    If you think you can't get sharp video of your Sony a6000 then I am here to show you that you actually can get tack sharp footage. Make sure to check how I do it to get the sharpest shots possible out of this camera. I start off with some B-Rolls to show you what is possible, then I tell you about the camera settings I use, further what impact a lens does to the video and very importantly - how to edit the video to make it sharp and finally, what are my export settings for CZcams not to lose the quality.
    TIMELINE:
    0:00 - B-ROLL
    0:24 - AGENDA
    1:17 - ANOTHER B-ROLL
    1:36 - CAMERA SETTINGS
    3:38 - LENSES
    5:22 - STABILIZATION
    5:50 - EDITING
    7:38 - EXPORT SETTINGS
    9:38 - FINAL WORDS
    If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I am happy to answer every single questions of yours. And of course - if you would like to see more videos from me in future, feel free to subscribe. Thanks a lot for your support.

    Nice advices (with good explanation of why) about concrete tricks no one else mentions in other videos, such as export format, creative mode, and postprocessing corrections. That's the real value of this video. In 10 minutes covered more than some other half an hour videos...

    Every time I'm tempted to upgrade my camera or get a new lens, I check out youtubers creating their work using the same gears I have. Like you said, there are definitely better cameras and lenses out there. But knowing how to fully utilize what we already have is more important. I've been a hobbyist in photography. Now I want to get to know videography. I have to say the work needed to create a nice video is much more than a picture...... I have a lot to learn......
    Great job btw!

    • @TomsJurjaks
      @TomsJurjaks  Před 3 lety +5

      Hey Tiffany and thank you so much for your very kind words. It honestly means a lot reading such message 🙏 You very well get the point. The idea behind my videos is to show that a budget should not be the reason to not do photography/videography. Yes, it is expensive hobby, but you still can have lots of fun and create very good content. Im glad you catch my drift :)
      And yes, videography is 10x harder/time consuming than photography in almost every aspect (capturing, editing, exporting), yet still I hope you will have fun in your learning process (as it should be) and good luck!

    Thanks man, like all the comments below, I’ve had the a6000 for a few years and know I haven’t been getting the most out of it, little tips and tricks like exporting in 4k and checking boxes assures me that this camera is capable of producing high quality video like yours, thanks! Just bought the sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and excited to try it out! Torn whether to get a couple of f1.8s too but for an all round multi purpose versatile lens, the quality seems amazing and more practical for what I’ll be using it for, your video on it helped massively with the decision 😁

      Ryan, huge thanks for your nice comment and kind words. Im so happy you got a nice set. Sigma 18-50 is brilliant lens. Their f1.4 prime lens lineup is mind blowing. I have the Sigma 16mm f1.4 but im keen on getting the 30mm f1.4 and 56mm f1.4. I fell in love with those after Sigma sent them to me to try them out. Putting it out there just for your inspiration lol - don't go crazy buying every lens in the market haha. Cheers buddy!

    I scanned the comments to see if anyone else asked this question and I didn’t see it, so I hope you this is redundant. I tried to change my record setting to the ones you mentioned and I don’t have the same ones you have. My choices are 60i 24M(FX), 60i 17M(FH), 60p 28M(PS), 24p 24M(FX), or 24p 17M(FH). So I have no idea what any of this means. I have the same camera you are talking about it and I am wanting to make videos. After years of having this camera I am finally going to learn how to use it proper. I really appreciate your help and I look forward to watching your other videos. I love how you show how to find the settings you are talking about instead of just talking about them, It’s so helpful. thank you for making these videos.

    • @TomsJurjaks
      @TomsJurjaks  Před rokem +1

      Hey Kassie, hmm yeah I definitely dont have a comment like this asked. I have a sense it has to do with the FILE FORMAT. Under the first tab (camera icon) and 1st page on the bottom there is "File Format". I use "XAVC S" as a file format and it gives me all the options I talk about in this video.
      I see that if I choose "AVCHD", which is the one you have selected, then the record settings are as you mention above.
      So use XAVC S instead of AVCHD and you should be fine :)
      Hope that helps

    Love this❤️! Got a6000 for Xmas but my footage is wonky (want to make beauty videos with blurry background). About to get a new lens. Do you have suggestions on what mics to use for improved audio for this camera, & basic lighting for beauty vids (my ring light seems to not pick up colors accurately)? Thanks so much! 🙏🏾👍🏾

    • @TomsJurjaks
      @TomsJurjaks  Před 3 lety

      Hey Jane, so nice for you to check the video and leave the comment. I think I cover most of your questions in another video of mine, please check on my channel video called "Vlogging on Sony a6000".
      I also speak there about mic limitations and how to work around it. Check this video's description to see which Mic i recommend.
      Regarding the light, thats a bit tricky point here, since a6000 is bit older camera that does not have color profiles (like slog-2 or HLG) it is bit harder to get the right color. Im struggling with it too a bit. As far as I know, newer models have improved accurate skin tone recreation.

    Super easy to understand for a beginer 👌Great video but i have one question why use 40 bitrate when camera records at 50 so why not set 50 also when exporting?

    • @TomsJurjaks
      @TomsJurjaks  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks! So I used VBR 2 pass, which means the video is checked twice when rendering. You never want to put higher bitrate than what your camera can do, otherwise you will see artefacts. I used 40mbits as Pass 1 and 50mbits (20% more) as Pass 2. Arguably it gives the best result.With the 2 passes you tell Premiere to choose in which parts it needs to render the footage at full bitrate (50mbits) and where it is fine to use less (40).
