    what do you think about the Quality?
    check out the small brother Nikon A1000 : • Camera Nikon Coolpix A...
    I bought the Camera for myself. I dont receive anything from Nikon or any Electronic Store. Anyway i have to mark this video as advertisment.
    The Sound is from the internal Nikon P1000 Micro
    I used the Oppo Find X2 Pro to film the Nikon P1000. Everything else is shot with the P1000 itself.
    Due to the small Sensor, the Camera is weak in low light. But if you Focus on the Bright Moon, there is enough light.

    I would never buy or even use a bridge cam like this, but if, it would be a Sony RX10 or P950. both have better lenses (bigger aperture), especially the Sony shines in low light with its bigger and much better sensor.
    I was also for a while at full frame with the Canon EOS RP and enjoyed "full frame glory" especially with 1.4 prime and super low light video of my hunting reptiles in the dark, astro stuff and so, but after 2 years i decided to go "back" to APS-C for wildlife and video, from entry level FF to "high end" APS-C with the EOS R7. In fact often i also use just a small portion of the crop sensor (2,9x crop, 3,1x with enhanced stabe) and its ok, but the noise level and problems in darker areas (the P1000 gets easily too dark without any chance getting the shadows up) would be a buge nogo for the P1000. As said... RX 10 Mk4 or P950 (the shorter, cheaper and more capable camera if you are fine with "just" 2000mm)
    If anybody think about such a superzoom bridge, you really have to think how often you will shoot the moon and some planets and if you are ok with "smartphone quality"

    • @pictainment
      @pictainment  Před rokem +2

      Both are fine cameras but
      P950 and p1000 both have 1/2.3 CMOS sensor. Aperture starting 2.8 on both. At 2000mm they should be at around f6.5 but p1000 goes further to 3000mm on f8. Not that much difference except the p1000 has even more zoom.
      The rx10 is absolutely something different. But the lack of zoom is something you gotta pay to get the bigger sensor Size. And it is a huge zoom gap between them.
      Camera decision based on needs. Size, price, zoom/tele, aperture, sensor Size, fixed lens or not many other factors.
      Aps c / full frame with Telezoom Lens is always the go to if quality is what you aim for. But it's a budget and weight/size question.
      If you don't want to shoot moon/Saturn etc, you may be fine with rx10. Maybe you could save some weight and go for zs200 (tz200/tz202) or even better aps c / MFT cam or full frame.
      Most Telezoom lenses for full frame or aps c capable of 3000mm in similar p1000 image quality, can be more expensive and even heavier then a p1000 itself.

      @@pictainment I get your point, but did you get mine and why the P950 is "better"?
      2000mm is already A LOT and more than most people would ever need or want, 3000mm is STUPIDLY CRAZY (and also heavy nonsense for most people, 100%!)
      The RX 10 can "only" reach 600mm, but 600mm FOV are already a very nice zoom, comparable to basic binoculars with about 16x magnification.
      I personally shot in the beginning wildlife with 800mm (RF 800 F11) on full frame and it was a very nice FOV for it, but 600mm are also fine and for really nice images more zoom wont help anyways.
      Actually im with APS-C on effective 240-960mm at a Sigma 150-600C (and 430-1700mm in 4k60 crop video mode) and i rarely miss reach with 240-960mm, often im even at focal lenghts anywhere between 300 and 600mm (effectively! Means like 200-400mm on the lens!) for wildlife which the RX 10 would also be just enough.
      P1000 is just too big, the 950 is somewhat "ok" and the RX10 Mk4 is just a superb allrounder (just the low light performance is a charme and big advantage over P950/1000

      @@harrison00xXx of course I get your point. The p1000 simply does not fit your needs. This camera is very special. In another comment i even suggested the p950 myself if 83x zoom is enough compared to those ridiculous x120. For wildlife you should aim for a better sensor and aperture. In many cases 300-600mm is more then enough for wildlife. That's your point and of course valid
      But in my eyes the p1000 is not really made for wildlife. It is a cheap astro photography/videography Camera. To get the Saturn rings you even have to crop the 3000mm.

      @@pictainment " It is a cheap astro photography/videography Camera"
      Astro photography camera? Ok please show me orion nebula... or wait, lets make it even easier than very easy.... show me the whole orion complex.
      If you didnt managed to get astro images from that.... to really have an advantage with the P1000: try to image M27! M27 is super bright, the only issue: ITS SUPER SMALL ( i guess M27 is one of the very very few usecases for the P1000!)
      So you didnt get my point: how often do you photo/videograph the moon and the planets in or solar system?!
      If you really talk about "Astrophotography", you better have at least a APS-C Sony camera, even better any good full frame camera and a telescope(s if you mind more usability). It only gets better with super expensive, cooled astro cameras.

      @harrison00xXx Před rokem

      @@pictainment The problem with all the P1000 advertisements... they dont tell you the fact that you are VERY VERY LIMITED with this bridge "camera"....
      It is WEAK for astrophotography (cant shoot or record anything dimmer than the planets), it is also weak for wildlife with its small sensor, super small buffer, slow hardware.
      It is also weak for regular stuff, all the P1000 can do is zooming, no matter how big, unusable or low image quality the results are.
      My point is: Many people will definately prefer the much better sony, and in case image quality isnt that needed, the P950 would be the way to go.

    I'm planning to buy it, can you make a video test, zoom to 500mm, 600mm to follow a bird in flight, one man says that stabilization is good at 500mm and you don't need a tripod🤔🇭🇷🙋‍♂️

    • @pictainment
      @pictainment  Před rokem

      Hey there,
      At 500-600mm FF equivalent it will work just fine with handheld stabilization. Above 1000 it is getting tricky. If your main purpose is 300-600mm, you should check out micro four thirds from Olympus or Panasonic with a 300mm lens ( it's 600mm full frame equivalent ) they got very good stabilization. Even most older models.
      Right now the p1000 is cruising around the world with my father. I won't be able to test before may, sadly.

      You can't expect 1inch or even APS-c sensor quality from this camera. There is one thing, that this camera is able to do well. Zoom
      That's it. And for a good zoom quality output you need alot of light, due to the small sensor size and the slow aperture lens.

      @pictainment  Před rokem +2

      For a regular bridge camera, I'd suggest a 1 inch sensor sized one. They are lighter and smaller. Of course around 10x zoom instead of 125x. But the overall quality is better, if mega Zoom ist not necessary.
