It was my 14th birthday.... I got the smeg kicked out of little by some "hardcore" dude...
He threw me into an older guy.... the older guy was a Hells Angel.. Well. I said my peace and stuttered an apology... The Hells Angel? He grabbed me by the shoulders. Pulled me in and asked if I was okay... I tried to say sorry. This dude said "Nah, Mate, Fuck off, Drink my beer, hang on"
He went into the pit, found the guy who has wrecked little me.... then threw him into his other bikie mates and said "Get that C&Y^t out and GONE.
I stared in total fear.
Then, this dude said.
"Mate, get back in there, I'll back ya, and by christ, the metal scene only exists cause of you young fellas. Up to us old boys to help! GAAN GIT BACK IN!"

Lost my 21 year old son Jan 2020, this was last gig we went to together. Will always raise a horn to him.
Amon Amarth was our son's favorite band of all time. A year ago, I had Raise Your Horns played as part of his memorial service in our small-town Baptist church. That would have made him laugh so big. When I am missing him especially hard, I listen to this over and over again.
I know im late, but hes living it up in Valhalla and raising his horns. Sorry for your loss.

What I really like about this video is that it shows the bond that metalheads have with each other and their music. Some of the best times of my life have been at metal concerts and the music is special. They may have a brutal sound, but it shows how much fun you can have with it.

Same thing happened to me. Saw them with Ghost and I never really heard of them before. They blew me away. It was almost anti-climatic when Ghost came on. Since then I listen to them everyday. Bought all their CDs. I had a hard time finding "Put Your Back Into the Oar" on CD, but I found it on an EP from Germany. Amon Amarth is the band I've been searching for most of my life.
