I Know Arabic and don't you lie! This verse is from Surat Aal Omran verse 28 which toqyiah means if you happen to be among disbelievers and there is a danger on your life and they are forcing you to do what you don't believe in, you can just protect yourself and say what they say!
Muslims used to be tortured by their tribes or families in the beginning of Islam! you can just act the act without believing it to save yourself IF THERE WAS DANGER to yourself! You can just stay strong and face them if you want! For those who are not capable of facing dangers they are permitted to save themselves! I dnt know, I would rather believe that the God of TRUTH cannot lie. It doesn't make sense that someone would be made to look like Christ on the cross for the simple fact that you then need to ask who made someone look like Christ for everyone to see.
We only have a few options to answer this question, The Disciples, The Guards, The High Priests/Pontius Pilate or God. Let's look at each of these.
Could the Disciples make someone else look like Jesus?
Yes they could and this would work if it weren't for Judas (one of the disciples) betraying Jesus and handing him over. This would mean that he would definitely know what Jesus looks like.
Could the Guards have done this?
It's possible but extremely unlikely. If they had been found to have given the wrong person to the High Priests you can pretty much GUARANTEE that the Priests would've had them killed.
Could the High Priests or Pontius Pilate do this?
Pontius Pilate wouldn't do it. He had no care in the world whether they killed Jesus or not and washed his hands of the matter. So it wouldn't be him. The High Priests are the ones who wanted him dead, so why in the world would they allow for another to be disguised as Jesus. It makes literally no sense at all especially considering they thought many statements Jesus made were BLASPHEMOUS.
So this leaves God.
Now, why would God need to lie to anybody? Especially since he's the God of truth. It is impossible for him to lie, but the Quran suggests that he himself lied to save Jesus. Considering that it calls him the best of planners, but this isn't even what i'm focusing on. It's the fact that it says another "was made to look like him" which as we've seen can only have been done by God. So, why does God feel the need to lie? How can God lie?
Also, if you're going to try to say that in the Old testament God is a liar, please don't try that. I can explain each of those verses when put in context. The God of the bible does NOT lie. The God of the Quran seems to.
There is no misdirection here btw, just a simple look at what happened versus what Muhammad claims he received as a message from God. This is why it can't have been a message from God.

If Muslims closely studied their Koran they would find that it is truly pointing them to the truth, that Jesus Christ is God and man, Son of God the Father and Mary, who they call Miriam. Their prophet Mohamed is only mentioned 4x in their Koran, while Jesus is called the word of God and is mentioned by name more than 25 x.
Let's compare Jesus to Mohammed. The koran talks of how Jesus created a live bird from mud, how Jesus spoke at two days old, that Jesus is called the Spirit of God, the Word of God, and is called Jesus the Christ... Jesus cured a blind man, gave life to the dead, He is in heaven, and He will come again, but Mohammed is NOT called the word of God, he is NOT alive in heaven like Jesus, he had NO cures, he did NOTHING to create life or restore life to dead, thus If nothing else, Jesus is the greater prophet! Yes! Jesus is the greatest prophet! Jesus is the Son of God! ...a good Muslim would follow the greater prophet...which is Jesus!
Thus Muslims must become Christian... Please note that no women are mentioned in the Koran, except for Miriam (otherwise known as Mary). Jesus's mother Mary (Miriam) is the only women spoken of so highly in the Koran! For example, Chapter 3 "Family of Miriam" is the title. Chapter 19 "Miriam" is the title . It speaks of her being born without sin, being a virgin, and being assumed into Heaven physically. Muslims say Jesus can't be God because; how could God physically have a son without knowing a wife physically?
Their Koran says God can see without eyes, and He can hear without ears, so it only makes sense that He can have a son without knowing a wife physically. How did God create the universe? Through the word. Well, that word is Jesus! Chapter 10 vs 94.
So again Muslims must become Christians and follow the Holy Bible! It also states in the Koran that... If you have any doubt about what is in the Koran, go ask the people who have a Bible. Their own Koran convicts them to become Christian!
