  • THIS IS A WALKTHROUGH AND GAMEPLAY OF MY 1981 BALLY EIGHT BALL DELUXE PINBALL MACHINE. THIS MACHINE IS A RARE EARLY MODEL AND IS #40 OFF OF THE BALLY PRODUCTION LINE. THE FIRST 400 MACHINES CAME WITH WHITE BUMPER CAPS INSTEAD OF THE GOLDEN ONES AND SOME OF THE FIRST MACHINES HAD PLASTIC PLAYFIELDS INSTEAD OF WOOD. MY MACHINE HAS THE PLASTIC PLAYFIELD AND WHITE CAPS. THIS ACUTAL MACHINE WAS PURCHASED BY A OPERATOR IN 1981 AND WAS PUT IN STORAGE IN 1984. IT SAT IN STORAGE UNTIL I GOT IT IN 2017. AT THAT POINT I STORED THE GAME FROM 2017 UNTIL 2021. THIS MACHINE HAS BEEN IN STORAGE MOST OF ITS LIFE. THIS MACHINE IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION AND IS A EXCELLENT SURVIVOR SINCE MOST OF THESE GAME HAVE WORN OUT PLAYFIELDS. I FIRST PLAYED ONE OF THESE GAMES IN 1981 AT MALIBU GRAND PRIX AND HAVE BEEN ON THE HUNT FOR DECADES TO OWN ONE. THIS MACHINE IS NOW IN MY PERSONAL COLLECTION AND IS HERE TO STAY.

    When I ran pins and videos back in the day. I had all 3 Eight Ball's pinball, they were all excellent games. This machine you have is Top Notch

      @@727PENGO I forgot to mention in my message your playing skill.
      I know nudging is vital to this game, but when you are nudging and obviously not wanted to tilt, do you have any suggestions on where to how and where to nudge, especially when the ball is threatening to do down the out lanes?

    • @727PENGO
      @727PENGO  Před 2 lety +2

      When it comes to nudging it's all a matter of gauging on when and how much to nudge. Sometimes there is a time when nuding will help and sometimes it will be a disadvantage. Myself I try to stay on top of the ball and to get the feeling on how the ball is going to react. Flipper control is very important to tell the ball what you want instead of just batting it off. Some players like to be rough on the game and slap nudge, but I have never been that type of player since I have too much respect for the well being of a machine. It's also more important to know where to shoot the ball and what shots on the game are the drainer shots. I try to keep the ball away from the straight on drainer danger shots and use more of a ricochet shot to hit targets that can cause a drain.

    Brings back memories! One to One's "Don't Call it Love" samples the speech from this game. I remember thinking, "Hey, I know where that comes from!" the first time I heard that song.

    Nice table! I couldn’t help but chuckle when the machine said “Quit talking and start chalking” when you were describing the table. I think he was ready for you to play!

    Great Machine, I have a normal 1981 version. So much better than kiss and in fact Ballys best release in my opinion. The only pin in my collection I may probably never part with. Great video as you give it the "english" and know how to play it, haha.

      For the 1977 Bally Eight Ball, 1980 Eight Ball Deluxe and 1985 Eight Ball Champ Bally design these games all the same. 1-7 is the solids and they only light up for players 1 and 3. Players 2 and 4 play the 9-15 stripes. If you play a one player game, then balls 1-7 will be the only ones that will ever light up.
