Excellent video Vic. I'm just starting out with my own authority and I didn't know anything about CHR nor Schneider. I have Amazon but the rates are trash. Convoy rates are iffy. I'm in CT and its a garbage market. Pennsylvania and Jersey are not bad. I appreciate the video 👍🏾👍🏾!
We've pulled 2 loads for Schneider & both I found from a different load board. Didn't show on app, even when I put in the exact same info. Their app had been extremely disappointing for us. Glad it works for you
Great video. Convoy do horrible business! They pay on time but I just don't understand how they're still in business. They suck. Amazon wants you to work for free, they're by far the worst.
Convoy want you to do the most for the least amount of money. But you'll get those crumbs on time. And free quick pay. I use them 2-3 times out the month. Usually empties.
Wuzzup Vic, see that grey keep going back- gonna need some just for men soon brother lol:-)!!! Also see you’re still smoking, wuzzup with the Vape 💨? Anywho good content as always, keep em coming AND STOP SMOKING🤣🤣
I'm in San Bernardino. I don't have a CDL! I don't have any experience! I'm not interested in driving! I'm interested in purchasing a truck and hiring a licensed driver(s)! Is this possible? If so, how do I get contracts or loads? How do I get started?
If I have a reefer trailer without a reefer unit, can I load most dry van loads on to a reefer trailer? I heard that dry van pallets side by side are too wide for a reefer trailer. Is that rare? Or is that a majority of dry van loads that won’t fit on a reefer?
Does the App have any Power Only for Tanker Loads? My truck is with Schneider and I want to either lease it on with a company or go with my own Authority at some point soon.
Hello vic. Are you a broker? Are you in Houston? I am hauling container bud .I been lease 2 this company they just don't want work with me...I like to start doing powe only .
Hi vic thanks for all those good videos you make, question: you have own authority but you don't have trailer i am right? If you have own authority and just a tractor you pay insurance just for the tractor and and rhe company you haul the freight for it pay the cargo insurance? Ones again thanks
If you have your own authority, by law, you must also have your own cargo and liability insurance. If you don't have your authority and are leased onto a carrier, that carrier may or may not require you to purchase cargo and liability. The insurance is purchased through them. Financially speaking, it's six in one hand and a half dozen in the other.
@@nattydreadlocks1973 thanks for replying, do you think worth to get my own autority just with tractor? The problem is I currently don't have the money to buy a trailer I have tractor but no trailer i just bought the truck by the way
@@nalvarez3505 where your operating is the number one factor for answering your question. Vic is out of Fontana California and it’s in a perfect location for his business.
How do you send your rate confirmation when factoring your loads, their rate cons aren't like most and my factory company is struggling with it. They definitely need to update their system in that regard
Swift and knight didn't have any work in my area. CH ROBINSON didn't either i call them on phone a broker told me nothing for power only. Do you know any good load boards for power only in cleveland ohio.
Wussup, help me start my own authority. I own a 2017 kenworth t680 with my own insurance but I don’t have my own authority. Im 26 years old. Been driving commercial since age 18.
hey vic i'm a dispatcher i got a carrier that want to run power only loads as a dispatcher can i get access to these apps ? he's out of the IE area i want to get him setup as soon as possible with some freight do these load boards cost ? do they work with new authority ?
good morning mate, congratulations for your educational videos, they are very good, but I'm a little confused, and I wanted to ask you if (power only) is the same as (power loop)? I'm starting in this business, but I don't have a trailer, thanks,
Schneider is definitely difficult to send rate confirmation to factoring company either that or our factoring company is a damn idiot ummmmm! Let's just say both is the correct answer
I love Your work and videos but that radius means radius from where you start and ending how fat from radius of destination are you willing to dead head . Keep up the good work
@@alcnya I’m thinking why not run let’s say, Ontario, Ca to Shafter, Ca or Ontario, Ca to El Centro instead of a 75 mile radius. Is it because those runs you can only do one a day and your not getting enough money? So it’s better to run two to three 75 mile radius runs? Thanks for your time.
That's actually one of my favorites. ONT TO SHAFTER. REDLANDS TO SHAFTER. FONTANA TO SHAFTER. Knight/Swift pays the best on those. During the holidays $850- $1050. Now their hovering around $750- $800. Below my standards. Still good compared to the rest. Convoy and JB Hunt pays $500- $650. I don't know who's doing that but they need to be shot and put out their misery.
Alot of Owner Ops right now are happy to make $1.60-1.92/ mile. When I meet them, I tell them.... You might as well park your truck and drive for Walmart.
@@alcnya great insight! Thank you. I guess it’s time to get the truck. I’m thinking I should be good with no more than 1200 for a truck payment . Im just going to get the authority and a CPA. I’d like to get a small sleeper and get the 11 western so once in awhile I can run a Montana load and take a few days off. I’m tired of all the lies from dispatchers managers and having to play the game. I want to make more money but if I run smart and because of factors that are out of my hands and as a owner operator I end up making just a little more I don’t care. I’m in it for more freedom than a company driver.by the way they used to call me little grant hill lol. Got really good at basketball playing guys like Corey Benjamin out of Fontana.
Thank you guys. Very well explained. I am trying to by my semi truck to work as a local or regional and I have no experience to find loads, now I am.
Im learning alot from vic!! I always try to learn from the guys who have the most experience with loads so i can try to get my own authority someday
Praying for yalls continued success and thank you for sharing how yall are doing

Which loadboards do you use?
no,their app is the worst,i use the load board on the desk top,my drivers complain like crazy about the app
Never use JB hunt as a ex employee.I tell board is munipulated.

Hello I searching for power only
Have you found any yet? I'm on the same page.
Do you dispatch??
So as a new owner operator will it be good to sign up with all of the power only apps? Do you have to register with all of them?
U have to register with everyone. Get use to it. It's the nature of the beast.
