The 8" screen/ APIM & bezel purchased from salvage yard, rest online & Ford. My question is: prior to downloading upgrade files from CyanLabs which VIN # do I enter...the VIN # from my vehicle or the donor screen/ APIM VIN #? Thank you

I understand that Vin number has to be reprogramed into the new system but will the harness you sell bypass that step or?

Hey! Any chance that you share de part numbers that you have shown in this video? It seems the faceplate for 2015-2018 is F1EB-18835-DG3JA6. I wonder what would be the bracket that holds the screen and module part number, the one being discontinued by ford.

Hi, I have a 2016 fiesta st180 with the sony 4.2 inch screen. Will a conversion to a sync 3 system interact with the vehicle settings e.g esc, wiper setting, mirror settings etc?

hey, i got a 2014 and bought an entire Sync 3 kit from a friend which included a 2015 front fascia, I know that the 2015 doesnt have the lock/unlock doors button and a slightly different trim, does it still fit the car? Parts havent arrived yet so I'm here wondering if I'll have to buy the proper front fascia or not

Is this upgrade possible in a UK Mk3 2013 Titanium with rear sensors, climate control and the 4" premium Sony unit? I have upgraded door speakers so would prefer to bypass any Sony DSP if possible when upgrading?
Absolutely. Our conversion doesn't go through the DSP at all and is compatible with cars in the UK and EU. You might need to source another ACM if yours winds up not being programmable (some of the early ACMs weren't in Euro cars)

Absolutely -- the one thing we've found with EU Focuses though is that the ACMs are not programmable. The simplest solution to this is to find an ACM from a KUGA and modify it to fit in the Focus ACM casing. Everything else is the same though!

Absolutely does. Our harness taps an RCA into the same lines just in case someone doesn't have a backup camera and wants to add one 🙂

Hello! I want to upgrade my NON SYNC 2011 model to a Sync 3. Is that possible ? I noticed u talk about the 2012-2015 range only. Thanks in advance !
My 2011 focus is still a mk3, but it has the 4inch display with no sync software (as far as i know ... the car's bluetooth name is "Ford Audio" not "Sync"). It s a titanium so it has Just navi, bluetooth and so on.. Also the USB and Aux are located in the Glove Compartment. Does that affect the install in any way? The car is imported from Belgium. Please let me know if it will be worth the acquisition of a sync 3 module as u explained very nicely in the video above. Thanks again.

Hello, I made a conversation from sync 1 to sync 3 in a Ford fiesta and it could not make the usb ports work, it connected the two cables to the hub, the blue light is hanging but it does not read the pendrive, do you have to configure something? What can be? Thanks

Are all the 2020 Sync 3 displays and modules now GPS/Nav? I have a F250 that doesn't nav unless connected via usb to my android. It knows where it is and I can auto start it from fordpass app. Do you know who might have the info to reflash via FORScan(if possible)?
Hey there, that's just Android Auto that's popping up (Google service similar to Apple CarPlay). If you want built in factory navigation you unfortunately have to swap out the module or the daughter board inside of the unit 😟 since you have a 2020 truck with the FordPass app you'd need to get a 2019+ Navigation APIM that has the LTE module built into it. As for the FORScan asbuilt data, you can retrieve your stock data from motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt -- just enter your VIN and fill out the security code and it will populate!

Just use the same stuff as shown here, but use a USB hub off of a 2016 Explorer or 2016 Fusion (has the same power connector as Sync 3 hubs, so you can use Sync 2 with a Sync 3 upgrade harness)

The resistive touchscreen on my 09 f250 with SYNC 1 with nav was perfectly fine and feels just like SYNC 3, only difference was AA/AC integration.
I'm sorry but this is just not true. The responsiveness and multi-touch capabilities of Sync 3 is absolutely noticeably faster and better to use than all prior Sync generations.
@@NaviUpgrade I'll admit, it sometimes doesn't register my touches, but since I never owned sync with my ford touch, I can't judge that.
@@NaviUpgrade for me, its barely a difference, since that sync generation was the smoothest with no lag, and no freezing that I have experienced, whereas sync 3 takes time for it to go to a menu where I clicked, so I feel no difference

That's up to you! If yours is working well I don't see a reason to swap it for the one with XM Radio / HD Radio. Personally I think the stock one sounds better.
The only time I'd say swap out is if you have a 2018 that doesn't have a CD player. The sound output of that one is garbage.

Problem with Ford is that there's a ton of different part numbers for stuff - it's not all the same so I can't just give you a part number unfortunately. As for harnesses, looking like end of the month 😩

Depends on the deal you can find but I would say anywhere from $500-700 is what most people spend on their upgrade.

Talk about helping people right,, have a complete kit for ford taurus with wiring harness tell us to grab what we can from salvage yards but leave people hanging cause you won't sell just the harness for the ford taurus!!
