The company I retired from had one of these along with a Citation 560. They skidded the X sideways on a gravel runway and it was totaled. No one was hurt. It collapsed a gear and sucked gravel in the engines. They have a PC-12 as a 2nd aircraft now. The 560 even had a cargo door put in it. These are used mainly to fly employees around the state for work.

There are people that call it the iPhone X. I don't like it when people call it an iPhone X, but I call the plane a Cessna Citation X, not ten. I think it's because when I first saw the name, I didn't realise that "X" refers to its Roman numeral, and when I eventually found out; I was already too set in my ways. I mostly just say "The Cessna citation X or ten" when speaking to people though

Correct. Almost all the older Citations up to the C750 are numbered using Roman numerals. X is the Roman numeral 10. My uncle used to fly one for 10 years and we've talked about it many times, especially since it's my favorite biz jet. I never once heard him call it the "ex". I've also met several other C750 pilots as well as having a friend who does line service at an FBO and they all call it the Citation "ten". Furthermore, I've seen numerous videos of C750 pilots and THEY all call it the "ten" because it's called a Citation "ten" or just "the ten" for short.

There are a few flaws to the commentary. FIRST, it’s a Citation 10, NOT X.
Also, it’s FAR from the Most Comfortable jet in its class. This aircraft was designed for speed and many things were a Direct compromise. No Flat Floor and seat/shoulder space, small galley etc., all borne of the fuselage profile designed for Speed.
The aircraft has proven to be an Absolute niche aircraft demonstrated by the limited production numbers.
If you are counting minutes in a Coast to Coast flight, this is the plane.
If you can afford the 20-30 additional minutes in the air, there are literally DOZENS of aircraft with larger more comfortable cabins with a lower fuel burn that can do the job.
Can’t call the aircraft a Fail but it only appeals to pax where time is Genuinely more valuable than Money.

not a good comparison, with commercial flights you have to fit in with their timetable, you have to go to a big international airport to another, maybe far from where you want to go, you have to go through all that airport security which takes time, if you miss your flight then what? you can't change your plans once your on your way, plus no social distancing etc etc, if u have the money then it's a no brainer to either buy or charter a private jet. If the business model as u say doesn't work then why do almost all successful people use one. Time is money
I live in Budapest, lets say i want to go to Teesside, where i grew up, a small regeional airport, i would have to take at least 2 flights to get there and would take me all day to get home, with private, i would be there in 2.5hrs
