Thanks for these videos! My welds improved immediately after I saw your videos because I realized you don't have to go super fast. It was a night and day difference! Keep it up! My little girl likes to help her old man in the shop too :)
All the best!
No problem bud and thank you!
Lovely welds. Picked up a tip when you rested on hand on that scrap piece. Never thought about doing something like that.
Next level welds there bro, I'm gonna try your trick with lowering the hertz for outside corners. Good to see you back on the videos.
Thanks Matt! How've you been bud?!
Amazing workmanship as always.
Thanks bud I appreciate it!
Perfektan rad izuzetna tehnika i savrsene masine to daje ovakve rezultate

Crazy good welds, great work man awesome content you are putting up
Thanks dude I appreciate it!
Your welds are perfect
Thank you!
Nice work mate
Cool video capture. Even though you are light years advanced from my level I really enjoy kicking back and watching you work. Very helpful & inspiring .
Awesome welder with awesome skills.
This was amazing
i got to use an HTP Pro Pulse yesterday. Very Strong machine. its also way faster than older machines.
Nice I love mine! Best home MIG I've ever used!
Outstanding work Max! Stacking those dimes!!! So happy you shared your settings it confirms most my go to settings on the HTP221. Just great to know I was in a good direction. Great video. Keep em coming 🔥👍🏼🔥
Thanks Phil I really appreciate it brotha!
Beautiful job! Of course, I'm drooling over your welds. The only way to get that good is to do it over and over again. The best I'll ever be is a mediocre tig welder, simply because my trade is a carpenter of almost 40years. Experience makes it look quick and easy. There's no substitute for experience...ever! That goes for any trade.
Thanks bud! Ya it's hard to get good at something if you're not doing it day in and day out
Buen trabajo gracias por compartir tu trabajo
Very nice work
Thanks bud!
Badass work
Very nice workmanship mate and thanks for making these videos they are great to watch 👍
Damn! You sure have awesome tig and fab skills! Fantastic!
Awsome work mate, skills to pay the bills, thumbs up from the 🇬🇧
Thanks bud I appreciate it cheers!
Very nice work sir. Info on the machine set up was great and much appreciated. Keep em comin.....😎
Will do bud and thank you
Skills skills ... skills
Thank you bud!
Even in my dreams, my welds don’t look that good. :(
Haha it's been years of practice
Robin, Same here.
outstanding work as always
I just found the channel. Think i found a new weld channel!
Man! Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous weldings, you are very talented indeed. I have been watching many of your videos and have helped me a lot.
I have a primeweld 225x hope your settings works for it at least as a baseline to get me in the ball park,
Thanks for the great videos and sharing your experience
Ya the settings should be good. I don't know if the balance on your machine shows % of EP or % of EN. So the balance might be opposite. So instead of being around 70% you might be around 30%
You almost weld like a machine and I mean that in a good way. If I ever weld half as good as you I will will be a happy welder.
Thanks bud!
Excellent work, as always! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching bud!
Awesome work as always. Thanks for posting video.
No problem thanks for watching bud
Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing
No problem thanks for watching!
Super job. I wish I can get to be this good if I practice enough with my powertig
Beautiful work!
You can keep the camera's focus from hunting by switching to manual or turning off focus tracking. I think it's trying to switch between the work-piece and your hand.
Very good job!! Greetings from Spain 👋
Thank you!
Great job Man looks really nice
Absolutely beautiful ... not the inter-cooler ... Your lovely daughter. The inter-cooler is beautiful too.
Thank you! She loves hanging out in the shop with me!
Well done!!!

You do some awesome work brother!
Thanks bud I appreciate it!
Хорошая работа !!!
УДАЧИ !!!
Top job man.
Thanks bud!
Great job man
Thank you!
Did you put 2 smaller intercoolers together to make it bigger? I missed the part of why you welded down the middle!
Nice! My only complaint is you left your camera in autofocus a few times while welding. Lock that focus and set that baby to manual! Killer work man
I know it bugged me too! in the video after this i made sure to manually focus
What type, thickness aluminum are you using for the end tanks and what size/alloy filler rod?
I'm running 1/8" 5052 aluminum and 3/32" 5356 filler
@@5thStreetFab any reason why you didnt go with 6061?
@@Alex-ez2ym ya 5052 is just easier to work with and weld
dude SOOO GOOD!!!
Haha thank you
Nice clean job !
Thank you Peter!
