- I finally completed the CB500 race bike build just a handful of days before my first race outing on the bike.

Overall this bike cost me just under £2000 including buying the original bike for £700. I kept costs low by buying most things used (used items marked with a *)

where did you find the list of components that needed to be lock wired?
It was in the Thundersport 500 regulations - each club should mention in their regulations for each class what needs to be lock wired but usually it's a minimum of;
Oil filter
Oil sump plug
Oil filler plug
