the live performance is post mixed, thats why the quality is good. You dont get this quality with a live recording right of the bat, it's just not possible.

Are you sure this isn't pulled straight from the board? I've heard Meshuggah live performances where they claim it's straight from the board and it sounds this good.

@@jameswhitehead6758 The sound is edited, other live performances by Amon Amarth don't have as clean of a sound, you can e.g. hear Johan's voice drop sometimes, which is not the case here. Also this is taken from a live Album/DVD/Blu-Ray (The Pursuit of Vikings: 25 Years in the Eye of the Storm) which would justify an edit.

He has awesome voice, but best growl? Consider lord Worm(Cryptopsy), Tardy(Obituary), or singer of Gojira.

I met these dudes outside of Saltair on the Sounds of the Underground tour back in 2007 I believe. I was just a sixteen year old fan and they gave me the time of day without hesitation. Much love for Amon Amarth 🤘

It sounds so similar to the studio version, because this video is not very live. They clearly did a lot of overdubs and post production. Many bands do this for their live albums. Amon amarth played another show at this festival on the first day, which was a purely old school set and the recordings of this show are actually live.
