Great lookin bike. And a great set of mods too, all function no flash (other than the graphics kit I suppose but considering it only comes in 2 colors I 100% think a graphics kit is a great way of customizing a bike like these) A far change from all the flashy annodized bits everyone is sticking to this thing on the forums. Which to each his own but I like seeing people actually adding more function and fine tuning it to do what they want it to do. Awesome video.
If you mean the fork stanchion covers, they don't fit there. I'm pretty sure. There were other ones that had cut-outs for the brake and speedo cables that I used.
I got the brake pads and brake line from spiegler brakes website. I believe sportbike track and gear has it as well. You can customize the colors on the line. I am also using motul rbf660 fluid. The brake line for the sm/ds are the same on all bikes after like 2009. I do not recommend EBC pads.
@@nathanbaeyens2856 Great video. Do you have the Spiegler part #s you used for both the line and the pads? Or, if you customized it, do you mind sharing the specs you used?
im 5'7 with a 27 inch inseam I just bought one. I can tippy toe on it stock. I sat on a XT250 before deciding what I wanted, and the XT is only 2 inches lower and I had most of both feet down, which is obviously more then enough. So once I get myself a seat concepts low seat for the KLX im sure ill be more then happy with her. My best recommendation is sit on it for yourself, its no where near as big as some other sumo bikes. I used to have a DRZ and it was waaay too tall for me, and the extra weight and width didnt help it either. But the KLX feels nice and manageable even for a n00b rider like me.
I should also mention I am a bit of heavier guy, so the suspension does sag when I sit on it more then a lightwieght rider would obviously. But the KLX does have preload adjustment on the suspension so that could help. And of course other than a seat you can always get a lowering link that will sit her down an inch or so. Just make sure whatever you do to the rear you also do to the front so you dont overly compromise handling.
Dual sports and sumos are the tallest bikes there's no way you won't fit on it they're basically built for us 😉 also just over 6'3(191cm) and 198lbs(90kg) and I've fit on bikes waay smaller and significantly shorter than that . Hop on one and you'll feel right at home
How many miles did you end up getting out of those Conti Attack SM on this bike? I’m guessing they last a little longer on a smaller displacement, light bike like the KLX relative to something like a KTM 696?
Gearing change was great for my purposes. Idk the brand. It's very difficult to find a small enough rear sprocket for this bike. I would have went smaller if I could.
@@nathanbaeyens2856 I put 4200 miles on mine last year, running the same tires, have a graphics kit as well with fuel controller/pipe. Plan to hit the cart track as well. Thanks for the reply
350 for the pipe, 250 for the tuner. That's basically all you need for max power. Everything else was mostly ergonomics or cosmetics, aside from the brakes (that don't really need upgrading) all in, not including consumables like tires, maybe 1k.
I already did. It's on my channel, and that was when the bike was nearly stock. Of course that's only an indicated speed, but it got there. It's a lot easier to get there with the mods I have now.
@@walterrides5324 They do not need warmers. The On-off switch for them is about 60-70 degrees F, so as long as you aren't riding in the dead of winter, they'll be fine without warmers. However, they are better with warmers, marginally. I personally wouldn't bother, unless you have all the equipment and are trying to set a personal best lap. I usually ride to the track and just run what I brung.
Wow, your bike looks amazing!
I love that wrap, looks really good.
Wrap lol
It’s also the best I own or ever have. Might have something to do with it being my first. You know how much you love those firsts.
Nice video good to see you upload again
Love the new graphics 👌
Man I'm sorry you got rear ended. At least youre ok. Sick build man.
Sick bike. Looking to pick up my first one soon and I’ve been eyeballing the KLX300’s at my local dealer
get it there so nice
Thank you for sharing and stay safe Sir!
Good stuff man, I'm an old road racer, that thing would be a hoot on the track. BTW, you could do voiceovers for Tom Cruise.
Love the blue ! I had to get the 23sm green because that's all that was in stock around me
You can always paint it right?

Sweet . Nicely done .
Great job!
For my needs, I would need a bigger gas tank for more distant traveling. IMS 3.2 gal. maybe.
Could you do a video on the sprocket changes? How they affected the bike.?
Very pretty.
Super moto my love!)
so sick !! do you have link for battery ?
Where did you get the delrin foot pegs? i have some for my drz, but unable to find them for the klx
I put 6k on my dual sport. Glad to see I'm not alone in the high mileage club lol
Lol That's high mileage???
Mine has 21k 😂
maybe in half a season
Could you tell where to get the 15 tooth front sprocket I can't find one for this bike??
Great little bike. Despite them being made in Thailand, they are not available here. Neat dash. Bike sounds good. I have KTM 390 Duke.
Funny you mention that. The Suzuki dealer I went to told me that these bikes were made for Kawasaki in Thailand.
What brand and model of Lithium battery did you get?
Love the graphics
Where you got your set of sprockets from if you don’t mind me asking
The first extra piece you showed were meant for your plastic fork covers

Do you have a link to the exhaust system I can’t seem to find it
I want one but a new one in CA cost 8000
And they’re selling like hotcakes !
2000 over
Ready to let it go go for the Husky? Lmk
What footpegs are you running? I have only found IMS for this bike. Thanks!

Probably about the same as any other tire that's basically slick. Bad.
