      Thanks, Curtis! If I had fallen at least it would of been good for the vlog LOL. It was all about the light, needed what sun was left;)

    My friend and I are going over to Tahoe this month. Thanks for giving us a sneak peak. Great camera btw.

    Very peaceful Ray. Looked and sounded great. When you're not helping in the podcast world you're helping some dude in a swing haha. Cheers.

      Ha, read the comment below this one where I talk more about that dude. It was a hairy situation, glad it worked out and it was not expected but wow, I was stoked cause that made for good vlog content lol. Here is the guy stranded and asking for help and my first reaction after I realized he was stuck and not just some weirdo, was to mount my cam in a spot so that I could helpfully capture the whole thing! 😂

    Them Sony sensors though!

      Love it. Testing the a6400 now. Same sensor but a7III processor means longer run times before overheat which is virtually eliminated. Image seems to be the same as well as low light

    I hate vlogs, but I really liked this one. You're daughter is adorable. Also, what LUTs are you using for slog2?

    • @RayOrtega
      @RayOrtega  Před 4 lety

      Thanks, Eric! I don't typically use a LUT. I have made some of my own and tried others but I find that I end up doing so much tweaking that I just go ahead and color grade with basic tools (curves, etc) on my own. However, when I do use something that is available elsewhere, I list it in the description so any video you see of mine that you are curious about, be it gear or post production, always take a look at the description where I try to outline what I did...mostly so I can remember LOL.

    Are you sure that guy wasn't an escaped convict? The jumpsuit is kinda suspicious.

      Where does one go to buy a red jumpsuit for casual wear?
      Ha!

    All of a sudden out of no where a dude with bright red jumpsuit swinging/stuck on a swing, who looks like someone from a NASA science lab! 🤣😂😂🤣😆
    Your daughter always finds a higher peak. She wants to go up up up 🌈
    Well nice modification with S Log. The default one feels like a little bit flat.

    • @RayOrtega
      @RayOrtega  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks. The dude in the jumpsuit was a real trip. He was all about the vibes. But he made a bad decision getting on the swing. I didn't do a good job of showing it but the only way to get back was the rock I was on. Under him was a 30 foot drop onto jagged rocks. It was pretty hairy but his girlfriend was the real hero. She was so tiny that she leaped onto that branch and helped grab him but I was pretty sure it was going to snap and it was going to get really ugly. Fortunately, all good.

    So, a6400 is better than a6500?

    • @RayOrtega
      @RayOrtega  Před 5 lety

      I'll be having a review coming out that will address this question but I'd say only in terms of features but not quality. In other words, having things like a flip-screen, time-lapse, long record times etc., are a nice addition but the video that comes out of both will look the same. Maybe the biggest difference is IBIS. If you need internal stabilization because you want to use non OSS lenses, then the 6500 would be the choice. Otherwise I'd go with the 6400.
