Let's all give this event crazy good feedback in the survey once it's out. I had such a good time playing it, and I'd really love for them to make these legacy formats like goat and edison permanent, or at least long enough for it to be worth crafting the cards. Was such a welcome change of pace from this headass Snake Eyes format
I did this tryout event using a deck containing slate warriors, morphing jar, dice jars, wave motion cannon, ojama trio, ground collapse, and various stall cards or removals. It locks down the monster zones with ground collapse and ojama trio as it charges a big lasr to end your life points
Indeed, basically any alternative format and I would actually play the game. So many ppl are like me in that they grew up with the game but have fallen out because of how the modern game is, but still love yugioh. It’s free money! They literally already made the thing so many ppl love lol. Why not take advantage of it?
That Goat format on MD was actually so fun. I played Pac-Man and it was surprisingly fun. Getting to resolve two lacooda, swarm of scarabs and swarm of locusts was the most fun ive had in any event format in a while. My second favorite format right after N/R format.
I spent this event munching noobs with PACMAN. It was my first time playing that deck and I love the slow, soul crushing, boa constrictor, quicksand, complete-control-over-the-opponent playstyle that that deck has.

This game needs multiple, permanent formats so bad. Like the events we get are fine and should stay, but we also need those snapshots of the game's history people look back fondly on as an alternative to plain ol' ranked.
@@fieldoflettuce7091 At the very least adding a persistent ranked pauper format (either N only or N/R only) and an unranked rotation of 2-3 popular alternative formats (GOAT, Edison, HAT?) would add a lot of longevity to the game.
