@@alexanderarmageddon1467 YES!
@@alexanderarmageddon1467 why out of curiosity?
Fun fact: Alucard in the original show obeys some old Vampire logic like not being able to travel over flowing water, meaning he had to bring his Coffin with him to keep him anchored to his powers while he went to deal with Winkle.
Meanwhile, the boat he was on had its engines completely destroyed, so he had to just keep paddling in the water for two days and hope the ship caught itself on a good current or wave.
I believe he used telekinesis to move the huge ship to shore, something his enemies didn't count on.
Now I am picturing Alucard (after getting the entrance prepped) diving into the water and pushing the boat like Pippi Longstocking. Back to the coast.
@@CarlosAngelo1 ...wot? the entire plan was for alucard to come back. this IS the plan. let him think hes won, let him get drunk on power. let him consume the souls of every single person there so his mind collapses when they all become infinite.
@jynxed66six54 almost right? The plan was lure alucard there, exhaust his existing supply of souls, this will cause him to start drinking the surrounding blood. Then throw schroedinger into the blood so his soul gets absorbed. Because schroendinger needs to know who he is for his powers to work properly, it basically seals alucard away as his 'has a million something souls' means schroendingers power renders him nowhere. Alucards mind was fine, he just couldn't determine where/who he is with all the extra souls. That's how he was able to come back, just destroy his souls until he can determine where/who he is.

I cant say for sure if this is how it came to be but Emily dickinson wrote "hope is a thing with feathers" and Alucards "I am the bird of hermes, eating my wings ti keep me tame" . fucking brilliant .
@@talliakaraI don’t see how they are related except that both talk about birds.
@@weirdguy4948 the poem is called Hope and Alucards incantation starts with "when is hope is gone"
this poem, Dickinson personifies hope as a bird that resides in the soul and sings without words. The poem explores the idea that hope, like a bird, is always present, even in the most difficult of circumstances. It conveys the message that hope can sustain and uplift us, even in times of despair.
@@talliakara I get where you're coming from but if eating his wings keeps him tame, surely when he's out of feathers (or when hope is gone) he'd be "peak tame". Incoming novel ..
The trans for the Ripley Scroll isn't my work, only the second part where I'm just writing down how I think its tied to Alucard.
In the sea without lees: An aspect of the limitless ocean (the border of the infinite approached by the divinity within man)
Standeth the bird of Hermes : Exists the human soul
Eating his wings variable: Consuming it's vehicles (utilising the fruits of earthly experience, in the process of alchemical transmutation)
developing and uniting within that higher consciousness (or achieving stability, peace, a higher focal point of consciousness that is perpetual and maintained)
And maketh himself yet full stable: When the process of incarnation is complete (when all the fruits have been harvested, so to speak, and the ties to earthly life absolved)
When all his feathers be from him gone: Stability is achieved (the soul moves down from the ocean of the infinite no longer, ie, is fully divine, human life is ended)
He standeth still here as a stone: All qualities are possessed and united (one is all things, as a reflection of that infinite, a drop within the ocean)
Here is now both white and red: One is an expression of Life, and brings life to those about one, inspiring them towards the same within (the philosophers stone is the aspect of material life which is a catalyst for the transmutation to spirit. For the alchemist, life and death are reversed, the divine spirit is freed into life through earthly death, and we that live upon the earth are the dead, trapped in prisons of matter, of flesh) All life has lead to achieving this goal.
And all so the stone to quicken the dead: All life has lead to achieving this goal.
All and some without fable: There is no exception
Both hard and soft and malleable: Possessing all qualities, being all things, fluid, and complete, able to fulfill whatever purpose is required
Understand now well and right: Understand now, correctly, for this is of importance
And thank you God of this sight: it is of divine revelation
The bird of Hermes is my name: I (you) are in truth the soul, this is our true identity, not the human self, but the higher.
Eating my wings to make me tame: Using earthly life to achieve this end, devouring that which has given movement (that is moving through the experience, after which the vehicles, the human incarnation, serve no further purpose, and are destroyed, so that the life within may be freed) bringing all under the control of the thinker, the dweller within the form. The identity of the self becomes divine and all powerful within the sphere of that self, is no longer moved by outside forces, has reaped all that can be, and now resides within the bosom of the infinite.
“Only a man can truly hope to kill a monster”
“It is only when you refuse to give in with all your heart that you begin to transcend your humanity.” Alucard sadden by grief on his failures and fear of death choose to give in and for this he is unable to become a higher being.
Alucard has two Paganism references on him. The obvious one is the Pentacle symbol on his gloves. The second is his epithet "The Bird of Hermes." Hermes was the Greek messenger god, noted for his winged sandals and ability to fly. Hermes was also noted for transporting souls to the Underworld, while Alucard in contrast devours them.
Blood is the currency of the soul.
He has forsaken his humanity he has forsaken his soul. Therefore he must consume souls, so he can satisfy his “thirst”(the desire to become human again the desire to have a soul and be able to leave this world and transcend to a higher being).
The bird of Hermes is my name: I (you) are in truth the soul, this is our true identity, not the human self, but the higher- Alucard forsake his soul so he forsake himself that is why he says no matter what form he takes it has no meaning. Those forms aren’t really himself.