Im a new tig welder (brand new welder at that never welded before picking up the tig torch). I have an AHP tig 201xd. I dont think ill ever have that good of looking welds teaching my self to tig weld, but just a quick question. I'm having such a hard time with steel i can weld so much better on aluminum. Can i do the stop add filler move, pause, add filler, move, technique on steel as well?
nice welds!!
nice
Hello budy, how are you? I work with maintenance and sales of Radiators - Condensers and Intercoolers. We are going to start making Intercoolers. I would like to know, what is the correct thickness of the aluminum box for the Intercoolers?
Amazing work! What Filler Material do you use? So nice and Shiny!
Where do you get your IC piping from when you are welding up your piping
New to the channel was wondering where you got the short bead rolled tubing?
clean clean clean, nice one man :)
Thanks bud 👊
You work like I do, by myself 99% of the time, so you have to get creative with clamping and propping....especially when stuff is going one way and you want it to go the other.
Fantastic craftsmanship!, I need to make a habit of of hitting the like button on these videos. Do you mind me asking where you got the IC cores at?
Thanks
Tim
ya I got them from summit racing its just vibrant cores that the customer wanted
hey what saw are you using to rip the sheet ? looks like a good tool.
Legitness
Looks nice, btw where do you get your cores?
What would you say the most common intercooler tubing diameter would be? Was wanting to grab a set of big holesaws but dont want a bunch just sitting around for years. Like 2.75"-3.5"? Cuz those sizes seem to run around $15-$20 a piece, of some good ones anyway. Thanks bud! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year my guy! Best wishes
All the ones i do are 3" but thats a good question!
Hory fuck man Way faster than any robot.
Haha I don't know about that! But thanks!
Cool!
Amazing work as usual. I’ve been watching your channel and practicing lots (lately on 1/8 5053). I’m struggling with melting the start and end edges of my base metal (especially when I get to the end of a weld when doing outside corners). Trying to taper off on the pedal early enough but if I taper off too much, it starts to get snotty. I notice you seem to double dab at the very end, hard to tell. My Everlast 250EX is set for 125A 120Hz, 3/16 tungsten, 3/16 or 1/8 filler. Any advise?
Ya those are the hardest parts. The beginning and especially the end will get heat saturated. I like to start quick so it doesn't saturate so quickly and there's a couple things you can do. If you can clamp a block of aluminum behind the weld it will pull the heat out and help or you can stop a couple inches short and let the part cool down before you finish the last bit. Otherwise it's a lot of pedal manipulation to keep it from washing out on you
Eu tenho uma maquina de solda tig ac dc .
Mas não sei programar os parâmetro de frequência para soldar aluminio
What kind of aluminum are you using? Material and wall thickness?
.125" 5052
Very nice! How much gas do you figure you used to weld all of this?
Nice work I have a intercooler im designing. My question is do you use all 3/32 filler or did you use 3/32 on the endtanks and 1/8 on tank to core? I have 3/32 wire but wondering if it will be worth while to pick up 1/8 as well. I do like to push 3/32 wire when I weld but thinking its possible o can consume an entire rod quickly and might make uneeded starts and stops
Ya i just used 3/32 if you dont want to run out you can always tack 2 pieces together
@@5thStreetFab thanks. So many people have always told me to tack some together and I just never tried it. I had welded a truck frame with only 3/32 and it was fun makeing a 7 inch fillet with one whole stick
Nice work! Have you ever welded cast aluminum intercooler end tanks ? I was just wondering what will be the difference on Machine setup?
Most likely lower, way lower freq. and maybe just 60% EN because cast Al is like sponge soaking all the not that nice stuff. If You want to get a general idea of welding cast aluminum, Jody Collier have got a lot of nice informative videos on his YT channel called weldingtipsandtrick and The Fabrication Series is also worth Your time if You are intersted in this subject.
Thats some awsome fab work! How do you go with the pyrex cups on ally with the high amps? I thought they were only for lower temps on stainless. Sick as welding though!!
Thanks! These are better than regular pyrex but they're not supposed to be used on AC bit hey they seem to hold up!
This: Cool Artik
you could really use a small hand brake
That's the next thing on my list. I'm planning on getting a 50" pan brake
Muito bom vc . Solda muito 👍👍👍👏👏👏
Damn you're a BAWWWS at tig
Thanks bud 👊
Firstly, Beautiful work. I noticed that you hand filed ALL the parts. I think that cleaning parts before welding, helps to get better welds. On steel you get better "burn in" and obviously on Alluminium it is even MORE important. At work the boss wants productivity, Not cleaning, because cleaning "takes time", go figure.
