I'm 59. A few months ago my 22-year-old daughter asked me to train to run a half-marathon with her in September. Have never run more than 10 miles in my life and hadn't run more than a mile for years but I decided to give it a try. Been doing this warm-up every time before I run a couple months and am up to 3 to 4 miles a run. So far so good.

This warm-up helped me with endurance. I've just started running and struggled. Doing the warm-up before my second run helped me do a 30-min run, with only one stop for a breather. On my first run, it felt like every minute.

Thanks Ash! I need to get better at stretching before and after runs. I’ve been running for 14 years now but have had running related injuries due to overtraining including Morton’s neuroma I needed to have surgery for in both feet. Post op 2 years later I’m trying to improve my form and get a bit smarter! Haha I’m not invincible like I once thought! Anyway, thanks!

Thanks Cal! I am actually filming a calf and shin splints prehab video today but I'm very organised and way ahead on my schedule so this won't be coming up until another 3/4 weeks 👍😀

@@RunBetterwithAsh yeah it did. I did it in 1:44 when my previous pb was 1:56 so im feeling great. And also my 10km is better now, cuz i break 50 minutes (48:58). Such a good halfmarathon, and now when im at home, im going to do some very deep stretches - my legs are literally dying 😅🫡
