Volvo red engine oil dipstick is shorter than the yellow ones!

All Volvo Cars come from the factory with a YELLOW oil dipstick. If at any point during the warranty period the owner complains to the dealer about oil consumption, they install a RED oil dipstick. The Red dipstick is slightly shorter. It Requires an additional half quart to reach the full mark. MY personal experience with the red dipstick is that if I add the extra half quart to reach the full mark, my engine burns that extra half quart pretty quickly, then it settles into the halfway point between the marks and doesn't burn hardly any after that. Something worth keeping in mind if you're experiencing similar behavior with your Volvo engine.
