I'd never heard of Anne Lamont before this podcast. I've been busy scribbling down all her words of wisdom. Thank you Julia for introducing her to me.

Julia - the tops of my feet hurt too and I finally figured out, after 2 podiatrist visits and X-rays, that it is tendinitis! I’m 63yrs old going on 64. I also became familiar with Annie’s work by reading Operating Instructions. My first, my daughter Amanda, did not have colic but was nicknamed “Demanda” nonetheless. Needless to say, when my husband told me he had to go back to work, I said “Can I come with you?”!
Julia: I never listened to any podcasts until your Wiser Than Me series which I started listening to last week while recovering from surgery. I'd be icing and listening to your fabulous and perceptive interviews and forget the pain. Kudos to you! Finally, something very worth listening to!! As a 71 yo woman, I really relate to much of what your "interviewees" describe. Will you be doing a third season? You appear to select women who have some personal "connection" or meaning for you. In any event, I was thinking about some other potential women I'd like to hear from: Sherry Lansing; Meryl Streep; Hillary Clinton; Carol Elizabeth Moseley Braun (aka Moseley-Braun); ; Donna Karan; Grace Coddington; Agnes Gund; Lyda Hill.
My very good friend and I use your words, "Bird by Bird", to remind each other whenever one of us gets overwhelmed with what's in front of us. It's so nice to here your real voice and I look forward to reading more of your books. Thank you, Julia, for your amazing podcast. Loving every interview!
OMG, yes my son had colic as well. What a nightmare. So funny about bundling him up and putting him on porch for the night 😂
Julia. . . I also am having pain in the top of my feet. I swim daily and the hot tub jets help, but what is it? Is it age? 67.
