Of course space is the premium... But is there anywhere closer to the motor that could be home for the catch-can? Fluid dynamics and a longer pipe you pay the price in efficiencies. Same for bends in said pipe. I'm praying for the clutch pack, such a hard life! :D
If anything catastrophic happens to the motor, you want what is gonna go in that can to be behind you and the tires. No matter what oil vapor comes out the filters. If it hurts the motor it will fill the can and likely blow A lot out the filters. Like when i had a bad ring seal and blew everything out. As far back as possible is as safe as possible.
Cool vid have u ever dynoed this bike ? Chris Moores Melania reputedly puts out 800 hp hence the 5,96sec pass lol love all the engine building tips r u allowed to run one of the newer generation Suzuki Thou engines those things seem to rev to the moon and back and even blow s1000rrs to the weeds very impressive na motors cheers
Regarding your crank case pressure, I thought I would share what I have learned. I'm an engine development engineer for a major automotive manufacture and we tried to keep crank case pressure under 5.5 KPA which is about .75 psi. With that said I think yours is way too high. Also, my turbobusa on 15psi only raises to about .2 KPA of crank case pressure which is almost nothing. My crank case breather is nowhere near as big as yours. Food for thought, keep up the good work!
With the gaps i run, at 13,200 rpm and 18plus psi of boost....2 psi is just fine. For this to live...i cant run anywhere near what an oem auto runs for tolerancing
Also the size of the can on mine has nothing to do with how well it vents...i could even eliminate 1 filter. Its the size it is to catch volume if it eats a piston. In the nitrous days id torch a piston and fill a can this size in a split second before the moror shut off. Its no different that running a diaper. You dont need it until you do.
I'm glad to see the progress you're making with that awesome machine that you got there really love that bike and all the hard work you put in 💯
Awesome! Glad to see the progress and getting it running right! Motivational for me to get my slow turd out next week for the first time this year …
Very informative
Hell yeah glad to see you out ripping it up. Very good information as usual keep it up
Well done mate 👏 great job

Is that cash days open to the public for spectators?
It is!
Are you still able to start the bike on gas to clear out the methanol with those injectors?
Yup!
What tail is that?