The poem works very well as not just a badass line, but an explanation. When the situation seems legitimately hopeless is the only time to release this restraint level. And it is to send him on his usual walks intentionally, when his walks tend to naturally default to a pretty substantial body count. It spells pretty clearly "this is the Hellsing organization's last resort. Good luck. You're gonna need it."

"When hope is gone, undo this lock, and send me forth on a moonlit walk" Still one of the coldest lines I've heard in a long time
A minor detail I love about this scene. Team Four Star is masterful on their editing and storytelling.
When the lyrics say "We shoot without a gun," the scene focuses on Millennium, the nazis that fetishize militarism and strength, 'a cult of death' as Integra would later describe them. But, that without any of their weapons, are nothing. Alucard *loves* killing Nazis, so he's well aware of what kind of useless punks they really are.
Then, on "We'll take on anyone," they turn to the Forces of the 9th Crusade, fundamentalists that actively abandoned Christian ideals of love and forgiveness, even the very worship of God, to turn Maxwell into their golden calf. But that are nothing when facing actually something stronger than them. Again, something Alucard is familiar with.
This is Alucard's diss track against both of them, enemies he knows VERY well to be cowards, before politely warning them to "GET READY TO DIE." And then, to party, party, party.
To be fair: Genocide, betrayal, sacrifice, murder and hypocrisy; are also Christian values. Don't believe me? Just read whatever Bible you have at hand.
Don't forget "This is your judgement day"
For the fundamentalists they go levicius for the salvation army dudes and they go classist, and in doing so miss out on the point of Jesus's love mercy and grace, but the whole idea that they aren't christian is false since they are taking scripture and applying it to the extreme of violence
Unlike several "christians" who bele8ve heresy heresy

A: Alucard returns to london with comedic timing.
B: Alucard played a short bit of the song as his entry.
C: Alucard timed his jump so he would land as the song ended.
Fun fact: Alucard's entrence is a reference to the book, where Dracula entered England on a ship where there entire crew was slaughtered.

Only difference is this ship had 2 crews and both got slaughtered.
@@Gamer88334 Oh yeah.

Honestly...the cinematic 'wowness' of this scene easily deserves a spot up there with top Hollywood productions. It's just so..."Perfect".
I love how the parody fandub only takes itself slightly less seriously than the original.
Honestly, it seemed to tone itself down from the first few episodes a great deal and I loved it even more. That episode with the valentine brothers was funny, but dear god was it also foul. Also, listening to the queen talk was fricking hilarious, but yeah, that style of humor went way down a few notches.
That's the genius of TFS. They redefined what it means to make an "abridged series". Still a parody fandub, but they remain mostly faithful to the original story while still hitting it out of the park with the humor.

