Loving it! I still remember about 15 years ago when I met Amon Amarth by total accident. I was working at Guitar Center and they purchased some gear from me for a show they were getting ready for. Most pleasant guys I have ever met and have been a fan ever since. Only thing I regret isn't getting an autograph. I was so lost into conversation it never even occurred to me. I absolutely treasure those moments.

Met Paul Bostaph, the other drummer from Slayer. Was remodeling his house, bought some stiff from the hardware store I worked in. Never thought to, either. Felt it would have been awkward, as he did not announce it was him, I just recognized him. Laid back as well. Sometimes, I wish I had. Many times, I bet he felt glad to be treated normal, thinking we had no clue who he was. Very awesome you sold gear to them. Willing to bet you probably served other musicians, even if you did not recognize them!
It's best that you didn't get an autograph, as those guys probably appreciate those interactions even more
I saw Amon Amarth open for Ghost, this song was so much fun live with the rowing. They've won over a new fan.

I'm blown away that these guys are still as solid as they are. This song brought me back to their older material which is something I've been missing dearly when it comes to the newer material they've put out.

Just saw these guys for the first time and this song was performed. I've never experienced row pits, nor did I even know they existed. Now I do and that makes me feel like a more complete person.

When I first discovered Amon Amarth, I spent the next 3 months listening to them. Album after album got me more into them and the fact that they tell nordic stories and history through their songs was amazing.

@Dr retardo weak warriors? They had pretty good tactics with ambush and northmen were one of the most brutal warriors in history. They had weak gear, but their strong belief in gods and that they have to die in battle to enter Valhalla made them fearless warriors. People were afraid of them of not showing fear. They were decent warriors. Scandinavians in general are taller and stronger too. Northmen were one of best if not the best navigators on sea, not so bad tactics and extremely brute warriors. Read about their best warriors, which even other warriors were afraid of them. They were called berserkers if I recall correctly. The only bad site of northmen warriors was their equipment. They weren’t great architects either. But denying them by saying they were bad warriors is saying that England had only peasants and not warriors because Danes occupied them for some time. I am not history buff but I read enough about northmen or as we commonly say, vikings.

From the older Synchronized windmill head banging to the simultaneous horn raising and now long ship rowing, I love this band so much. Amon Amarth has been my number one favorite band for years and probably will remain there for the rest of my days.
I saw Amon Amarth open for Ghost last week at the Xfinity center in Mansfield, MA. I’ve been a fan of Amon Amarth for a while but my daughter and sister who went with me had no clue who they were. I’m guessing most of the other people there were the same.
The band opened with Raven’s Flight. Then they tore into Shield Wall. Simply awesome. Amon Amarth kept the momentum and just shredded every song on their set list.
The so best moments from the concert… The entire venue siting and rowing during Put Your Back Into the Oar. Second, the entire venue pounding their fist in the air to Guardians of Asgard. I’m sure they gained many new fans that night.
It’s one thing for a band to rock a venue full of fans that know their material. It’s an entirely different thing for a band to do that to the fans of an entirely different sub genre of metal.
I have mad respect for Amon Amarth based on last weeks performance. My sister and daughter are now fans.
