Absolute Camera. Adjust camera zoom to how you like it. I like to bring it closer over the shoulder for abit more immersion
Instant sign casting for controller. If you prefer playing on controller, this mod is a must have. No more radial menu!
Friendly HUD. Like playing with a clean hud and no mini map, but still want to occasionally check? Can set it so minimap and other info appears only when you activate witcher senses

Man I have all of these mods and a few more and it looks and plays beautiful on my PC. I really want to apply them to the steam deck too but I think the performance is gonna take a huge hit
Have you tried adding any mods to your steam deck yet for this game in particular?
@@sirtimatbob yup. I transferred my entire modded game directory and the mods.settings file to my steam deck using warpinator and it runs at a locked 40fps on a mix of medium and high settings. I did have to use a vram and swap file fix though to improve performance. Cryobyte33 has a great tutorial on his channel on how to do this, it’s really simple and has improved performance on most of my games

@@sirtimatbob yeah no problem. One thing I forgot to mention is the game might have excessive load times or not load at all if you have too many texture and lighting mods. I had to remove the true fires mod and some 4K textures and character model mods (HD reworks performs just fine) to get the game to load
I have the vast majority of these, they are truly game changers, even the little things like the hay bales mod. Holding back on some of the larger graphical ones to save on performance.
Which ones would you say are the larger graphical ones? Just asking to know which ones to look out for.

I just remembered. I highly recommend adding optional quest arc with Djikstra and Roach, where Djikstra honors his word and Temeria will be a state without bloodshed between Djikstra, Geralt and Roach.

The hood & cloak mod looks so good it should be added into the Witcher 3 base game. I hope PlayStation starts leaning toward all weapon & armor pieces being shown on your person. Fantastic video man, made me want to play the game again.

i really had only couple of things i disliked. Textures resolution, wind physics, draw distance, clipping(sometimes it is too noticeable and it breaks the immersion a bit), better and more of the sword bonuses. Those were the biggest remarks i had. In addition to that, i added more armors just to make it more diverse. But mostly game is amazing, and masterfully done, i just added some mods to make it more interesting to replay, like more perk slots, rest of it is mostly graphical enhancements. I am using only Halk texture and reshade that i like, nothing else.

Feels like ages we've been waiting for the official update. Pretty much the only thing gamers want for Xmas is this free update. We're aren't bothered about our new underpants and lynx/Axe shower gel.
I liked the video. Personally I'm waiting for the official remastered version, but if it doesn't arrive before the end of the year 2023 as promised I will download all the mods and complete the story again from scratch with most of the mods you recommend. Thank you very much

Hello LastKnownMeal amazing video with great and easy explanation I have never had mods before but i will try them, 1 thing there are also mods that make the combat harder and more challenging could you make a video about the best combination of those mods?
Thanks for watching. Well if you want to start the game from scratch you have Witcher 3 Enhanced Edition mod which changes a lot in the game and makes it more rewarding
You can try out a mod called Redux if I recall correctly. It was an overall rework of difficulties and made the game more challenging and realistic.

IMO you should mod and play the game , because it offers more veriety and modding is really fun if you understand it once 👍

regarding the cloak and hood mod, when I go to my files and into witcher, there is no bin folder so how would I install the mod? i think the reason why its not there is because I bought witcher 3 next gen on epic games instead of steam :/

Had a look at it during this vid when installing - It gave me a warning after the manual install button that it required another 2 mods to work. I just skipped it cause I cba lmfao
My mods after I download them don't have the folder icon. They show like a notepad or something. Am I installing them wrong or do I need another program?
For install mod just create a folder mods and paste the archivies into?
Can you easily install Nexus mods with Vortex?
If I am using the HD Reworked Project by Halkhogan PL, why would I need to use other mods to improve the hay stacks, water, etc. Did he not cover all of those improvements in his mod?

Thanks for watching! Only mods which drop a few frames is the first and second mod, everything else is light on resources. I tested this on Nvidia 1060 and it was running great. But for reshade in general I recommend at least Nvidia 1070 or equivalent. Witcher is an old game after all haha

@@Danny.TheDog because Halk is increasing texture resolution, thats the only thing you should run on ultra. Rest of it you can reduce to high to get more frames. Even RX 580 8gb could run witcher 3 with 60 fps with Halk textures.
So some other youtuber told in his video to roll back to 1.31, but the video was like 2 yo. Is this still an issue? I've already installed the enhanced edition, and what a hassle it was.