I’ve been working out every day for the past year, and Ready to Die has been in my playlist ever since the beginning.
You can imagine how much I wheezed when this happened when I watched this show yesterday.
"JEEEEEEEWS!!!" pretty much something yelled throughout history whenever someone's mad at someone.
Regardless of whether the Jews had anything to do with it or not
I mean your not wrong
@@theguy6037 I mean, everything is grounds for genocide considering our history of anything.
Anti-Semitism was invented by one of Satan's kids, and boy is it a gift that keeps on giving. You wouldn't BELIEVE the number of Germans we got in hell around the 1940's to 1950's.
109 times, to be exact.
What’s funny is that the code phrase they used to release the level 0 restriction actually sounds pretty badass.
I wish it was in the original, it wouldn't have the moon lit walk part but still
Personally I think it's better than the original. Sure, the bird of hermes is a quote from Vlad Tepes, but pretty bland aside from that
I'd also like to point out that this was the first time Integra has ORDERED Alucard to "go for a walk".
@@Dann_Palkarr It's simultaneously satisfying, and disappointing.
it kinda confuses me though. release restrain level 0 is going all out for him. he's at full power. but during his fight with Luke (guy who called himself a demi-god if you dont remember), he release restrain level 1.
wouldnt that mean he was almost going all out? or is 0 suppose to come after 10 or something? am I the only one trying to figure out how this is suppose to work?

The line "Send in the spanish inquisition!" then 3 seconds later "They expected us! they expected all of us!" those lines alone just broke me. nobody expects the spanish inquisition, nobody but Alucard. XD

Too fuckin right mate
This time it worked. It actually worked
It did work... It did work
"I do believe our forces are being quite literally slaughtered"
"Who give a SH*T, they're Na*is"
I feel it's underappreciated how well Alucard's theme song for this episode was chosen.
"This is your Time to pay. This is your judgement day. We made the sacrifice and now we get to take your life. We shoot without a gun, we'll take on anyone. It's really nothing new, it's just the thing we like to do."
I could take hours analyzing just that verse and what a perfectly, morbidly grim fit it is for that scene.
I will always love the fact that during this extreme confrontation between two sides that HATE each other, that the sheer violence and fear felt by everyone immediately caused them to start collectively firing on Alucard.
Literally the Catholic Church about to go WWIII with the Nazis when they both decide "NOPE, NOT LETTING HIM POWER UP MORE IMPORTANT!"

I mean alucard was a more dangerous threat at this point
You know shit is too real when the catholic church and legit german nazis team up.
The Jewish running away before the battle started was a about a real battle as well.
@@masterquark1347 well... a series of massacres that started a massive wave of anti Semitism that continued throughout history
The Rhineland Massacre actually is a really great reference for them because that was a real life event where a group of crusaders went against the orders of their pope to massacre the people they were sent to protect. History repeats and all that
I like how it's implied that the music is actually there as everyone reacts to it, and we can hear it like its from a distance. Yet when he lands it stops. So that means he has a remote on him that he then pressed on to stop the music. Then when he got attacked he pressed play again.
Glad to see his MP3 player worked this time.
Along with wiring up the ship's sound system he hid a remote for the music player into the grip of his gun. Squeeze once to play, squeeze again to stop. ;)
@@twilightgryphon so does this work with anything like squeeze kitten once to mew and two to go pew pew
He did when he went to meet the Queen too if I recall correctly.
He was actually using black magic to animate the ship... maybe with the music too?
Kids these days will never know what it was like waiting YEARS for this entrance
Every line and scene from this series is a blessing that we as a species do not deserve
"Just hit playlist, just hit playlist!"
*music starts*
"It worked. It did work."
Seras: Not following your example.
I really think my favorite part of this scene is knowing the amount of effort TeamFourStar put into making us know this was music being blasted by Alucard over the ship's PA, and not just audience-only boss music. The lack of bass before he starts running, and changing the source of the sound when panning over different people so you get a sense of where the music is coming from in relation to their position, and that they are hearing the music and reacting to it.
Also the masks being edited on to some of the catholics
Oh wow! you are right!
I didn't even realize that this song was a mash up either. They had to make the mash up too.
I remember when the song started playing and watching chat go ballistic over it. It was so awesome to see everyone getting pumped up.
I feel like this is the music that was supposed to play when Alucard made his entrance into the meeting with the Queen, but his shuffle cockblocked him.
"Fuck it, dropping the formalities" hahaahah, never ever laughed so much

