Updated.I have found it. The perfect method with a hand wisk. First make sure your wisk batteries are not running down. After warming the milk in a 500mL glass pyrex jug place your 200-250 mL of milk into your 600 mL metal pitcher. Tilt your pitcher at around 30 degrees angle, place the wisk onto the shallower side just below the surface around half to 1cm. Now wisk for 2-3 seconds, no more or less to introduce air into the milk then immediately move the wisk to the the opposite but bottom and deepest part of the angled pitcher and vortex the milk for 60 seconds. You should hear the wisk sound lower in pitch at the last 10-15 seconds. Now tap out the air from the metal pitcher. Gently pour the milk back into the glass pyrex jug, then back into the metal pitcher, keep rotating and tapping out any bubbles. The milk is now perfectly microfoamed. Important when generating the vortex fractionally move the wisk about a centimeters away from the wall towards the center of the base. If you don't the vortex will be poor, if you over move the vortex will start drawing in air and generating bubbles ruining the milk. Its an equilibrium of this for 60 seconds. Your milk will now have the consistency of wet paint. Without this consistency there's no latte art.

    • @CoffeetoArt
      @CoffeetoArt  Před rokem +7

Hey TEMBIR ! For the duration, you should aim for 20-30 seconds, should be alright. If you want to foam your milk with the french press I suggest doing 30-40 little/fast pumps and don't forget to swirl and tap your milk before pouring for latte art !

Most of the time I make a perfect thick froth, it’s so thick at times , it’s like marshmallows.
It took a while to realise the milk needs to be hot but not boiling.
Start with the froth handheld gadget in the middle, don’t have it too far up or it creates too many bubbles which creates air.
After you’ve held it in the middle, making a whirlpool, lower it and slightly turn the container on one side.
Put the frother down further until you have a nice thick froth.
Perfecto. It doesn’t create really thick froth all the time though, most times I put it back in the microwave to make the milk hotter and it works.
      Hope this helps.

We just tried it with 1/2 cup of warmed milk in a plastic cup. Didn't work. What did we wrong please?

"plastic cup" is the issue, that thing makes heat released faster

As the espresso sits there, it becomes bitter, but as steam milk sits, the foam separates and becomes creamier… so…steam milk first, then make espresso

Doesn’t work; I did the identical thing as you but with 20 seconds I’m left with way more foam that I know what to do with

Some milk froth like crazy ! I recommend using differents milk brand to find a perfect fit for you !

  • @thescippngcat

It looks simple, but there must something wrong with me if, no matter how many times I tried, I get a cappuccino fluffy foam cap that just floats on top of the coffee :( My frother has three speeds and I tried all of them to no avail! Same foam cap. I tapped the pitcher, no bubbles atop, still the foam cap. I kept the tip of the frother deep inside milk, moved it around, slanted the pitcher. Still the foam cap. If I use almond milk in place of cow milk, same foam story. I don't know what's wrong with this seemingly easy process. Probably if I don't froth at all and just pour milk it will work.

This isnt a latte though, this is a flat white, a latte has the coffee poured into the milk, instead of the milk poured into the coffee

A latte has the steamed milk poured into the espresso just as shown. Macchiatos have the espresso poured over the milk.

Nothing is more cruel than the horrible dairy industry . The cow is inseminated painfully every 6 months so that calf is born. The calves are taken away immediately without a single drop of milk. The male calves are transported to the slaughterhouse to be killed on the very day. This process continues for some years till the cow is completely exhausted and later sold for meat. That’s the milk we consume. I literally had sleepless nights after watching the cows, their udders become so big they can’t even move. And they run to save their babies from going to the slaughterhouse.
People needs to consume plant based milk to end this madness.

If you had sleepless nights over this then you clearly need help because first of all this is simply not true and secondly maybe find a hobby as you desperately need something to occupy your mind. Obviously you are trolling because nobody is this stupid but just incase my statement remains xx

I call bs. He didn’t submerge the frother and just kept it on the surface. Would create too much foam to get that texture.
