This is supposed to be where to install an oil temperature sensor on an HD M8
What is your technique for checking steels for flatness ? Thank you for the videos !!!
Thanks for this and the paint is beautiful. gonna try that paint.

@@tpsfab I have a 02 GIXXER 1000 was wondering if you can point me in the right direction on what I need to get for the swap. If possible thanks
One of the best explanations of how a hand slider works on CZcams!
U running t4 oil I thought I saw some rotella jugs in the shop
Local store had a buy 1 get 1, 40% off soo ill use that in the superduke and drz
Would be cool to swap an L7 GSX-R1000 motor in there and do an all motor build and keep the bike light. Like the one David Fondon rides in Real Street. 7.42 is nuts lol.
My son runs 08 suzi 1000 and we r always working on clutch 10 to 15 passes it requires lots of new plates. i laugh every time i look at it. It looks like it is out of a RM 125 dirt bike. I run a gen 2 Busa put 50 passes on it ,still looks new, Clutch is about 1 1/2 the size of the 1000 plates
👍Nothing better than building your own stuff and seeing it go down the track after.
Gonna be awesome to see the new journey.....should be some great content doing the swap. I know there's plenty of billet oil filter fan boys and you're one of them 😊 but I would advise in ditching it and run stock, emgo or wix filters and buy yourself an oil filter cutter to check pleats. Also be cautious on the oil you're using with alcohol. HPL for the win..... you'll thank me later 😉
What rc batteries are you using. I remember you had a video talking about the rc batteries. Can't remember which video it was. I have no charging system and it's hard on regular batteries. Even anti gravity batteries. I'm going to go with your setup
I think the vid is called..."I really did just start my bike with RC batteries"
@tpsfab if not what kind are you using. I believe it's two together correct.
@tpsfab you are correct. Found it. Thank you for the time and info you put it out.
@@tpsfab how did you hook them up. Do you have 2 plugs that go into one.
@@uberdriver5711 yup
Do you have contact info., email I'd like to pick your brain about MTC gen 2 clutch. Thanks
i use the yana shiki fibers from amazon and love them. I run 2004 stock 1000 . 9;54 144 mph very consistant. 18 passes so far and zero issues. Haven't even looked at the fibers yet. No grabbing or stupid launch issues. I hand slide the clutch out real hard 1.51 short times and so far they hold up nicely.
What is the secret or technique to get inch perfect parking in the Big White Dodge?!?
Measure 3 times!
Greetings, my experience with e-bay clutch fibers on my stock motor GSXR1000K5 is they expand as they heat up. This causes slack through clutch cable, ect. They grab very well, but they're not worth all the trouble of always having to adjust out the slack, or loosening the cable when they cool down. It drove me bananas, no more e-bay clutches for me.
So what should my stack thickness be?
MTC Give the recommendation in the instructions, then you can change it a little bit either way depending on what the clutch is doin or what you want it to do. These no magic number for all
where did you get that engine stand?
It's from Dogwood Racing
Thanks for sharing man. At least went up there and came back in 1 piece. Always a win in my book.
Great job and vid Homie
Sounded and looked out there brother! Keep it up!
I see u already got it turned around...awesome man. Glad got to go down there and race bro, War in the Woods is on my bucket list for sure. Good luck at MKE!
Do you run a higher gear set for the pump?
Yes I do
Evening name is chris and I remember you said you hand a Facebook page . Wanted to know if I could fallow and maybe pick you're brain on bikes if that's cool with you ? Thanks

@@tpsfab thanks you sir
Loved the video, great job on the tank.
Hello , I made a manifold where you put the t on crank case. Inside that manifold is a wad of stainless screen. The first bit of condensation is always upon shut down of pass will instantly drip off that screen ,right back . You could also do a online condensation capture right out of valve cover and don't go to crank case that stops the accumulation before it runs down hose. But venting both would leave no case pressure and I always thought you wanted a lil but not excessive
Ive seen normal aspirated motors like the pro mode bikes use a vacuum pump to pull neg. Crankcase pressure .
Great mod...... its gonna work brother. You beat me to it......was on my list to do. I would still get in the habit of draining every pass though. Alot of meth will collect still. My tank fills more with meth than oil every time I drain.
For sure! My whole goal here is to just keep the between rounds maintenance to a minimum. You know how fast they run us some events!
Was that sir mix-a-lot i heard in the background?!? My posse' on broadway?
It was!
What do you think the local air pressure is under the rear cowling around the breather filter? at 60mph or 100 or 120mph would you guess it is a pressure region of higher or lower than ambient? Would there be an advantage to solve for a pressure below ambient to help draw air out of the crankcase or valve cover? What is the total weight of plumbing and catch-can?
Which brand and model welder do you have and does it run off gas(which gas does it use) and electricity or just electricity
Everlast DV185. you can use 110v or 220v. It's just limited on 110v. You can use gas. The type depends on what you're welding. I use Argon for aluminum.
@@tpsfab ok thanks for the information, does it have to have gas to run? Also keep the videos coming, you do a great job explaining things and give very good details.
mello yellow...send a case back with rob. we dont get that sweet nector up her in canada....great job and good luck this weekend.
If you want some ill 100% put a case in the cooler for yaa
Mam I'm pulling for ya down there...hoping get some footage down there. Thanks for sharing updates with us too!
Last video you mentioned internal baffles. Did you end up needing to modify any of the internals?
Nope...just blocked what I didn't need and made it drain-able
Clever 👍

When does work begin on the 2nd motor "backup"?!?
The way things are going....probably never. In 5 years I'll probably be done completely and he selling shit just to get by.
Good luck at war in the woods
Can't wait to see bikes at war in the woodz!
Hi Chris!
Welcome back
I use a power steering pump with a drill to transfer fuels in and out 🫡
Man love the video very helpful.. 38:44 .. so your saying you can run 2 different bearings on the same “ rod” just run the thin shell on bottom half case or rod cap right ?
Hello . Quick question where did you get your adapter for your engine stand to hold that engine? Will it work on a gen 2 Busa ? Thanks
Dogwood Racing makes them for busa and 1k
@@tpsfab Thanks

Methanol is corrosive to aluminum. You have to run a stainless filter.
Did you ever get to compare the rear tire temps between each round from last weekend? Didn't see the oil catching diaper get reinstalled, is that still a thing going forward? Look at the decal on the side and fender. Isn't that from an old sponsor??!? 🤪
They were all consistent at the launch but the tire temp dropped FAST while staging! I wanted 120 degrees, got 90 and went thru the big end at 220 due to all the spin! The diaper did go back on....its just a boring process to show.
Just found this channel and subbed! Thanks for the great clutch tuning information. I tune my lockup style clutches the same way. I think people get frustrated setting these clutches up because they don’t focus on the static springs and air gap only to get the bike to move the first 45-60 feet.
Seeing the freedom you have in the back half of the bike with all the electrics and electronics up front - I need to move all my stuff out of the tail and under the fairing NEXT winter …
