  • Is there a connection between ADHD, Autism and clutter with Kelly and Hester Grainger
In the Declutter Hub we are proud to have a community that understands neurodiversity. Whilst we recognise the frustration it has or still does cause for many people, we’re all about embracing the challenges and learning to build an environment that helps people live their most fulfilled lives. This week it is neurodiversity appreciation week, so what better week could there be to welcome not one but two amazing guests. Hester and Kelly Grainger and their children are all neurodivergent and in today’s podcast we’re going to dive into their story. declutterhub.com/understandin...

I could so understand the RSD. It has affected me in every aspect of my life. I make every effort to reason through various scenarios of why people don't like me and don't initiate conversations or have stopped interacting with me. It's very painful and hurtful to consistently be rejected along with exhausting to critique every interaction I will or have had with someone. I've learned I can only control my reactions and my next steps. There is nothing I can do about why someone else doesn't accept me as I am. It's none of my business. If they don't continue to interact with me I just have to accept it and move forward. There are people who do accept me for me. Most importantly I am learning, very late in life, to accept myself.

Ok, I know I'm ADHD, now I'm wondering if I have autism too. I recognized Kelly's pattern of planning what I am going to say, my expectations of how someone will respond, then my response to that.
