wants to help people so that they don’t have her same fate. That is why I think she helped our character.
or she might be luring you or using you to get her revenge on the people her harmed her. not harming innocent people, yet instead the ones who experimented on her.
or she wanted her soul to be free like huggy's soul

The type of music they played with Kiss makes me think she's an ally. The music went from sinister when we thought it was Huggy, but to a very gentle, soft and innocent melody. Not to mention her eyes have something behind them, unlike Huggy and Mommy. She has thoughts and expresses curiosity about her surroundings.
Jack has voice acted in quite a few indie games. It's quite heart warming to see
and I bet he'll talk about it when he plays chapter 2 soon.

Theory: The "games" in the Game Station are tests put by the scientists to see who are the best candidates (out of the children) to do experiments on...and possibly turn into things like Huggy Wuggy?
I agree with this 100%. Also I'm wondering if the founder started his experiments with the Poppy flowers in order to bring back his dead relative. Maybe it was his kid or niece/nephew. If the kid was a girl, maybe Poppy is the revived form of the child?

I feel like the first Poppy doll, the one that was trapped inside the case was Elliot Ludwig's own daughter. Like she became the first successful Poppy doll and Ludwig was too attached to her, thus trapping her inside the case (as she is also made of porcelain). The tape about Ludwig also says something about his family falling apart but him pushing through it and making Playtime Co. a successful company anyway, almost as if it fell apart because he sacrificed his own child to be tested on to become a toy, sacrificing them for the benefit of the company.
EDIT: Also, the fact that Elliot Ludwig's office is so close to Poppy's case seems to suggest that he was close to her, in a way.

I like the aesthetic of spiders, but not spiders themselves. At first I was a bit disappointed they didn’t make Mommy Long Legs look more like a spider. But the design has grown on me. I’m also excited to see what they do with Poppy, Kissy Missy and the other characters that haven’t been show yet.
I think having her be more spider like would’ve made sense but this is the second time they have a good concept for a monster executed badly
@@aruce9 I don’t think it was executed badly, it was just a nitpick.
Maybe there’s a transformation or it’s supposed to be a reference to Mommy’s limbs being elastic and the hold on you she has. It’s probably not a real spider web but the slow grip like a spider web being reflected in the chapter as Mommy tries to make you stay longer. The game area is the web she’s attempting to trap you in.
Kids are scared of spiders, so it wouldn’t make sense.

When Kissy comes out and helps the player open the gate, I noticed something.
In the tape from the first chapter when talking about the experiment that everyone deemed to be Huggy Wuggy, the person recording said "Hand eye coordination and cooperation are within his skillset," and this is exactly what we see here from Kissy Missy 😳
She sees we need to open the gate, she reaches and articulates her hand to grab the lever and pull it down and then leaves us be 🤔😮
I thought it was an interesting detail anyways.

I loved the music change when they introduced Kissy Missy! Such a lovely way to introduce a character, it was so charming!
Edit: After watching that scene again I noticed the slightly darker turn in the music when Kissy looked back at the player before leaving. How... fun.

Im sad to see the creators of Poppy Playtime aren’t the best people- because the team of the game have talent in absolute spades. These people who work on this game, the voice actors, the modelers, artists, animators, they are all insanely talented! The animation is so smooth, the dynamic voice actings so good, and the whole team really do such a amazing job with the entire environment. They also work insanely fast, considering the changes from just 2 months ago from the trailer to now, since its almost completely different in so many areas! Im honestly separating the heads of the company with the team behind the game, because these people are so talented, and I’d rather support the team than the heads of the company

They actually made an apology for it. They said that they actually didn't mean to paywall the lore, they meant it as an early access for people who are curious enough to pay for it. For example, they revealed that Mommy Long Legs is the villain for Chapter 2 in the NFT, and they ended up making a reveal trailer.

Kissy Missy seems more sympathetic, like she has a more human and less of a monster styled kind of thing. Maybe she was a kind and sympathetic person when she was a person.
There is also the fact that she doesn’t look as in control of her body as Huggy does. This makes me think that there could be more then one being fighting for control, or, they just have a lack of control over the body due to it being unstable or something. There is also the suggestion that she could have her body being controlled by strings, it did say that the Huggys from the wack-a-mole game that suggests that the toys can be controlled there is also the factor that she looks worried, if she was trying to help us she might’ve had a different look rather than sympathy or pity. Maybe I’m over analyzing this but who knows-?
So much theorizing. I, personally, make my own head cannons on things like this biased on theories and my own thoughts as well as more realistic personality aspects. Like, sympathy, or maybe it’s out of concern.

My immediate thought when I hear "family tragedy" is the founder had a daughter who died named poppy, and the poppy doll was the first successful result in bringing her back through poppy magic or whatever (in the note) so after that the founder made the poppy line of dolls maybe using whatever magic he used to "bring his daughter back" but hey, that's just a ga-

I like how Kissy Missy actually helped, rather than attacked. Goes to show that not all the toys are bloodthirsty. I know how there are theories relating to why the toys act in such a violent way towards adults specifically, but Kissy Missy still seems to have that warmth and love in her heart, no matter the person :)
Just realized something. In the first trailer, in the musical memory room, that flower that was on the founders desk was used as a placeholder for Bunzo. They still kept the model around though.
I forgot about that yeah, also reminds me of how pugapillar looked like a weird sheet ghost with legs in the first trailer too. I gotta rewatch that

I can’t wait for you to look more closely at the chapter because, from what I’ve seen, it’s packed with lore and other creepy elements like those cutouts (some have creepy messages when you press the button enough times).
The voice actress for Mommy is so good; she goes from that motherly/childish tone to more serious/evil in less than a second.

