If he turns out well on this team then yes. The problem is we have to many guys at this point. We still got jd Davidson from last year who still needs playing team. And how is he going to get in rotation over Hauser and Payton.
@@noe1else. I'm not sure if he'll play much right away. It's all about the future. Hauser will be an unrestricted free agent after the 24-25 season and Scheierman could plug into his spot as a shooting floor spacer with more upside than Hauser. Pritchard and Davison are point guards and not really in competition for playing time with a forward like Sheierman.

Do we think he's also Sam Hauser insurance in case he gets a rich offer from another team in free agency? I was hoping for a big man with pick #30, but I'm surprised Scheierman fell to them here. They got a solid NBA-ready role player!
He seems to be comfortable in traffic with contact, which is nice. Idk his defense but he will need to fit in on that end if he wants minutes.
I would put faith in the Boston coaching staff. They really do emphasize defense in their young guys development even if it isn’t anything but average. Look at Hauser and Pritchard who are definitely not good defenders, but give maximum effort on that end that they can still get minutes while not breaking the team defense up

As a Celtics fan I really want to see him play. I can’t stand how we go about our rookies and young guys, giving them a grand total of 5 minutes the entire season. A handfull of picks have sucked lately, guys like Jabari bird, semi whatever, romeo Langford, ect but I really hope he can get minutes and pan out for us! #banner19

C- and you know it. Only can play one position and he is small at it. Wont see the court much and his age basically says wasted pick. Hype him up all you want but we needed flip here he was practically gift wrapped for us and Tatum has already said we are going to regret that and I agree.

The idea we drafted a guard that is already 24 so not much upside. Brad said on the pat Mac show we were going for youth. So something is off. We drafted not for need not best available and older c+

Hauser may not be here long term so they need a replacement. Don't know why you complain about them drafting similar players, they are drafting players that fit into their system and this kid does.