Normally i have a burr tool that I can just zip along the edge to knock off the burrs but at home I don't have one so it takes quite a while to do it with a file!
That's an impressive looking intercooler. What is it going to go on?
Thanks bud the next one is even cooler! And I'm not sure what it's going on
Great work as always, love to watch you weld. I've learned a lot from you.
I noticed an Edge welding cup, so are you still using #5 cup?
I'm sure I'm wrong, but have to ask, did we witness you stick your tungsten?
Thanks
Thanks bud! It's a #7 cup and that's pretty much all I ever use anymore unless I need to get into a tight spot then I'll use a #7. And yes haha I know I stuck my tungsten a couple of times while tacking. But I also popped the breaker while welding the core to the end caps! The dryer was going at the same time! Haha
@@5thStreetFab thanks Max
I usually use standard setup on aluminum. Were you using the pro8 how do you like that gas setup?
I like a gas lens #7 it just flows better for me. This is an edge welding cup #7
Very nice. Do you still have your Ahp alpha tig? How does that compare to the Htp?
I still have it but it doesn't weld worth a crap anymore. The htp is like a budget dynasty to me. Not as many settings but definitely enough to be dangerous. Frequency only goes to 200 and pulse doesn't seam as crisp but for half the price id way rather buy this
This is giving me ideas. Oops, dangerous! Could you please drop a few hints as to where you sourced the cores for this project? Thx
Haha ya I bought these through summit racing but they're also on Amazon too. They're vibrant performance cores
@@5thStreetFab I have been watching your vids for a few months now and I aspire to complete my own welds to such high standards as yours. I need a LOT of practice, so I might as well practice on something that might have value, right
@@jawneelogik5744 haha ya you can just make sure to pressure test it! I would rather learn on boxes and things like that
@@5thStreetFab Yes, it's true that I should burn up some scrap before tackling anything as critical as an inter-cooler. However, you can't sell welded scrap metal no matter how pretty the welds, and in-the-end, I like you, am trying to earn a few shekels for my trouble.
BTW, my machine is an EVERLAST PowerTIG 255 EXT. It's had too little use, but every time I watch one of your videos, I get inspired to go out and practice a bit.
damn your good!!!
Hi
What is the aluminum grade that you use
5052 h32
Thank you very much
@@tinybuilds2132 anytime! You can email me if you ever need help
Try manual focus, the camera won't jump around when you move.
Ya i know i forgot on thos one but in the next intercooler one i did its all on manual
I hesitate to comment stuff like this because it's a year old and I know the "commenting" community can be very negative, but I find you a true gentleman. You're obviously extremely good at what you do and I very much appreciate that you are learning something new and trying to get better at it just so you can share your passion and help others. You are by far one of my favourite CZcamsrs, keep doing whatever the hell you want for as long as you enjoy it.
@@nathan100tz thanks man! That is one of the coolest things anyones ever said!
@@5thStreetFab you deserve all the success.
@@nathan100tz thanks man i really appreciate it!
What tungsten and filler rod are you using?
3/32" 2% lanthanated and 3/32" 5356
Why run the bead down the middle on both sides
Just to make sure theres no way for it to leak
@@5thStreetFab how would it only on the center post
@@TheMoody876 where i weld them under the end caps if it had any sort of leak it would come out from the sides. It probably wouldnt leak but its better safe than sorry
@@5thStreetFab thank you for the information
amazing skills, where do you get these intercooler / aluminum? sub’d
Thank you! I bought these through summit racing. The aluminum I buy from work
That shit is badass! Where did u buy the parts to make it? I would like to see u build a water intercooler in the future just to know the difference
Thank you! I bought the cores and inlet/outlet at summit racing. The aluminum sheet I get at work
@@5thStreetFab thanks for that info highly appreciated it. Do u know if its cheaper vs buying one already made?
@@rafatrill if you build it yourself it would be cheaper but the best part is you can make it the exact size you need and inlet/outlet exactly where you need it. But if you're paying someone it'll be cheaper to buy an already made one
@@5thStreetFab sweet, how can u check for leaks?
@@rafatrill Pressurize with a gauge attached.
How do I get this good lol?????
Haha weld everyday for years! Haha worked for me
Where do you get the cores from ?
These are vibrant cores and I bought them through summit racing
Great video but the sound is horrible,
Haha I know. The next one I'll mask it with music
the video is way too fast wish it was slow so we can see it better
I have another one that's slower