That torch fire give more light than Sun itself ;D It should be darker and more spreaded cause reminds mi overblowed ligth effects from Witcher 2. More shadow mod must be really unoptimized cause give pretty big lags. Anyway, that's the reason why I do not use any mods - they're but mostly overdone and unoptimized.
Draw distance mod doesnt work Ive done everything for it. Followed all install instructions and it just doesnt work!

This is Legendary Viper Armor, you have to craft it if you were referring to that, color is just dye you buy
what gpu do u have and how many fps do you get with all these mods?
This is running on 3070Ti but it was also on 1070. FPS is not a big problem here, only first texture and reshade mod make you lose a few frames, others is light.
What is the performance hit when all of these mods are on? I'm hestitating between modding classic Witcher3 and going for a next-gen update due to it having performance hit.
Next gen has a bigger impact than these mods, only reshade and texture from halk hogan take a few frames but that's about it

Anyone try this on patch 4.04? I’m assuming I should go back to v1.32 based on comments I’ve read noting compatibility issues. Plus these mods alone blow the latest update out of the water.
Most of these mods have next gen version, I have a different video which is specifically for next gen, use this video if you are modding classic or well original version of the witcher

the next gen game will be another beast entirely. Also, it's made with a much more sophisticated engine, so whatever mods u can apply to witcher 3 will pale in comparison to the next game's graphics.

Should be very similar, CDProjekt hired him and he worked on the patch, so I imagine he ported what he has done already and added or refined it even more.
download 19 , the cloak , when you are in the input file you control v paste the input but you never show where you got that input line. :D

Most if not all mods will be broken when update comes out, unless mod authors update them, which most will but they won't be usable straight on update release

No mods will bring back the original E3 2014 gameplay , water render was downgraded no ripples , the combat system was downgraded, the fog in swap area was removed and sun ray was removed that reflect on water . They downgraded the assets as well …. The werewolf design was changed , no transformation from skinny to more muscular one. Moon light was removed . LKM please do the 2014 E3 gameplay comparison and vanilla version. Vanilla movement system feels like you playing Zelda game . Hopefully we get it back with next gen update…If you see 2014 E3 35 min gameplay -Downwarren will see all the details that downgraded…thanks

Can the cloak mod work on 1.32? I can't get it, breaks everything
Oh yeah, I am using it on 1.32 as well, just make sure to copy the thing untill the end like to bind the actual key, if it doesn't then just delete the mod and try again. It definitely has bugs but for me it didn't break the game, although, if you have an error code when the game starts look at what gives you an error, might be another mod.
Immersive HUD? I would think that's the first on anyone's list.
How stable is your game with so many mods on it simultaneously?
Witcher is extremely stable with these mods, I rarely crash

Not sure why, but I can’t get meadows to work. It’s the steam version 1.32. Tried numerous times and just no luck.
Hmm, what does it say when you put it? Try using Script merger (find guide on yt) or download one by one mod or meadows first to see where it conflicts with other mods maybe

Good video, I guess now I have to install Witcher 3 again. But I still waiting for next-gen update. CDPR nowadays are really slow. Like just look at Techland with Dead Light 2, it's constantly updated, guess it's why they are now number one in Poland. They lied less and delivered more and it's make me sad. :(
When it comes to events and updates yeah Techland has been killing it with constant stream of content, some good some bad, but still, it helps a lot

It works for, really follow the tutorial properly. Best for you to delete the game and install it again and then watch the tutorial and follow step by step.

Super Turbo Lighting is dated, man, Immersive Lighting with Project Resonance reshade is de way.

Next gen is for all platforms. its ludacris to not include next gen upgrade for PC, especially after CP backlash, and all those delays.

Depends on your gpu, I lose around 10-15 and I rant it before with 1070 without issues

What do you need help with, when you are on the mod website, go to files tab and download only one out 4 options you have, so choose which style you like. Plus on the mod page under installation you have full instructions. Be sure to also add Compatibility Patch mod. But just follow what the mod page says under instructions.

Did you do everything like I showed it? Check the settings, see if you have it in controls or well key bindings

Reshade makes my game to not start wonder why tho
Does it just refuse to start or do you get an error? My advice is remove reshade start see if it works then if it works, try putting reshade again

The next gen patch is garbage, I'm rolling back to 1.32 and installing these mods. It looks much better and runs better. RT is poorly implemented and not worth it.
