My trimmer operators always have a refill in there back pocket taken off a 5 lb spool.
We do the same.

long time no see man, had some health problems and well no mowing or any hard labor for me, going to just do weed and feed and getting my pesticide license. how life can change so quick. but I'm here man regrouping and re-strategizing. need to watch your videos cause you are like my wall outlet and give me energy.

Guys can't pull string off a spool? I've been prewinding string for years.
Not to familiar with Shindawai (sp?) but I think they are own by the same parent company as Echo. Which models do you purchase for your techs?
I did grounds maintenance for 30 years at a local school district, many solid 8 hour days on banks and I had the best luck with Echo trimmers. One bank had stones on it and occasionally my feet would slip out from under me ,and I would drop the trimmer and it would roll down the bank and lay there and idle untiI I picked it up and resumed. We would get years and years out of them,solid units. I did though try a 4 stroke Honda for a while, and it was such a smooth running trimmer. My only complaint was it was a little heavy. Never mix fuel, remove the dipstick rotate to drain the oil and put new oil in.
Trimmers, I go with lighter and with strongest torque. Husqvarna has served me well. These trimmers are throw away these days.

You have to be costing yourself money buying string that way. I would have no use for such lazy employees . Buy 5lb .095 line and call it a day. Let them cut off enough for a restring, roll it up like that, put it in your damn pocket. Is it that hard for them. I'll be damned if I would kiss their as like that. They would be told this is how we do it period.
