Martinez's ability to shift the ball around under pressure is so underrated, first time hearing any football channels cover it
Him and Luke Shaw is responsible for rashford overachieving last season for sure.

Antony and AWB on the right were good at pulling the defence across, getting the ball to a CM who could then get the ball to Rashford in space and on the front foot. too often this season he's getting the ball later than he'd like or getting bad passes from our CMs (except for Mount actually, Mount always finds him)

to be honest that team needs aggressive players, I don’t think Todibo is good overall. Take a look at Scalvini from Atalanta, massively built, technical, very aggressive and has a leadership flair. No more guesswork and nomore Lindelof like players who are soft. Also take a look at Le Normand from Real Sociedad, recently earned a place in the Spanish national team, very aggressive, calm and puts his life on the line for the team. If you get time look at Zubimendi a CDM at Sociedad as well, technical, calm, aggressive and a valuable ball winner. The problem I see is people always go with the names they have heard around ignoring the fact that there is so much talent available. Man U should focus on players with a leadership trait when scouting
The scouting & recruitment has really been poor I really hope Paul Mitchel & hopefully a new CEO can do some smart business in the coming years.
In terms of CB options Medina from Lens is pretty solid
Tbh 1 cb should he aggressive that is Martinez and Todibo can be a ball progressor and with pace to recover..and he has technical ability on the ball

Keeping the 'Terrible Twins' Maguire & Lindelof in the squad is unacceptable when it's best to sell them for £30M each in January & replace them with Todibo & Lacroix both 23 6ft3 for £30M each can complement Varane, Martinez & Shaw game.

Martinez has the awareness and technical ability that his physicality is not a problem. Aggression is key.

I think we would probably go after goncalo inacio in Jan cause we don't have another left footed CB and maybe in June we would buy todibo
Ignacio would be a great fit but if not him then definitely Medina from Lens or Parirsi from Empoli

Not necessarily left footed but just someone who can cover for Lisandro in that build up role
When Shaw and Lisandro are gone, no one else in the backline can do it quite as good
If we are Serious about Winning Trophies & being the Best then Sell 'The Terrible Twins', Maguire & Lindelof for £30M each & replaced them with Jean Clair Todibo & Maxence Lacroix both 23 6ft3" for 30M each & Jarrad Branthwaite 21 6ft5" to complement Varane, Martinez & Shaw game. That would be Excellent Business!

Maguire ‘incredible’? He got taken for 6 goals in two games. Hes playing well for a 3/4th choice cb. We can’t rewrite history,he’s still not good enough for our style moving forward or top teams. As a 3/4 choice Maguire is great but let’s not talk about him being excellent,there’s a reason he was 5th choice last season
Am starting to doubt a lot of these football reports not being accurate ,we were told Sofyan is highly press resistant,it seems a lot of the channels have backed down on the original analysis that were made before he joined United

He's not that special. Maybe solid at best, but we can do better. He's a good squad option tho
Everyone keeps focusing on the right centre back but I think getting both left and right and prioritising a younger promising left center back would be the better thing. Let's get Todibo, by all means, but with ten Hag being particular about who plays on the left side will be left relying on our only good left back to play at center back again if Martinez is out again and we already need to be looking for the next big thing as an understudy and eventual replacement for Martinez because lefty centerbacks are already a rare specimen and even fewer are actually good

We should sign some napoli players, the kind of season they are having with a new coach coming in soon. Many players would look to leave.
I watched his last two games for nice and his defensive displays been impressive especially in their game on friday.he,s good on the ball but thats not enough.l,d rather we sign Anderson who,s also good on the ball while being very good defensively as a stopgap if we,re really desperate than go for another above average signing.
Vanderson is a RB though, ideally, get them both.

Before buying anyone, please sell 1st. Our dressing room atmosphere is already bad added couple more its gonna make it worse. If we cant sell maguire or varane if eth dont want to use them, then our priority shoud be a left footed CB replacing martinez. How sure are we martinez going to be back to his old form after such big injurie. Hes not world class, hes done great job for us but i have doubts hes going to be sharp and consistent after his injuries. If only if we can sell maguire or varane then only we can buy new 1st e CB.
