- Once for all. The FN 5.7 x 28 pistol is hammer fired. This goes for the IOM, USG, and MK2. Not sure if we should be blaming COD fan boys of what. Either way, anyone who has been issued or fielded a 5-7 pistol knows it is hammer fired.

Love the "kick in the dick" idea. Gonna have to use that with my idiot friends lol
Fn herstal first striker fired gun didnt come till the FNS series
finally!! even the NRA made a video about this pistol and called it striker fired!!!
Michael Spoto thinking like a intelligent and thrillingful person, not like a dumbass who are keep driven by something fallacy like NRA in this case.
Thanks for this vid!
I’ve had a 5.7 for many years and had this argument with a friend he said he wouldn’t own one because he didn’t like striker fire guns because they have “bad triggers” when I took it apart and showed him the hammer just like you did he went on to explain that striker fired means internal hammer and that’s why they trigger creep because the hammer didn’t have full travel like a real hammer fire gun. He prefers the amazing trigger on his 92fs. Just as you’d expect he shoots about as well as he makes sense.Good video I’ll definitely fwd it to him.
Thanks for putting that to rest.
I wonder if FN Herstal will come out with a striker-fired pistol chambered pistol chambered in 5.7x28mm to succeed the Five-SeveN design.
FN released the Five-SeveN was released in 2000 and its first striker-fired pistol, the FNS, in 2011, AND FN announced that NATO standardized their 5.7 round this year on 25 February 2021 as the NATO STANAG 4509. It would be cool to see them revisit the idea of making a 5.7 gun again.
like asking FN to make 503 with 57 chambered, but think like fpund some niche or kill five seven legeacy
Lol awesome vid. if you get a chance I'm finishing my ar15 build and any advice on the kit I should look at would be appreciated. I've looked at so many I'm dizzy and watched so many videos I'm going crazy. just want to build a good weapon.
+wraith Walker As far as furniture or what? If you are talking fire control group, IMHO if you cad do your own work as far as polish and grind, they are all about the same.
Yea that's what I was thinking not sure how I plan on finishing it yet. Either buying the whole kit or breaking it down part by part and buying it.
I was confused watching a 3d animation video that appeared to be a hammer (but the animation was fast and hard to see clearly). It's very unusual for a semi-auto to have a completely hidden hammer that can't be seen at all on the outside let alone still can't be seen when field stripped. Appears to be a fairly simple, effective design though (for what it is). K.I.S.S. (Would like to see Ruger's design and see how it compared. I think that one is striker fired, but I honestly don't know (edit: Never mind. It is hammer fired too).
ruger 57?
@@raditya5663 yep.
