    Tl;dw I like the setup a lot coming from a G29, but personally the Formula Mod and Brake Performance kit are essential additions to make the wheel feel really good. The wheel strength and FFB is perfect with the smaller, lighter rim. Have never used a load cell, but I do have a good feel for trail braking with this brake pedal. You can use a wheel stand but it will need to be fairly heavy-duty (I use Wheel Stand DD from NLR).
    There is gameplay with wheelcam on my channel if you wanna see it in action.

      Update on the brake performance kit: I bought a harder blue spring from China to replace the red one, and it has further increased the feel of the brake to improve my consistency. I honestly don't think a good load cell pedal would be a large upgrade from these SR-P Lites as I have them set up now.

      Update on ES Formula Mod: I wrapped the handles in some kickboxing hand wraps I had lying around, and I vastly prefer the increased thickness and rounded shape of them now, so you might want to consider doing something like that. The stock grips gave me thumb and wrist pain.

      @jamiemb17  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Also an update on the pedals - the blue spring gave me tendon issues in my ankle; I am now using the Moza SRP load cell pedals with the stock spring option and wearing socks, and am quicker and have no issues now with pain.

    Hi mate! Ive just bought r9+ es wheel mod. Cant wait to race! From what Ive read, in this kind of bases it's very important the weight of the wheel

    • @jamiemb17
      @jamiemb17  Před 11 měsíci +2

      Nice one, I'm not sure if I would prefer the ES Formula wheel or something like the FSR or new KS wheel if I had an R9, but the ES is way cheaper of course and you'll love it for sure. What pedals will you be using?

    Yep I came from the g29 to the r5 with clutch brake add ons a cs wheel and hgp shifter and the handbrake it is amazing compared to the g29 so so good I'm in love with it everything is built to a very high standard almost no plastic I absolutely love the cs wheel and the shifter is god tier good it is very satisfying to use if your on the fence about the r5 bundle don't think about it just buy it

      🙄
      Everything you should not do.... cs weighs 2.4 kg, it is one of moza's heaviest wheels... and what's more it measures more than 300 mm.
      The thing to avoid on this basis.

    Hey I’m looking to buy this bundle, I would have it mounted to my desk and my only concern is, would the resistance feedback make my monitors wobble?

    • @jamiemb17
      @jamiemb17  Před 11 měsíci +1

      it's hard for me to say as it depends on the sturdiness of your desk. I would certainly imagine it might be an issue. However, you can always turn down the feedback strength as much as needed in the settings. If you grab your desk and give it a fairly firm wobble then it should give you something of an idea what you'd be in for.

    I own a moza r5 set. I bought it 2 weeks ago.
    I have a srp pedal. I play an ACC racing game.
    After playing for an hour, the base gets very hot.
    Base settings pit house ACC settings.
    Does your r5 base also get hot?
    As a result of this heating, the base may malfunction in the future.

    • @jamiemb17
      @jamiemb17  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yes, mine gets hot on normal settings as well, but I don't think you should worry. The software monitors the temperature and limits the Force Feedback if the base gets too hot. So if you are ever playing and feel the Force Feedback get reduced, that would be because the base is overheating and the software is protecting it. If this doesn't happen then the temperature is fine. I have never noticed it happening.

    • @tiza41
      @tiza41 Před 11 měsíci

      @@jamiemb17 If the software will prevent problems due to overheating, good. Otherwise, Moza R5 Base will not have a long life. Thank you for the information.

    • @voongnz
      @voongnz Před 8 měsíci +3

      Mine doesn't get hot, just luke warm after more than 2 hrs, otherwise cold. My settings is 100% in pithouse and and only 80-85% in ACC, which is probably why mines cooler. But I don't feel I'm losing details, just so it doesn't clip the ffb signal.

    • @tiza41
      @tiza41 Před 8 měsíci

      @@voongnz Overheating will occur at 80-85% degrees. If you make 100% FFB and set the Miscelleaneous setting to radical in the pit house, then the overheating protection will intervene at 60 degrees. I use it at the radical setting. With 2 12cm fans, it only reaches 15 degrees above the room temperature.

      My pedals would be going under my desk and pressed up against my PC on the carpet, and the PC is against a wall. Is that enough resistance to stop the pedals from moving? Or would they still lift up from the front, even if my heels are on the little pad thing below the pedals? Kinda torn on buying this bundle because I don't want to have to mount anything
