We used composted cow manure for bedding at the dairy, and 2 times a day, it would get "fluffed" up. Yes, the cows will sleep almost anywhere anytime, but much prefer dry spots. Another spot on video and especially about the wood chips. They will "lock up" nitrogen until they break down. You are very wise young man!