Seras: "Alucard, we need to do this stealthy!"
big Al: "Hehe, who's gona know if no one is left to tell!?"
Alucard: *does a reenactment of that one scene from modern warfare 2*
Well, when playing through any Metal Gear Solid game, that's basically the TFS mantra. If no one's alive when you leave, then there weren't any witnesses. If that's not perfect stealth, there's no such thing.
There are two kinds of stealth:
“No one alive *saw* me”
And
“No one *alive* saw me”
A one man Steiner Scout Lance!
No one will notice if there’s no one to notice
Anderson-“It’s a shame your blood sugar daddy won’t be around to see it.”

I've had a similar experience to this in a game before, Shit had gone off the rails and i get called for help, I warp in a ship blaring "We like to party" by the vengaboys so loud it silenced the comms channel only to ripple the crust off of someones small moon with the energy equivalency to a dinosaur ending asteroid impact and fucked off like nothing happened, Best 2 tons of antimatter i have *ever* spent

@@lordmech LMAO XD
also the greatest circle back to the "I'm going on a walk" line in every episode
This isn’t even the only time TFS has made a joke come back for an impactful moment. Take in DBZA when Goku told Vegeta to “Eat that horse” and reused it on Gohan during the final clash with Cell
God, TFS is amazing at what they do
It isn't part of the incantation at all.
That is why she said drop the formalities.
Go for a walk is code derived from US paratroopers kicking Nazi ass with no plan. They were simply told to "go for a walk". And then dropped behind enemy lines to route the German lines by destroying supply networks so the main forces could push in on the weakened enemy lines.
The incantation is the formal and theatrical but her implied permission is enough.
It was actually the second time alucard actually listened to her the first time was when they first met, "your first order, keep your arm steady"
That was more of "let me use your arm vampire daddy so I can become a badass bitch" this is him following orders without him getting sexual surprisingly.
@@curtismcpsycho8212 he didn't get sexual then either, but he may have been Dracula at that point I don't knoe

yes
I come back to this every 6 months or so for years now. This show had no right to annihilate my brain. Alucard never looked so badass
1:52 that part was done better here than the original in my opinion you really get the sense that everyone knows something horrible is about to happen hence why they all scramble to try to stop him
I 100% believed that the song was originally Alucard just playing his own intro music on a little banjo before the rest of the instruments kicked in. The idea of Alucard strumming an instrument as the ship sails up the Thames is absolutely in-character.
I hate how much i agree with this commemt
Dammit, it's stuck in my head now.
I mean he definitely had time to learn. He's been around for quite a while
Alucard just ate Andrew WK and his band to play his songs whenever he wanted.
He took his phone and hit random
I like how both sides attacked him knowing he was the biggest threat
Even with both teams getting first shot advantage, Alucard managed to get two team-kills at once. Gotta love how imba the Vampire class is once you've leveled up enough.
Bruh, Vampire isn't a class, it's nothing but hacks. There's a good reason why their very presence unnerves anyone around them. It's not a class feature, it's the system literally trying to figure out what to do with the modded profile.
Same with all supernatural creatures, they're just hacking the game and fucking over the player base for the laughs.
YES!
so true simon
you seem to have forgotten that seras gaining a single familiar is enough to send nazi vampires into a pants-shitting terror.
alucard has roughly 3 million familiars. your best option is _to be somewhere else,_ and they know it. too bad they can't run, so they attack the thing that's causing the world to tremble and shake.
you may notice that anderson and the captain don't even bother attacking, they just run.
Yal Rathol So Anderson throwing his bayonets into Alucard and the captain literally kicking his head off don’t fall into the category of attacking ?
It's the "they expected us! they expected all of us!!!" that gets me every time
