Cheapest beers I found were from a shop house on second N(?) of Lengkee. Was ages ago but I'm sure if it's gone there are others. Was a wholesale type setup. 7/ELEVEN has the highest prices.

@@oneendofthailand Yeah Pattaya. I'm sure there's more all over. I'm thinking it's 3rd rd and not 2nd. As I say it's been a while.
You should differentiate between reverse osmosis amd triple filtered water. The RO water is proven to not be good to drink. The filtered water is dependent on the maintenance done by each individual building.
I found using tap water made my fillings fall out, so I don’t use any water now. But have had no issues using tap water for tea or coffee, even though my coffee maker doesn’t boil the water! Also the water machines are ok for me as well, after nearly 4 years of living here!

Can I ask a favour, could you do a video or three on Beach Road around my usual billet of Soi 4. Soi 2,3,4,5 (probably not 6 ;-)) 7 & and Whitehouse. @@oneendofthailand Just thought it might be a bit different and dare I say less touristy as its at the older end of Beach Road where many of the locals live and the Guest Houses, Hotels are the more established (beware no lifts) condos are. No criticism intended. Perhaps Dongtang (or whatever it's called) Beach as far along as Pratamak.

Not all temples are free and boiled tap water is fine for tea and coffee 😂. (and pot noodles etc.)
All temples are free, except for those that combine other tourist attractions, like palaces. 👍

I agree about not drinking tap water. When I first came to live in Thailand 13 years ago I only used bottled water for cleaning my teeth. I eventually just used tap water, obviously trying not to ingest it. For coffee and cooking I have always used tap water. Never had a problem. But each to their own I guess. As regards to Lazada, I have used them a lot over the years.vyou are spot on what you say about them having many bargains. I think I have been disappointed with their goods about 10% of the time. The old adage of if it looks too good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true😊. Keep up the good work Heath.

Greetings from Phuket. How is the air quality in Jomtien these days? I was in Pattaya for a few months but the terrible air quality drove me away.
The water from those machines is of variable quality; you're wise to boil it first. Only in Thailand could you show images of seafood on the beach in a "how to save money" video. Keep up the good work.

You're welcome. I can't really recommend short-stay condos as I haven't seen inside many of these buildings. Although, you will probably find a good deal at the Lumpini condos as there's loads they rent short term and they are cheap (but small). Good luck. 👍
Hey Heath, I ended up renting a high quality build (studio condo but loaded with everything) at a great low season price for a year lease. Behind Rompo market.. so a 10 minute walk to Jomtien beach, but an awesome property, so I’ll see hi when we pass by as I walk daily. (Need to lose 22 kg to keep it real) I got FAT over the Covid stay at home years... but plan to be Sexy Man in 4 months. Haha Best wishes to you and Lampon .. Shakin’

I never use those water machines 😳 Just buy 6 bottles at a time. Can use Skype calls as well - got cheaper now it’s owned by Google. I just put a few quid on and it lasts ages. Btw - Leo has the most calories out all those beers. I’m gonna start back on the San Mig Light - 1/10th the carbs.

Never know with water quality. Hopefully just a rare occurrence with the bottled water that I bought at the Ekamai bus station in Bangkok. The water seemed quite OK, until the end. Unfortunately I swallowed the last quantity. Disgusting. By the way, ask for an aisle seat if departing in mid day. You will bake if seated next to the window.
Good ideas from a thrifty Pom - If only CAMRA could get their real ales to Patts there are so many poms there and bars that could serve it.
I like John Smiths bitter and you can't get that here at all. There are some ales, but not many.

It would be expensive but can be done. You will find your UK network has teamed up with nearly every country in the world and will text you as soon as you land in Thailand. Best to contact your network provider in the UK before you travel and see what overseas packages they offer.

There is an app for Lazada. They will be cheaper from Lazada although they will certainly be better quality from Central. I am not sure if I have seen any there though?

I have both on my phone but I think with Whatsapp the other person has to also have the app. Not sure if you can call phone numbers on it.

If you want to fly legally, you need to register your drone with the NBTC and CAAT in Thailand and have drone insurance. Note that you have to bring your batteries in your carry-on luggage on the plane.

I wouldn't drink it even after boiling.
The last thing you want to do is start a video with an in video ad trust me on that one
I don't have in video ads. Only at the beginning prior to the video playing. I wouldn't want to interrupt someone's viewing and put one in the middle. Never have done.
