Great rare film found. Wish there was more. This is the Roller Derby I most remember & sorely miss. Should you have anymore much appreciated.

Hi! Both my mom and dad skated for the San Francisco Bay Bombers wearing the #37 from 1959-1982…do you have any more Roller Derby footage?

Not having been old enough to watch the original Roller Derby from the early 70s and beforehand but seeing the later IRSL as a kid, I remember hearing announcer Ken Kunzelman call the games. He was an outstanding announcer.

So sad there waa no home video small hand held cameras or cell phones with video back then. How much Roller Derby and Roller Games video we would have to enjoy today. The classic match ups, match races and Presidential Cup Playoffs that were held in our Cherry Hill Arena in Haddonfield N.J. would have made everyone out there say now that was Roller Skating. So sad The match race between Jim The King Trotter vs. Lester Quarles no one will ever see or experience one of the most violent match races ever.

I think I saw Eddie Krebs, Cookie Kadyra, Cathie Read, maybe Pam Caneva, and several other veterans.

This was during the '71-'72 expansion to 6 teams: Southwest Bombers, NY Chiefs, MW Pioneers, Southern Eagles, Cincinnati Jolters and Red Devils. Tony Roman & Carol Meyer were on the MW Pioneers.

Never knew Eddie Krebbs skated for the Bombers!

When Charlie O'Connell went to the New York Chiefs in the Fall-Winter of 1971, Eddie Krebs skated for the San Antonio Bombers. This must had been around that time period which suggests same. After all Lydia Clay was still woman's captain of the Red Devils then.