Judging by the schematics, I imagine Ludwig lost a family member such as his wife or children and was trying to revive them like with the rats. Bringing them back to life as toys that could live on forever.

I find it fascinating how we both solved the same puzzles differently.
Like I built boxes to get up to places rather than swinging or moving Bron and there are a few others too that we solved differently.
Which is actually good because in real life puzzles like this WOULD have more than one solution and most games limit players to finding that ONE solution but in PP different people can solve puzzles in their own unique way.
Poppy is so cute! But there’s a part of me that doesn’t trust her yet, I feel like the game can’t be this simple when it comes to plot right? Unless it is, which in that case, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it at all- I really appreciate this game overall so far :))

I’ve decided in my mind that Kissy Missy is friendly simply because of the fact that poppy is already playing that role, like they wouldn’t have two characters trying to gaslight you when the toys all seem to have a similar goal whatever it is. someone’s gotta deviate from the toy cult lol I think Kissy Missy will end up being that exception

I love Mommy's movements, they really show off her emotion even when you can't see them

One thing I always love about Enchanted Mob is their animation, despite the..questionable content. Shame about that, but when they put their mind to it its hard to hate. Again, ignoring the concerning controversy, gotta give credit where it's due, the animators/modelers are just doing their job and they did it extremely well. I've heard you can like the art, but not the artist.

Poppy may be the daughter of Elliot Ludwig-! In his office all the drawings of the toys are the originals that his daughter drew: which where later turned into the toys-! Also they key for his office is a POPPY too. And it seems that there is alot of focus on his daughter in the chapter. The reason why Bunzo bunny says June 28th for the birthday is because it may be the daughters birthday- and we now know Stella was not poppy as she was alive after the creation of mommy long legs.

Despite Mob Game’s controversy, they sure made a really terrifying horror game, and it’s not too glitchy, good job for them.

My guess is that Huggy/Kissy are some sort of role model for the mini Huggies in Whack-a-Wuggy and then when Huggy became a security guard (like we see in Chapter One protecting the factory) he was separated from them. I think they may have been made of children while Huggy and Kissy were adults, so they sort of viewed Huggy and Kissy as their parents. Hence, Huggy Wuggy and his minis become ruthless towards the player and others after losing each other.
Huggy briefly gives the player a key in chapter one. He may be helping the player, but I like to think of it as getting his prey lost and stalking it before he feasts.
But Kissy remains with the mini Huggies until Mommy Long Legs presumably kills them. I think she helped the player because of her grief for Huggy and their minis, and maybe because she detected a trace of the minis on the player and it reminded her of her now-lost children. My theory is that she dropped her arm in a sort of shock when she ‘detected’ something of Huggy on the player as well and looked back trying to decide what to do to them with that information.
It’s very far-fetched, but to me it makes sense.
The animation and details are great here! Stuff like the poorly wiped screens for the rhythm game makes me feel like the devs really care about the ambiance.
maybe not the devs, ok maybe directors, given the whole confusing controversy surrounding this game. but you can still tell someone cares about this game and whoever that is, i respect them xd

Would love to see kissy missy to be the total antithesis of all the other. Having her be the good force against the bad force (probably the prototype) having a war so to speak between good and evil.

I just wanna say that I really like the scene where you meet Kissy Missy she tilts her head at you in curiosity, and before she leaves she turn back at you almost as if she had seen you somewhere before like the person used to make Kissy is still in there somewhere.
I feel like Kissy and Huggy will at some point fight one another, since Kissy seems to have some sort of compassion for the player, and I very much doubt Huggy is gone for good.
If I had a nickel everytime jacksepticeye is in an indie game I'd have two nickels, which isn't alot but it's weird that it happened twice.

I love the tales and commercial for mommy long legs, it’s like a real commercial for a toy it’s helping build this world we’re in here.
Ok, here are my thoughts and infos:
1) In one of the tapes, it confirms that huggy is named experiment 1700 or something like that, so experiment 1006 is another experiment.
2) In one of the death screens, one says " the prototype ! He is here to save us !" Obviously, each of every death screen is telling US to keep on going, to motivate us. So perhaps, we ARE indeed experiment 1006 ! Plus, the youtooz figure confirms that we are playing as a "dummy" of some kind, and one of the tapes says that 1006 is very intelligent, like a human. So we, 1006, were a human once, working at the factory, making us able to know everything about the factory. (you'll understand better what i meant by all of this once you listened to the tape). Or 1006 is just the skeletic creepy hand thing.
3) Since we were working at the factory, on one of the document, it explains why mommy is so agressive towards us. The document says that mommy is more agressive towards employees than children.
4) When mommy is getting shredded by the machine, even if she got free by detaching her arm, if she wouldn't have put her foot on the machine, she could have still been alive ! (man, she had a 10 iq moment lol)
You saw it wrong. THe CLAW that grabbed Mommy was a completely different thing; it was the prototype. While dying she even screams, "He'll make me part of him!"
She did not detach her arm, the claw was something completely different. Also, on the monitors talking about 1006, the prototype, what is showcased on the screen? A CLAW
Also, Mommy seemed to have deliberately recognized us as an old worker. If there were so many workers, why would she single us out, saying "You worked here. So if anyone deserves to die alone, it's you". Our character probably was one of the people working on expirements back in the day. This would explain why Huggy REALLY wants to kill us; and why Mommy would single us out--despite there being hundreds of workers.

I actually like spiders, probably since they're not actually a bug or insect. But I'd probably lose my liking if I lived in Australia
Also, Poppy is way more kinder than I expected. I thought she would be a cute looking character who turns out to be a manipulative, evil demon spawn
