Thank you, thank you, thank you. I spent my whole afternoon watching videos trying to find one that made sense to me and I finally found yours.
Aw, I'm so Glad it helped! It makes my heart happy to hear. tfw!
Your teaching skills are fantastic, thanx so much. 🌞
You are so welcome! Thank you for being so kind!
I've watched both parts twice now. I'm going to watch them again as I cover my first binder (yikes!). I'm making a sort of smash book for a friend's daughter who's having her first baby. I am so very thankful for this tutorial. Honestly, this is the best one I've seen. When I get it finished, I may send you a picture :)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad it was helpful. I would absolutely love to see a picture of it when you get it finished! tfw
Thank you for the help!!!
It's absolutely my pleasure, sweet friend!

I’ve been wanting to make a classic denim jean binder. You’ve inspired me. Can’t wait to start designing my own binder 🙌
@@iimsuperduper89 oh! Denim would be beautiful 😍 I hope you have so much fun with it!
Love Love the fabric you are using ......Thank you again for doing this for me..........👍 ❤️
you're welcome!
I love how you cover the space between the rings and the little spine crease area!!!!
Thank you! I tend to be a little extra lol, but I love how it turned out
I like the back folio idea. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the process.
You could also glue on a tyvek strip instead of washi .to reinforce the fold.
I love the idea of putting the folio flap on the back such a great idea. Tyfs
Thank you! I'm so into adding folios everywhere, lol
So glad your doing this tutorial. I love what you've done so far and that fabric is amazing!! Tfs🤗
Beautifully done Diane!! TFS!!! Huge hugs & Blessings!!! ❤️🥰

Great instructions
Thank you for not making me wait for part 2 because I'm doing this in real time with you😀. Pausing and gluing but I'm way slower than you.
haha! I saw your earlier comment and I thought you were working on it now so I went ahead and released the video so you wouldn't have to wait! Have fun!
@@shawcraft1 I'm really so greatfull to you.
@@rose5150fl Isn't she , just the best!!
@@iamwhatiam4075 yes she is. This is my first journal and I guess I just needed someone to hold my hand. Now I'm full of ideas😀
I thank you for this tutorial! I can’t wait to make one. 😀
I love this. TFS
and I love YOU Neppie!
Just found your channel. Love this journal
Welcome, Debbie! tfw!
Love it!
Great TFS
I think it might be easier to have used the natural fold of the file folder since it is already scored and cut each side to the size wanted rather than cutting in half and then scoring for a fold. Just a thought.
great idea ... I'll try that next time. Thank you!
Have you put pages in this one yet? Would for you to show it full. It beautiful.
Yes! I did. Here's a link to the flip through of it! Thanks so much.

I do hand binding and was going to make a friend of mine a handbound book. Now I think I'll make a covered ring binder instead. Thank you for the clear instructions on how to make one. Do you have a way to make a pocket in the back (starting at the bottom) instead of a file folder?
Yay! I hope you have so much fun making a ring binder journal. They're so much fun and really versatile. I love that you can take the pages in and out and move them around. If I don't use the file folder in the back, I generally just cut a piece of design paper to fit the back cover, glue it or stitch it on (if you stitch it on, do it before you glue it down) and then glue it in to the back cover. Or, sometimes, I use a piece of very old quilt and just glue it in to the back cover. Those are a couple of different ideas you can use. If you want something a little easier, just simply glue in an envelope to use as a pocket.
Thanks for sharing this.
I do have a question though..
Should glue go over the top of the fabric to protect it and keep it clean?
You could do that if you want. It certainly wouldn't hurt at all. Tfw
loved this video; when it comes to these ring binders, how do you get the papers to fit the holes w/o having to individually make holes in each sheet? It seems like none of these ring binders are really standard sizes; any insight you can shed on that would be helpful. thanks!
actually, I punch every single one of them by hand because I do a lot of ring binder journals and none of them ever seem to be the same so it's hard to try to get a hole punch that would accomodate them. It's a process, but I do it in the evenings when I'm watching tv with my honey. Makes it seem less tedious that way lol
Loved ❤️how it turned out. Can I use mod pause to glue the fabric??
Yes, absolutely. Whatever glue you feel comfortable with will work just fine!
I have just enjoyed watching your tutorial on a covered ring binder journal. Both parts were well done and the instructions were very clear. Now my question is, you kept referring to your Bulldogs. Since I am from the South too, is it Georgia or Miss. State? Looking forward to your answer.
Haha! Die hard Ga Bulldawgs fan here!!! My husband is die hard Ole Miss Rebels so it's definitely NOT Miss State lol ... or I'd be divorced hahaha
Instead of sanding, would gesso work?
Your choice of colors with the fabric and papers was very pretty. Tysm
yes! you can absolutely use the gesso in place of sanding
This is a great tutorial! Thank you so much.
I have a question: how would you cover the inside of a binder if the binder has pockets already?
Thank you so much - Sylvia
Thank you! You have a couple of options. You can either use paper to decorate the pockets that are already there, or you can cut out the original pockets and create it the way you want it! I tend to cut out the pockets. Happy crafting!
My binder has a plastic cover on it should I sand it to help my fabric adhere ?
yes! Absolutely sand it or gesso it or the glue won't hold well.
NM I found it🤣
So sorry for the delay in responding to you doll ... I've been injured and limited. I'm so glad you found what you were looking for
