- Imagine having all those skills in one single fly-half! It would definitely make the perfect 10! I have only put players that are currently playing which is the reason why you do not see players like Dan Carter, Jonny Wilkinson, or Ronan O'Gara.
Also, this video was created for entertainment purposes only! I could have added players like Dan Biggar, Quade Cooper, George Ford, Paolo Garbisi, James O'Connor, etc and what I state is not only on my behalf!

The only players near to DC status rn are Barrett, Pollard & Wilkinson.
The rest are way too far, esp young ones like him & Mounga.

You have to be able to pass the ball to your supports in front of them so they can run onto the ball, you must draw your man before passing, and if you sidestep him even partially you must off load immediately, you never hang ont ot he ball when you have support, your last option is to kick away possesion and hand it back to the opposition, you kick the ball out from inside your 22 m zone, you utilize grubber kicks and sometimes a kick pass but that has to be a very obvious option, never do cowardly up and unders, you always take the tackle in preference to kicking so that recyclingof the ball can occur.

A flyhalfs main skill is his vision and ability to put others into space ....these are all finishing attributes that arent essentials for a 10 to have....playmaker ,points machine kicker ,momentum controller goat is DC..none of these compare

Clever video showing lots of individual skills of some pretty skilfull players. You showed almost no actual." Playmaking skills " though . Passing, putting a man into a gap, tactical kicking, game management. Guiding your team around the park. You know, making play for the team. Most of those skills you showed are not important for a playmaker. I doubt Dan Carter ever got an intercept, he was never really fast like barrett. But was probably the best playmaker ever. Watch his game v lions 2005 for probably the best example of playmaking skills in the history of rugby

Certainly he polarises opinion amongst fans. Some like him and for others don't. Interesting amongst the players who actually know him he is a popular and respected respected figure.
Fans can like or hate whichever player they want for whatever reason. Looking at some posters still going on about Farrells tavkle on Esterhuizen. That was in 2018 ffs since then we have had players around the world banned for eye gouging , stamping on heads , jead and shoulder contact hitting rucks stamping breaking legs there have been doping cases but weirdly they are ignored but Farrell seems to be the cheat etc.
I am am ex forward and frankly I cannot believe that some people are so obsessed about a fly half cocking up a tackle. I never played with a fly half who could tackle. A botched tackle by a lock or a prop is interesting but to still be going on about a fly half's tackle that he wasn't even cited for is pretty soft in my book. Perspective seems a thing some fans on here seem to lack
This analysis of Farrell's tackle technique hasn't aged well... But I do agree overall, someone like Darcy Swain who intentional crippled an All Black in a ruck is a far more despicable character for instance.

Russel is probably the only one on this list I'd call a true playmaker, sexton too maybe. And that's not taking anything from any of the other 10s, they all bring their own things to the table
