That being said, Dave is vaccinated, so obviously he cares and doesn’t want people to get sick. Let’s breakdown this situation. You are disingenuous, or you didn’t know what you’re talking about at best. You are saying that Dave is an arrogant elitist who is bragging about inadvertently killing people. You say what you say hoping to trick people who haven’t seen his stand up yet, and taking what he said out of context. He opened by saying he’s rich and famous, and followed it by saying that he only said that because even for him with his privilege, the last 17 months were hell, so he can’t imagine what everyone else is was going through, but he’s happy to see them, and he’s happy they’re well, and is hoping that everyone they love is ok. He said that in seriousness at a comedy show. Does that sound like someone who is *seriously* bragging about killing people with a virus to you? Does that sound like an elitist? No, it sounds like someone who recognizes his privilege and has enough empathy to recognize others had a rough time during this pandemic. Many people lost people, either due to illness or even suicide due to the pandemic. Now let’s get to the other part. It’s a COMEDY SHOW. He said he got the J&J vaccine and said it was a n*ggerish decision. Are you taking him seriously when he says that *joke*? Do you agree that it’s n*ggerish, or do you really think he made that decision with the intent to be n*ggerish? Or was he making a joke based off of the issues surrounding that vaccine and its lower efficacy? Also, you say he was bragging about killing people with the virus. Wrong. He said he found out he got it, he felt gross because while preparing for the show and had no idea he had it, and was touching doorknobs, tipping people with cash, etc., and must’ve killed thousands of people. Does that sound like true bragging? Saying you feel gross about contracting a virus and possibly spreading it unknowingly? Even if in your mind he is bragging, it’s a JOKE. It’s a comedy show. If he was proud about killing people, he wouldn’t have followed it up by saying he quarantined for 10 days and did nothing. If he was proud of it, he wouldn’t have quarantined so he could kill some more people. He also followed that by saying last time he felt that dirty was when he was a little boy and was molested by a preacher and liked it. Do you think he was being serious there too? Or was he making a joke? You know, he’s a comedian right? People like you probably shouldn’t watch comedy because you are the buzzkills that don’t understand humor, or want to disingenuously pass a comedians humor off as having malicious intent when really they’re trying to make terrible predicaments into times where people can take a break and laugh and enjoy themselves. If you watched the whole show from beginning to end, you’d see how empathetic Dave is
