Exactly. I was pretty happy to have a movie that just wanted to let me have fun for an hour and a half. I love the comics and I love how messed up they can be with their psychodrama but sometimes I just want to have a good time and this movie let me do that.

I laughed a lot, I loved the club scene, and Venom actually is one of my favorites spider man characters (and I don't say villain, because it's been ages Venom has not been a villain, but an antihero, anyone who reads comics knows it)

To answer your question, in the comics yes. Venom imitates clothing for Eddie and he is in fact naked in some cases after a separation from Venom.
this is just what the symbiote did with Parker; no need for clothes or web shooter fluid since it would produce it directly

Yes, that's literally how it works in the comics. But it's not like Eddie's naked, the Venom symbiote can just imitate real life clothing. So it's more Eddie is full-time Venom always, but the symbiote shapeshifts into normal clothing.

According to the comics, the symbiote can shift to resemble normal clothing, so technically.....yeah, Eddie could be naked.
Yeah- it being able to turn into street clothes was part of what Peter initially loved about the suit

i remember the cartoons with spider-man when he got Venom...and yeah, there was a scene where Peter Parker changed outfits while standing on the side of a building...and it was just Venom morphing into different clothes...and also, when Peter got rid of the symbiote at that bell scene, he remained only in his underwear...so yeah :D it's safe to assume it's the same case here...but no...in the movie, his clothes just keep getting wetter whenever Venom takes over, suggesting that the symbiote is just really sliding through the fabric like a slimy thing...hence the clothes getting wet :( it was a bad thing they did...i would have liked to have the cartoon accuracy regarding the clothes...they could have added a few jokes in the movie with the clothes :)))

This film was a 90 minute version of that one episode in every kid’s cartoon where the good guys are fighting while the bad guys work together seamlessly, until the heroes together at the same time the villains start fighting amongst themselves

The symbiote easily morphs any type of clothes and even shape-shifts into other people, should the host want to.
It even has "pockets" to store stuff in, like Peter Parker did with his camera.
Now that's a functional piece of symbiote if I ever saw one! :D

In the comics Peter would only wear underwear and the symbiote was the entire rest of his wardrobe. This was before he knew it was an alien, he thought it was alien fabric that looked however he wanted it to.
When Eddie got Venom he seems to have dressed in the same manner.

I never thought about the awkward silence bit before but that’s really an interesting point! I wonder how do they cue the opposite actor of Tom Hardy in his scenes with Venom’s dialogue? Does he give a physical gesture that cues the next lines? Or are they reacting to a playback track of Venom’s lines in a earpiece or something?
I believe someone is reading venom's lines behind the camera for Tom Hardy to react to; that's at least how they do it if one actor is unavailable at the time and the other one is alone on screen anyway.
If I'm not mistaking I think Tom said in an interview that they would play Venom's lines on set and the other actors just had to pretend like they didn't hear them.
Hardy has an earpiece with the venom lines that he prerecorded. I think New Rockstars mentioned it in their breakdown.

This movie had so much potential. I could have slept through the whole thing and woken up in time for the post credits scene and not missed a thing.
Honestly, I thought it was better than anything Marvel has put out since Infinity War and that isn't saying this movie was excellent.

This film was very mediocre and felt rushed. It often out of place, like it didn't know what kind of film it wanted to be. It imitated a Marvel, but didn't seem like it was quite a polished.
If you ever do Eternals, You should rename it to “ancient aliens the movie” at the end lol

I wish this movie had Green Jelly's "Carnage Rules" song.
I was surprised how well-received this was by people. I wasn't a big fan of the first one, but I was looking forward to this. I found myself bored throughout most of it and I knew things were not gonna get better once Carnage made a Loony Toons tornado in the prison.
Also, the editing was baffling. It felt like the exact frame any line was finished was the exact frame it would cut to another character, line, or scene, leaving little breathing room for even the simplest of lines. It was the same for any major action scene; I had to rewind when Shriek got crushed by the bell because I blinked and didn't even realize what happened. It doesn't hold on that shot at all, so once it hit the ground, it immediately cut to the next shot where Venom and Carnage were fighting. That kind of stuff was constant throughout the whole movie.
Yeah, other than a few funny moments, I wasn't feeling this one either. I don't mind if it's PG-13, but there was enough talent in here to make up for that. Too bad they didn't utilize it, or build off the first movie instead of rehashing it.
The only thing I liked about it is that Carnage's CGI was really well done. He truly did scare me and the scenes of him were so visceral in IMAX. Oh, and Mrs. Chen. You're right about the editing, some of the cuts were just off.
What about the part where he *hacked a computer?* Not only did it bring up the info he wanted, but he apparently rewrote the machine to display it in black and red CarnageOS
Please say: “How can Antman breathe if he’s smaller than oxygen atoms”
The helmet has Pym particles in it that automatically shrink the size of the atoms of Oxygen so he breathe. Instead of shrinking the space between atoms, it shrinks the space between the sub atomic particles in the Oxygen atoms.
