I don't understand how these places can be so short sighted. They know there's a cottonwood season and they know equipment needs filters. Why would you ruin a unit over 4 filters and an hour of labor?

Thank god you got 500 on each. It at least allowed you time to clean some coils and get some filters. Clean out drains and change the batteries that all customers lie about changing. You did great on that one. Give em a quote and move on. You probably even had a little truck time to get prices. I treat nte's as emergency room visits. Get it stable if ya can and boot them a quote. With the prices these days increasing every week just do what ya can. That was a $600 compressor 3 years ago. Now carrier wants like $1300 for it.
