That's how most fighters are. The point of martial arts it's to keep you humble and chill. Most people who are mean and gloaty and brag a lot are often just scared of losing that success or scared in general. I want to build my sons up like canelo. I want them to have supreme confidence, but I want them to carry themselves with a humble heart. I’d truly love to pick eddy reynoso’s mind. He is truly a genius.
It has to do with taking pride in the roots of your raising. Canelo was very poor. But he felt a great sense of pride to be Mexican like his father. In a sense he feels proud in retrospect to have have those experiences of poverty and that’s what humbles him. Being poor is a very different mindset in working class America and Mexico. You take a lot of pride in what you are and to him he will always be proud of his roots.
Its got a lot to do with the way we were raised by strong women and strong men and values
